My check up is next month and this time I get to wear a Holter Monitor before the actual check up to see how the heart is acting. I had a couple of incidents in the last year where my heart would race like crazy - beating so fast and irregularly that our PB machine could measure it. It would do that for a good 5 - 10 minutes then go back to normal. Not sure what that's all about...

I've worn those before. They used to make me wear them for 24 hours. Recently, I wore one for 2 weeks! It's sort of a PITA but at least it helps the docs figure out what's going on with your ticker. Best of luck with yours.

Contrary to what is said out there, we (mods) do not have access to your PM's, so can't really get in there to figure out what is what.

Check all your folders, Inbox, Sent etc to make sure that they are in order.

It could also be that it needs until the next server refresh before it sorts itself out.

Thanks Pappy, I'll keep y'all updated. I believe my problem happened when I over did it with the drinking. Usually, I limit myself to only a couple 500 ml cans or a couple of quarts max. But on a couple of occasions (Christmas Eve) we had quite a bit more than that. A day or two after that the ol' ticker went haywire for about 15 minutes or so. Since it happened before, I didn't go in to ER because I knew by the time I got there the symptoms would be gone. I did talk to my heart specialist after that and that's when he ordered the Holter for me.

Ok, learn something new every day. I'll check my folders and get rid of any excess baggage. Maybe that'll help.

You were right, Bridget. I can now send PM's again. There was also something else going on - my supporting membership ran out and I didn't renew it, so I lost the extra storage space privileges that came with that.

I miss Phil

2 yrs.. Wow.

I'm back from my most amazing and inspirational women's retreat. Lots of laughter, tears, growth, expanding of the heart, good food, a nice hike, new friends, old friends, inspiration and direction.

Nice to be home though, and traveling with 3 women and meeting up with 4 more ladies was a bit trying at times. I'd do it again in a heartbeat, but I'd keep the group smaller. Agreeing on dinner and times and activities... A beautiful lesson in patience and tolerance.
