Well RJ, I extended the olive branch the day after he left so I don't think he'll be back. I left the invite open. His call.

You know, I read all that stuff at that point in time, and it seems there was a lot of misunderstanding going on. I've said before that the written word - off the cuff on forums such as this - is easily misconstrued unless precise language is employed. This phenomenon is recognized as a problem in email communication in business. To the point that email should always be quite businesslike, precise, and proofread before sending. In a forum like this, such care is necessarily not the norm. Too bad folks jump to erroneous conclusions and take offense, when the intended message's intent and nuances of language are imprecisely conveyed. I see this sort of breakdown in communication all the time. For myself, I try not to take everything typed into a message at face value. Punctuation can also play havoc with being understood/understanding. Just something to consider.

After reading all the hype, I get it now. Legend has become part of my daily rotation. It really did get better. Now I'm eyeballing my Dragon's Fire. I received it on 3/14. It was probably made a few days before that... I want to tear into it... Should I continue letting it steep? The smell still mystifies me. Sweet but undefinable. I'm eagerly looking forward to this new discovery. I will be making larger purchases with this vendor again, fo' sho'.

Dark Horse and Huntsman... DEFINITELY on my list.

Taste it, and decide for yourself. I like it fresh and steeped.

I like Dragon's Fire with at least a week under its belt :p And that is after the required 2 day cap and dripper off. ;)

In communications, we get about 9% from words, 39% from tone and volume, and 52% from facial expressions and body language. That is a good reason why flare ups occur on forums (and with work emails) and why sarcasm rarely works.

*Bappo nerd alert*

And that is why emoticons are almost essential to use. :D

Yep. Now you know why the Iceman is so roundly disdained on the internets. As if I care ;) (Disclaimer: Ice is being sarcastic. Disregard him completely, or just tell him to eff off)

DF is great right away, but gets better after 2-3 weeks. I don't notice a change after that amount of time.

Huntsman after a good 3 week steep is so good you'll immediately order a few 50 ml bottles of it. (I did) ;)

What is this? I can't tell.. It's good. I taste caramel... I think...Yes. Cocoa or caramel. I've had a few drinky drinks so my taste buds could be off... This is currently indescribable but good... Really good. What am I supposed to be tasting?

That's what I taste too. It might be a bit richer in flavor after a longer steep, but that's the flavor. Honeyed tobacco (not everyone gets the cocoa, but I do, so you're not crazy there) :)

I totally agree. Pendragon is a joke and Heavenly Army is really awesome. :)

Don't listen to the chumps on the Natural Tobaccos' thread unless their name is Scarf-ace. ;)

Totally stealing that line.

I must concur with that opinion. I decided to give Pendragon another chance, in my AGA-S. Still can barely taste it. Sunday Morning is better, but still weak. Like Ray said, airy and diluted.
