Just when I want to put an end to my addiction to gadgetry, you go and pique my interest again. Thanks a lot, Pal! Now I have to go check it out.

Same here. And I'm also going to check out this drip shield stuff with a 306 atty. I do love me some dripping! Thanks for the help everyone!

So today I have dedicated a new atty to Dark Horse from HHV. I think I will be reordering Gandalf and Huntsman. And I really want to go ahead and try the Swisher Sweet juice she has. When the budget allows. And you are nailing how I feel about her juices Bronze. Just an unassuming, light and smooth vape, without any KERPOW. Nice vapes with lots of vapor and smooth tobacco flavor.

Hi Hulamoon! LOL, yes cats don't have owners, they have servants. LOL Too funny. I'm off to read that thread about the face rash. Thanks! So how long have you been vaping and did vaping help you quit smoking? For how long? Hawaii must be dreamy. I've never been there but when I retire in 8.5 years I'm going to start traveling and Hawaii is on my list! Do you like HHV and which ones are your favorites?

I mix their stuff all the time.

Yeah, I don't know what it is about Johnson Creek that makes it so good for blending. I have rescued more bad juices with Johnson Creek I can't begin to tell you...and rescued some of their own bad juices I might add. I like some of them alone too, but it does such a good job of blending with other juices (including other vendors) that I use most of it as a blend than I do alone. I made some concoction last night that was knocking my socks off. The bad part was I don't think I could repeat it. I tried once but didn't hit the bulls-eye. I'm afraid that might be the girlfriend of my youth that I loved but could never have. Great stuff if you ask me.

Selfishly, I want you to try Huntsman next, cause I haven't had that one. :)

I've heard a lot of people say they like Huntsman better than Gandalf.

Huntsman it is GT! I'll put that one in my on-deck circle. I'd have done it by now but I'm still grooving on this Gandalf. It just keeps getting better. I'm starting to wonder if Heather sells this by the drum.

Nope no drums unfortunately. Not even
pints. I can second that huntsman. It's not my favorite but I can see a lot of ppl liking it. It's stronger and sweeter than the others IMO.

Well, I'm gonna find out soon. I just walked in the office here and I'm about ready to yank out another Mini Nova or T2 and I'm gonna fill 'er up with some of this Huntsman. Somehow, I'm not afraid of HHV's like I am of other vendors so there's no point in dripping it or using it in an M3. Just dump her in and go for it. I have only 1mL remaining of my Gandalf as I've been sucking it up big time. I'll set that aside for awhile and dig into this other stuff. I didn't see where the mailman deliverd my Bella Vista or Natural Perique (or whatever the names of that was) that Mr. Mann talked me into getting. But I'm not sure I care as long as I have these HHV samplers.

Agree with this. HHV 100% VG isn't "thin", but compared to some, like Boba's for instance, which has the consistency of cold maple syrup, HHV 100% VG is not bad at all. It is not an atty killer.

After thinking on this a little while, and realizing I've probably had PG allergy/sensitivity reactions to some other things over the past few years, I'm going 100% VG. I was wondering if the 100% VG folks try to thin their juices? HHV is getting an order from me today at 100% VG. I'll need to vape for a couple of weeks to pinpoint any improvement. And I think I'll go get allergy tested as well. I thought my brother was the only one with allergies?!? Who knew? After googling, it seems PG allergies are fairly common. The list of other names for PG is HUGE too. It's in everything. So no Swisher Sweet juice for me as it isn't in her Purity line. I'm also glad my Highbrow can be requested at 100% VG with extra flavoring. I'm now 100% VG all the way. I'm glad I can vape most anything because now I can't purchase samplers for testing with any PG. I'll just have to order wisely, and really look at reviews of juices, to see if it's something I'll like. From now on, the only moisturizer going on my body will be unrefined unbleached organic coconut oil. LOVE THAT STUFF. Thank you HHV for offering a purity line. WHEW!

I never have, always afraid I'd mess up the flavor. If you're a dripper, I don't think you'll have any problem with HHV's 100% VG. If you decide to try a different delivery system, you might have to be careful what you get. Not all of them wick high VG well.

Good researching. And if you stay with the 100% VG, then you will know in quick order if the PG was/is the problem. Unfortunately, there are not as many options with 100% VG but that doesn't mean there aren't still some good options. As you say, you can get Heather's Purity line. Take a gander at Johnson Creek's Red Oak line too. All PG-free juices in their Red Oak line. Check in with me before ordering anything from JC though as I might be able to steer you in the right direction with a little profiling if you choose to give them a try.

And yes, I tried thinning VG with distilled water at varying ratios. I was not impressed with the results. It didn't kill the flavor but it didn't especially improve the burning either. With VG, I think you are going to have to accept more cleaning and dry burning of your equipment. There are worse things in life (like a mouth rash).

