Cannot lose my sense of humor on this wild and woolly ride of life. I may be going down but I have a big grin doing it.

Spent the last hour reloading Ubuntu 13.04 on my laptop. I tweak things a lot and it was time to redo.

We're all going down 73. Quit the negative talk. You don't know what is in store for you yet. It's none of our decisions.

Keep your chin up. :)

Which one did you end up buying, General?

I got that Logitech M525 they had on sale. $25, normally $40. It works great Dust. Very responsive, smooth, and easy on the hand. They call it some kind of optical blah, blah, blah but the sale page called it RF. It's not laser because I think those have the light on the bottom right? It works.

Thanks for the help Dust. I'm happy!

Thanks RJ, ya know I heard a joke today that kind of sums up my attitude towards life... it's kind of long, but what else have I got to do at 3 AM in the doghouse?

I've recently realized that the only jokes (except for some just for little kids) that I know are all dirty:facepalm::p! I'm notoriously pretty lame at remembering the punchlines, too, but I just like to blame my chronic sleep-debt for such memory troubles;). If you all think of some good ones that you know (just whenever they happen to pop into your heads down the line), I'd love to hear them. And I missed why you're in the doghouse with the missus, Chak? Too much vaping stuff come all at once for her, perhaps:ohmy:? Quite an enviable haul you've got there, just to add to the chorus of ooh's and aah's! Speaking of adding to the chorus, you're not going anywhere, 73, so I'm chalking the comment up to more of your characteristic joshing around, okay? Your attitude seems pretty stellar, in fact; I'll bet your RW support system is top-notch, paired, of course, with your faith...and, well, all of us, obviously;)! I'll bet also you might be able to hook me up (at some point whenever) with a good joke that's not too filthy! Hope all of your Fridays are rolling along smoothly:).

Took serendipity that Bridget sent me to work tonight. Loving it. Initially I thought it might have too much of a coffee taste for my liking but half an eVod later and I don't taste the coffee anymore. Now it is just deliciousness :).

That's still my second favorite HHV juice, Chimps (the first, I know, is a great mystery to everyone:p). Great that you're loving it, too! With the kids/schedule, you sure deserve a fantastic Friday vape:vapor:!

Thankfully I am off after tonight until Monday night. Looks like this will be an indoor weekend with lots of rain on the way. I will have my HHV order tomorrow so I can get it steeping. I forgot to order some huntsman with this order, going to grab it next order (how many bottles would I have to order to deplete the extract stash I wonder :p).

GEEK ALERT!!!

Got a question for the computer geeks...

Windows 8 will not accept Office 2000. It kicks it out with an OBDC error (whatever in the hell that is). I read up and found Windows 8 will not accept Office 2000 (Windows 7 did). So I will not get away with being a cheapass. Anyhow, if I go out and purchase Office 2013, does anyone know if I will be able to successfully convert my 2000 files to 2013?

Note: That Office2000 package cost $500 back then. My company paid for it...I didn't. :D

You will be able to convert them all. Some spreadsheets and document formatting may get a little wonky and need adjusting, but it shouldn't give you much trouble. As a cheapass myself, I would recommend downloading OpenOffice. Free and has all the things I need and works well with all my old office docs and spreadsheets.

OpenOffice was going to be something I gave serious consideration too. However, I just discovered that Windows 8, in fact, took my Office 2000. It said it didn't, but when I went to my Apps page, there they were. Already copied some Excel and Word files over and played around with them. Hark!

Now, how to check my email? I have Windows Live (I think it came with my Windows 7 package on my desktop). I see no such animal on this laptop.

Thanks Chimps

You can get live mail from MS website for free. Also, there is a mail app preinstalled on the start page. I use it more often then live mail on my laptop.
