That sounds like a winner ! Richmond is about 5 hours, six if I stop top to get Dale and seven if Dale and I throw Bronze and his rectangle in the back of the pickup truck. (Don't worry, General, it's an eight-foot bed)

A centaur was here!

Holy cow! We haven't seen you around here in.....well..Forever! How are you doing? Where ya been? Stick around a little longer next time!

Becky, nope, I haven't had a pair of those bell bottoms for many, many years now. When I move from place to place, I really get rid of things that I haven't used in a year or more. ;)

BB!! So good to see you dancing girl!

And you, my liege! You have much work this weekend, or do you get to have some fun? Don't you have a friend's birthday party to enliven tonight?

I've got a pair that I love, but they don't help me channel Janis or any bell-bottomed rock goddess like you can even one bit, which is quite disappointing:p. No comment on getting rid of nearly as much as I should (though I'm no scary hoarder, thank goodness), but I'm keeping my bells 'til they're just threads...even if a couple friends have called me cheesy for it:2cool:!

OK guys...here is where things are with my dad. He has large cell lung cancer that has spread to the spine/back. The reason he went into the hospital last week was extreme pain in the neck/back. Well he did come home today...and next week we will be working with a radiation treatment (one time for now) that should help reduce the pain. He is now on oxygen 24/7 which has it's challenges..but my sister and I got him set up pretty well at home...he can get from his chair which will be his home base for awhile to his bathroom on his own. They took his ecig away in the hospital when they put him on oxygen due to safety hazard..but we spoke with the rep we are getting the oxygen at home from...explained what he uses (kgo/pre filled carto) and his comment was not an issue..not really any more of a risk than a cell phone, etc. A lot of people wouldn't understand this issue..but the rep was actually very supportive and understood it calms his nerves..and lets face it...if he's not going to blow up the house what the heck matters if it makes him feel better. There was no specific discussion today on the 'stage' or treatment of the lung cancer..but we all pretty much realize where it's at and that my dad will probably not opt for chemo..but just want to enjoy the time he does have. Goal 1 - pain reduction/management and that's where we are focused now...he is home, happy and can't ask for much more than that. And my little Nellie really did help me this week:)

There is much merit to knowing where you stand. Anxiety is not a good place to be.

Good luck with Dad and you IA.

Yeah Pappy you'd better start working out as well...seriously I find so much strength from my friends here. We are all just a group of pretty normal people..with a pretty normal (ok except for a couple) life that are here for each other. Through the years (I hope) we will laugh and cry..but we'll do it together. Oh yeah...I'm suppose to be talking about the juices:) just kidding this thread was beyond that from the day it started....

Awww! Does Clay send the goods in a signature bag like that? Or is it separate? If it comes that way ...that's very cool, and nice of him to do.

Yes, every order over a certain amount gets a free sample packed all snug inside the neat burlap bag. Very cool idea. In the picture the 3 small sample bottles were in the bag. I believe if you buy the sample pack it also comes in the bag.

Look out AiV! ;)

Thanks Bronze...and you'd better start working out... from the day I joined this group you have always been a 'strength' for me and I've got a feeling your shoulders are going to get a work out...just warning you...

I didn't get to see my parents grow old. They died before they got too old (60 & 67) and I was orphaned by age 42. But I saw them sick for an extended time and it wasn't pretty. And I saw my grandparents get old (89 & 95) and it's hell to watch. As you say, you just pray they aren't in pain. You can't do anything else. The worst part is trying to figure out if you should hang on to hope that they'll get better (and put them through all the poking, prodding, meds, treatments, hospitals, etc) or just keep them as comfortable as you can and let God take them on his time table. Hard to know when to let go. Hard to not second guess yourself. Just love him IA. Your Daddy just wants his little girl. That's all he wants.

Hop on if you want IA. We'll all be here. The whole Army.

Carbon Thief at Naturally-Extracted-Tobaccos has come up with a Black Cherry that is exceptional. Comparable, but not quite as good as Legend, and that was without steeping. I have six others steeping. CT will answer emails, if you have any questions.

Glad to hear you like the Cherry Cavendish Papaw, means a lot coming from you. I know you love that flavor. This is my second order from CT, can't wait to try the new flavors - he did add a sample of the Cherry with this order. Oh, was yours heat or cold extract? The one he sent me is a cold extract. I'll have to order another bottle that is Heat extracted so I can compare the two.

When I got mine all he had was cold but said the heat was coming soon