I'm a dripper for sure. I love everything about dripping, and I don't even mind the messiness! All the wick-type systems just weren't the same as dripping. So...Highbrow, HHV, and AVE (and I'm sure there are others, I got some researching to do) will probably be my vendors of choice. Not a bad list if I may say so myself! I only have Hype from AVE (ugh...I don't know why all the hype about that particular juice) but it still has 10% PG, but I'm glad to see they have many favorably reviewed juices. HHV here I come! I would think a thicker juice is probably better for dripping anyway. Thanks! Now I'm off to do chores before the football game. ROLL TIDE! :)

Oh! Another good one! My first vape was JC (the PG kind). Good idea! I love their Tennessee Cured, and I hear their Red Oak is even better than the PG one. I enjoyed their Espresso as well. They don't get enough attention here...and they have one awesome website with tons of information to help vapers. So that's a 4th vendor for me!! Thanks!

They have a newer one called Silverthorn. That's tobacco paradise. And yes, the TN Cured in the VG is better than the PG. I've had both extensively.

Ahlusion offers 100% VG. It's on the list! I'm sure there are tons more. I just want to try HHV for two weeks first for testing of the "all VG" reaction. I'm dying for more Huntsman!

I have my Hunstman review coming shortly (not that anyone gives a rat's rump). I've vaped 1.5mL so far and want to get through the last 0.5mL before reviewing.

Funny that I just received my order of huntsman about an hour ago and it is 100% VG for the first time. It works great in my vivi nova and the taste is not much different. It is not that thick and vapes great. Just not as much TH but tons of vapor.

Hey RJ - Its nearly always 100% VG for me. PG gives me the "heavy lungs/tight chest" problem.

Thinning: I guess it depends on your delivery device but honestly I've not had any problems with my clearomizers (CE3's Kanger T2s and 510 Excaliburs). Not even a little bit. I suspect that most vendors do the thinning for you to make it deliverable in your device. Either that or it really does have a severe impact on some devices that I'm personally not familiar with.

On the plus side for flavor selections - By choosing 100% VG wherever I can - ie with Heathers - and changing flavors during the day, I have found I can tolerate PG in other flavors when that's the only way they come.

As to weaker flavor, it's tough to answer that one as I've not ordered the same juice at 2 different VG/PG ratios, and other times I order extra flavor because I have the 100% VG option. Maybe I'll get a sampler size and see if the flavor changes on a couple. On the other hand perhaps that's why with Heather's I personally taste strong and different flavor notes with succesive puffs - the chocolate, the caramel, the vanilla and mocha coffee flavors instead of "tobacco" - would I call it or many other RY4s "tobacco"? No. Does that matter when vaping Gandalf. Heck no! It's wonderful stuff with individual strong flavor notes instead of a mud. I've compared Gandalf to being provided a fresh ice cream sundae when many other flavors consist of the melted muddy remains in the bottom of the bowl after someone's eaten it.
However, I should add the proviso that "tobacco" in my dictionary is more along the lines of a cigar, or other extracted tobacco like Devil Dog, though in DD's case I don't like that one specifically because of the latakia.

Hope that's of some help. Keep us updated! PS the superior intelligence durakitty told me to say Hello and her wish is my command. :)

OK, I'm down to licking the wick on this tank of Huntsman so I'm ready to impart my worthless opinion on it. This is NOT Gandalf! It is similar in that it is the same mellow, smooth, and utterly inoffensive flavor, but make no mistake, it IS a different flavor. Whereas Gandalf has that choco base and mysterious overtones, I find very little complexity to Huntsman. It is a straigtforward tobacco flavor with not an overabundance of flavor. Grassy, woodsy, earthy...whatever term you want to use. Sweetness level is low but enough to provide the mellowness/smoothness that is seemingly a trademark of HHV's. This liquid reminds me very much of a liquid I have been vaping lately called LIQUA Traditional...which has a slightly more celery flavor but definitely in that grassy/woodsy/earthy category. Some like to think of this category as being most closely associated with analog cigarettes. Not sure I've ever found that true category but would agree that it is most similar. Decent TH, decent vapor, etc. Do I like it more than Gandalf? No. Would I reorder it? Yes. I think I can use this as a base for some of my JC blending as the LIQUA Traditional has been serving well for this purpose. Anything that is fairly uncomplex is a good candidate for blending. Huntsman fits this bill. But it is still a good vape by itself. I recommend it.

The gandalf has a strong Chocolatemofertone but I don't taste the mysterious undertones others talk about. Maybe my tastebuds need maturing but I retried it after seeping and while the chocolate is less strong it is still the overwhelming flavor. I find it goes well for a morning blend with coffee but I will continue searching for an all day lend
