Yeah, it's like when she's inside I'm outside, when she's upstairs I'm down... LOLChak I can totally relate to working together and living together, there are days it's tough and we have separate buildings![]()
Small steps General. She's still breathin'.I think she jumped from a chair and landed awkwardly or fell, causing radial nerve or other deep spinal bruising. However, she IS using her front legs and managing to hobble which is brilliant news (ergo she isn't paralyzed, thank the Gods). And these things take time to recover from.

We had a cat (died 2-1/2 years ago) that jumped up on the counter above the dishwasher. I didn't see it but I was in the next room and heard her scream her head off. I think she came up short and somehow got a paw stuck in something and wrenched it real bad. She gimped around for a few days. That subsided but it was obvious her jumping skills had deteriorated. From that point forward I had to put stools next to the couch and bed so she could crawl up on them. And she used them! I thought I could take advantage and not put one next to the bed and she'd leave me alone so I could sleep in peace. No go! She'd sit next to the bed and wail. As you know, cats always get their way.
I hear ya! We do have stools and steps and pillows all over the place. But you know cats! - they get it in their heads they "can do this". And old bones and bad falls just don't work out together. She's also hyperthyroid which leads to even greater skinniness - I remember someone suggested Nutrical high calorie paste... Thank you. I did get some the day before and syringe about 3 teaspoons down her to get her padding back up, specially as her eating has been so light lately and she just can't afford to lose an ounce. Luckily for us, she doesn't "hate" the taste, so that's good news.
Our cat became anemic and we had to put her down at 17 years old. I think the nutrical is a good idea for skinny pets. The one cat we have left is skinny too. Can't tell because she is a hairy cat. When you subtract the hair there isn't much cat there.
Do you ever have those days where you feel like you are just hitting your head against a brick wall?
Ugh.

Been a frustrating run, maybe tomorrow will be better.
Good night y'all

Yes. For most of the past year+ ... and it will pass. Sometimes it's a signal that you need to slow down a bit, maybe just write off the day and see how you feel tomorrow. Hugs!
Hi, everyone! Hope all is well with all y'all.
