Morning y'all. Nothing blooming here yet but the daffodils and hyacinths are looking hopeful. They're my favorite just because I know they'll be there to remind me its almost over, gonna have to plant some more this fall.

That's one thing I do miss. We can't grow those bulb flowers here because they need the winter hibernation to come back and bloom. We do have plants that flower all year so I guess the trade off is fine ;)

The fam will be home late this evening. I've had a nice week all by my lonesome, except for doing their chores. Office is closed today, heading for groceries soon, then dinner with a girlfriend.

Put the lab on new food-grain free. Also trying Bravecto for flea/tick control. It's a chewable that lasts 12 weeks. Not too many reviews out there but the vet recommended it. Anyone here used/tried it? It's expensive at $45 each but spread over 12 weeks not too bad really.

RJ, BK, Retic, and April - hope you have a fab time in NOLA. Looking forward to the stories..:laugh:

Just ordered my dress and shoes for the August wedding. :rickroll:

Found a coupon in the magazine....no coupon code to be seen on the thing! Order came to a little over $500 (two pairs of shoes, cardigan and a dress ) so I really wanted to get that $50.00 off.

I call them up on Hubby's suggestion, and OhMyGod, I ended up with $142 off the whole thing. The second pair of shoes matches the dress I found for the rehearsal dinner. Perfectly!

Now just hope it all fits when it gets here. I'm sure the dress is good, the other one that I bought from there was just a tad big, but totally works in case I do end up gaining a few pounds over the week beforehand

Finally! Done.

I can quit shopping searching websites now.

The degree of difficulty goes up exponentially with the addition of each girl. Something like this.....

1 girl: Total hell!
2 girls: Total hell x 5
3 girls: Total hell x 100
4 girls: Total hell x 1 million.

My dad had a saying similar to that about his four sons:

1 son sheer bliss
2 sons sheer chaos
3 sons sheer bedlam
4 sons sheer hell on Earth
:2cool:

Have fun, on a much needed break. :)

No, I have never heard of Bravecto. I will have to read up on it. I have to be careful with my dog, because she is a herding dog. It would be nice to have something work for 12 weeks though. Does you husband take the lab hunting in the field, or wooded area? That is how you know whether it really works. I am going to take my pup out in the woods probably a few days after she gets her next dose of flea med. I don't want her getting fleas and ticks on her, and bringing them home.
