Bronze, I have it in several places. Mainly in my hands, and shoulders. I didn't realize the pain in my feet was arthritis. He felt the joints in my feet, and said that was what he thought it was. I've had this problem a while. He said we can do x-rays to know for sure. I said no need. Let's just assume that is what it is. Every time I get x-rays, it confirms what was suspected, and I get a huge bill, to top it off. I probably have it in my neck as well. I was in a bad car wreck many moons ago. That is what happened to my neck. I don't want to take pain medicine for it. It doesn't do that much good, and the side effects can be worse than the initial problem. I have a friend who makes his own Dit Da Jow. I use that, and it helps, more than pharma meds. Now that I know what is wrong with my feet, I have other things I can put on them too. I bought some decent sports shoes last year, because of this pain, just for the cushion.

I know they have juvenile arthritis, so I was lucky I never had that. My son had it for a little while, after a bad case of strep throat. Thankfully it went away. I can't imagine a youngster having this full time. You are right, it sucks.

I had a doctor tell me when I was 40 that I had arthritis. I had problems as early as 23 years old when my Achilles went south. I was a fairly good athlete as a kid and into my early 20's. Inflammation took care of that. I have it constantly. I've just learned to deal with it and when I get tired of it ibuprofen still works pretty good. Like you, don't want to be loading up on Nsaids and other meds so I use them sparingly.

Something to keep in mind with your feet KK. My chiro gave me some custom fit foot pads when my Achilles were bad at age 23. They worked!!! Ever since then I have had a pair of custom foot pads and it keeps my feet pain free (helps the knees and hips too). They level the load on your feet so the weight doesn't fall on just a few points. The entire foot carries your weight using the custom pads. They are expensive but the best money I have ever spent on any kind of medical service or device. The Good Feet stores are a good place to get them. Again...expensive, but very effective. That Dr. Scholls crap at the stores are worthless.

I'd like to start the day off with a little prayer if y'all don't mind.

Dear Lord,

So far today, I am doing alright. I have not procrastinated, lost my temper, been greedy, grumpy, nasty, selfish or self-indulgent. I have not whined, hollered, cursed, or eaten any chocolate. I have not charged on my credit card or drunk any spirits.

However, I am going to get out of bed in a few minutes, and I will need a lot more help after that.

Amen

My feet hurt also if I don't wear shoes when standing. I thought that was normal, lol.

The dang dog.. He hung/ripped a toenail on Sunday. No biggie, so I thought. Came home yesterday and he had licked all the hair off of the toe and the nail looks nasty. Put some essential oils on it last night and today to keep him from licking it more (and disinfect), and went to the vet today with a picture of it. Steroids and antibiotics, hoping it heals up.

Nope..but I should have! :D

Here's a joke from the Irish side of the family:

98-year-old Mother Superior from Ireland was dying. The nuns gathered around her bed trying to make her last journey comfortable.

They tried giving her some warm milk to drink but she refused it.

One of the nuns took the glass back to the kitchen and remembering a bottle of Irish whiskey received as a gift the previous Christmas, she opened it and poured a generous amount into the warm milk.

Back at Mother Superior's bed, she held the glass to her lips.

Mother drank a little, then a little more and before they knew it, she had drunk the whole glass down to the last drop.

"Mother," the nuns asked with earnest, "please give us some wisdom before you die."

She raised herself up in bed and said, "Don't sell that cow!"

I got TPR Ramagalia's Toscano Gold today in the vapemail..Tastes just like a Tuscany straight from Italy FOOB..Can't wait 'til this one steeps a bit. :p

Ahhhh at a hotel for the night. Only made it about a couple of hours before we decided we were too beat to go closer to home and farther from the madness of the Masters in Augusta.

I swear timing is everything! No sooner than we got into the room my cell phone rings. It's my grandson (my son's oldest boy, the one that broke his arm). It FaceTime time! :) His first words "Mommy's got a baby in her belly". OMG This will be my SIXTH!!!!!!! Grandchild!  Due date is November 1st.

My daughter is going to drive me nuts, Home for five months after Loser #5, and the Saga continues. First he threatens her friends, then he tries to bring her a new car. As in, it's in the driveway new car. Which, after a week, she returns to him. Then he 'stalks' her through phone calls and emails. Now it's supposedly (Finally) over, and he's bringing the "Last of her Stuff" over. More clutter in my garage. Then, after I ask if she's OK, and she says yes, I go back inside. Now apparently she's hopped into his truck and gone off with him.
And, after 520 miles and 16 hours today, I really should be in bed asleep. 1am is only four hours away....

I'd be concerned if you were getting behind the wheel of a big rig with not enough sleep. Get to bed, Pops! Rest well!!
