We are possibly picking up this truck Saturday for my son. My Dad buys every grandchild their first car. I love it!

You should tell your son how lucky he is to have a Grandpa like that , I had to buy my own vehicles including the first one , but things might have been different if my Grandpa had lived longer .

Oh believe me...I'll be reminding him. My Dad is giving him his I think it's a 1964 Impala that has won car shows many times. Not sure where the hell we'll put it but we won't worry about that as long as Dad is living. My Dad is all about cars and can work on anything except the newer ones. My Dad has worked very hard and obviously loves his family. My son will be working as soon as he can drive. That's the deal.

I can't work on the new cars either , they make it next to impossible with all the crap they put on them now .

Morning Army! Thanks for cheering me on Bridget...that's why I keep posting about it. You all are a great support and it keeps me on my toes. I'm hooked! I'm a Nike girl but I'll check out my options in shoes. I think I got dehydrated too Hula although I was drinking water the entire time. It's hot here and I was drenched (and too much beer the night before). I was always a runner in my younger years and I even ran the mile in track in school, but I haven't felt this good in a long time.

Hope everyone has a fantastic day! Looks like another hot one here.

I was never a runner, I'd rather swim or ride a bike and after standing in a classroom for 20 my feet can't take the pounding any more.

I get no anise in Jiggy...it's all gummybears. Not fond of it.

I like the fruitier and off center NET flavors already so Jiggy, Sludge, Georgia Peach, Huntsman, (Mad Merdock's Maha Ras). But my taste is all over the spectrum, cause I also like the creamy nutty ones too. :D

I just broke out some Blackberry Burley a couple of days ago -- it's about 8 months old and it has matured nicely. Speaking of, anyone know what's going on with N-E-T?

Yup it did mature nicely, didn't it? Last I heard from Dusty's report from the NET thread hear was that Clay is still pumping out orders best he can.

Thank you! She has been so encouraged by her exchanges with you, and your comments here. Our family loves you! The girls were here last night and I showed Jessi and Ashley (my oldest) your pic from the mug shots thread. They both said you are beautiful! And they love your hair. You have friends in PA. If we ever get to meet, you are owed a big ol hug! And a beer. ;)

Jessi just put up some good stuff on her website if you're interested. jessilee

When I read RJ's post I thought about asking you to post that link again. I'd like to listen to her music again, she does have a beautiful voice. Thanks.

Because arguing about flavor is the Army national pass-time! ;) Anise is an Army favorite to argue about, it seems.

Add to list under Huntsman and Sludge.

You sounded like a transcended Zen master there, Bronze. ;)

All it took to put me off of Jiggy was the pic of a hookah. Before I found the wonderful world of vaping, I bought a small hookah thinking it might help me quit. I never want to taste those flavors again. Pptttooooeeey!

Like Sludge, or Huntsman, Jiggy is not for everyone, however, the proof of the pudding is in the tasting. I wouldn't mark it off your try list just yet. Ya never know till you try it.

You put your thumb on it. The description of Jiggy does not make it enticing does it? Floral? I don't think so. :)

Jiggy was the very last tobacco I sampled. And when I did I knew why.

I think Fruity/Herbal would be better descriptive words for it. True, it doesn't please all tastes.

RJ, something you might find inspiring about Jessi is that in her mid to late teens she suffered almost paralyzingly social anxiety. We worked through it together, and she took some brave steps to overcome it. Earlier this month, she got a call to open for Alice Tan Ridley's local concert. Show started at 6 or 7, and the call came at 3:30 that day. Instead of being terrified, she was excited! We can do amazing things when we set our minds and make the effort!

That's a wonderful story LA, glad she was able to work through her problem. :)

Chak, I am firmly in the Sludge camp. Haven't made up my mind about Hunstman. I like it, just not every day - yet.

Also, if I am running, you should too. Something is chasing me. (Apologies - it's an overused joke, but it makes me giggle anyway!)

The link for the recent album isn't on her website. Here you go, and thanks, Chak!

Aww...that is so sweet! I have enjoyed her CD twice today through and through. You have a very talented daughter! And with my newfound life changes, you never know with me. I may just make it up there one day. And if you ever find yourself in Alabama, come on over! ;)

I'm so glad Jessi was able to overcome her obstacle. Her voice and music should be shared and I bet she is fabulous in concert. :)

:glare: You ARE a big ol' tease!! ;) I don't do well on weekends but I tried hard today. Momma's cooking is hard to resist. But I just did 3.25 miles with half of it running. I'm getting stronger every day but my feet hurt. Was just thinking about what Retic said about Boston...I may need to think about charity runs. Give me something to work towards.

it was me... let things build up before you work it too hard :)
