So I looked up the pain pills doc gave me.

Do not stop taking tramadol without talking to your doctor. Your doctor will probably decrease your dose gradually. If you suddenly stop taking tramadol you may experience withdrawal symptoms such as nervousness; panic; sweating; difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep; runny nose, sneezing, or cough; numbness, pain, burning, or tingling in your hands or feet; hair standing on end; chills; nausea; uncontrollable shaking of a part of your body; ........; or rarely, hallucinations (seeing things or hearing voices that do not exist).

Yummpin' yimmeny!

I was going through that and I thought I was nic sick.

But I was, sometimes still am, on Tramadol for degenerative joint disease. It makes
me sleepy, so I don't know if I want to take it anymore - at least not at work ...
which, by the way, is how I earned the degenerative joint disease.

Tramadol is strange stuff, morphine does not mess me up like this, I would rather take hydrocodone, at least I could still feel normal.
Good thing work is slow and I found some simple stuff to work on.

I know that I did this to my knees, I have been way to hard on them for the last 55 years.

Got it. That was Z who started that thread thing (I think). Anyhow, I posted this a few days ago and I'll post it again in the event anyone missed it. As you know, most all of these gizmos are made in China. The fact of the matter is, their quality control is somewhere between crap and non-existent. I have yet to receive a gizmo that had clean threads. They all suck. And all it does is gradually wreck the threads on your mod. As one who has made a career in machining, metal fab, and manufacturing I am appalled that this country cannot compete with these total amateurs. Don't get me started. Anyhow, if you were wise (which I finally became), you would clean those threads as soon as you take them out of the package. All you need is a cheapy die (7mm x 0.5mm). It's easy to use and in the vast majority of cases you do not need a wrench or die holder tool. You can simply hand turn them onto the threads. Just start them slowly and be sure you are square to the device. And yes, for those of you who think you are mechanical idiots, even you can do this. It makes sub-standard threads into perfect threads. Here's a link for a 7mm x 0.5mm die. It's possible you can find one at Lowes and/or Home Depot too but not sure if they carry metric dies.

Amazon.com: 7mm x .5 Carbon Steel Hex Rethreading Die: Home Improvement

I will have to get one, I looked last night and do not have one that small.
It looks like they are using a forming die and not a cutting die and they are not setup to use the forming dies.
The nova looks a lot better then the splitfire does.

Sunny I think if your carefull and do not over tighten them you should be OK.

I have both a standard and metric die set. I go to the metric set and there's I don't know how many dies in there. 20 - 25 maybe. They all have their own slots they go in. There was one missing. Guess which one it was? :)

I have a few sets and a lot that I have collected over the years and could not find one.

I will liven it up a little then. Was reminiscing about a show last spring. Here are a couple of vids. Great Gig in the Sky (with Black Strat #2). Taken in HD during a technical rehearsal. We did the entire Dark Side of the Moon for this show. Wish you could see our graphics.

Ugh! I can't view anything on this phone app. I'll check it out next time I'm on the "real" computer.

Thanks Bronze, since you asked, here is one involving more of your fellow threadster in it :) (This is Black Strat #1) Also note our fantastic keyboard player and sax player. Can never have too much sax. This one was taken from a distance away in the balcony with a standard camcorder. Actual show video doesn't work well because we had a gigawatt of subwoofer going during the show which plays havoc with camcorder sound!

I'll see if I can post while I'm watching it. Very nice production. One of the greatest TV concerts I have seen is David Gilmour in Gdansk. Simply an incredible show. Needless to say, he's got to be one of your guitar heroes. Is that two drummers I see? A little Genesis?) No, that's gotta be the keyboards back there.
