So thanks in part to HHV, I'm having to say goodbye to some of my juices. There are just too many in the old wooden box now. I filled a clearo with the last of an old favorite this morning. It was able to share a place with the likes of Gandalf and Boba's and such before I tried more from HHV, but even the ones I liked the least from there make this pale in comparison, and I must make room for more HHV. And now, alas, it's time to say goodbye. I find myself humming "Auld Lang Syne". Is that a tear in the corner of my eye?

So I tried heavenly tobacco last night straight from the vapemail. It's good. Not gandalf good but worth a try especially if you've liked other ry4's. Sweet caramel is what I'm tasting. That may change as it ages though. Tuscan cocoa...similar to oompa but more chocolate. Kinda mild right now but I'm sure it's going to get very good with some time.

Thanks for the review Dante. I still have myy HHV sampler steeping in a dark, undisturbed place (a carton of cigarettes). I'll break them out on Saturday and give them another go. Heavenly tobacco is one of them. Can't wait! Did you get any of that choco flavor?

I get LOTS of caramel in Heavenly Tobacco, but I don't get even a hint of chocolate. Vanilla yes. Sweet tobacco, yes. Something else I can't quite put my finger on, yes. Chocolate, no.

Excellent! Caramel I can handle. Chocolate, I can't. To some, that is splitting hairs. To me, it's the difference between a reorder and never reordering. Thanks for the review GT.

That other thing might be honey, but I'm not sure, it's elusive. I'm starting to think I taste honey in Dragon's Fire, so it could be a flavor they use. Sometimes I think this must be what a wine taster feels like. :)

Honey is good...that is kind of a caramel-like taste...creamy butter is in the same category. A smokier sweet instead of a sugary sweet. GT, how long did you let it steep before you vaped it?

Nope not any chocolate in heavenly tobacco for me. I used to vape a lot of 555's and ry4's when they were all the rage. This just tastes like a good ry4. Caramel tobacco is what I get right now. I have a feeling though that in a few days there's a vanilla undertone that's gonna come out.

4 or 5 days is usually all I steep HT (which is probably closer to a week counting shipping time). It's actually pretty good out of the box, but it's better in a few days, to me anyway. It doesn't need 2 weeks for sure.

Agree. I think most of these are getting pretty darn good after about 4-5 days once I receive them. Oompa and dragons fire have changed the most over a 2 week period for me. I'll try em all right from the mailbox though. Patience is not my strong suit. Isn't it said patience killed the cat? Well maybe that's curiosity but in my case it's patience. ;)

Well, I will have steeped my HHV sampler one full week (plus a few days shipping time) by Saturday when I plan on starting to vape them again. I'm just going to take the entire Gandalf sampler and dump it into my Vivi Nova and I'm going to vape every last drop whether I like it or not. I thought it was mediocre when I first sampled it out of the mailbox so it isn't like it's going to kill me. I'll either like the steeped version upon the first vape or I will guzzle the entire thing and acquire that mysterious flavor...one way or the other.

A week is minimum for me for Gandalf. Have you looked at the bottle and noticed the color change? It goes from a light tan to a darker brown on me, that's usually when it's about to get there.

I looked at my HHV samplers. Now, I can't exactly recall what they looked like when I got them. I looked, but that doesn't mean I can remember. But I recall them being a medium amber color. Not light, but not dark. So now they are varying shades with Gandalf being the darkest (but I'd call in dark amber before I called it dark brown). I actually opened that one when I got it and then closed it up right away. I have not opened any of the others. The Pirate's Booty is nearly the same darkness as the Gandalf. Then noticeably lighter is the HeavenlyTobacco and Huntsman. Not sure what this is telling me but I am fairly certain the Gandalf has darkened since I first got it five days ago. I wonder if I should let them sit 10 days. I want to be sure it is settled in. I don't want to discount it unfairly and gyp myself out of a potentially great juice. BTW, I just got my BlueMist sampler today too. That one is going into a deep coma for awhile too. By the time I get done with the HHV's, it ought to be ready. And then I ordered that stuff you and I got from Goodejuice this morning. So I'll be busy sampling the next few weeks. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying this VG/CE3 vape.

BTW GT, what is your PG/VG ratio on your Gandalf (and other HHV's)? I know the samplers are 70/30. Just wondering what you settle in at on reorders. I know Dante settles in about 40/60 but I think he said it was because he doesn't react well with PG.

100% VG. About the only juice I wish I could get not 100% VG is Boba's. That stuff is like syrup, but AVE doesn't give you a choice. It isn't that I'm allergic to PG or don't like juices higher in PG, I just like the smoothness of high VG when I can get it. I think it's sweeter too. And I don't require the TH I used to need when I was closer to being an analog smoker.

It's a lot more work keeping the clearos clean though. :(

That Heavenly Tobacco isn't going to get any darker by the way. You might save the Gandalf for last and give it every extra day you can. Although, you have smaller bottles and they seem to speed up steeping a little (to me). Let me know what you think of Huntsman. That's next on my list.
