Sorry Picc! I hope you have a good weekend atleast!

Oh I absolutely will.. Money problems might be stressful but they don't rule my life. My landlord is a very understanding arshole...
I actually just loaded up a freshly cleaned vvv tank with December 24th Crackberry. The 30ml was basically full and being I'm on a fruity kick why I've been waiting so long to use it is beyond me :)
EA with a kick at 8watts.. No idea what that means but it's good :)

LOL - no cake here. But I DID celebrate the holiday by imitating a three toed sloth most of the day.

Sounds Awesome! For lunch I cooked Brats and Hot dogs on the grill, For Dinner I cooked Pork chops on the grill and we had fresh corn on the cob, Cheese bread rolls, Steamed Green beans, and my wife baked a 4th of July Cake.....The funny part to me is....My wife is british ;)
I wonder if Hula Made any 4th of July cake today?

A few years a go we were living in England and I was DJing, I had a gig at a Pub and it was my first time playing there and to my surprise that put up a sign that sadi "4th of July Party with DJ American J" I didn't go by that name until then and it pretty much stuck!

If it looked good, absolutely! I've seen Blimpie and Subway sandwiches in gas stations so sure. Love Indian food but then I would, being a Brit 'n all. :D

Question of the Day!!?!!

Would you eat Indian Take out food from a Gas Station?

So this morning I got a phone call from the shop I got my truck repaired at this week, He asked if I could swing by this morning because they are missing their flash light and the last place they recalled using it was on my truck. These guys were really nice and their prices were good so I was like yeah I can swing by, It's very close to my work.

So across the street is a gas station, I stopped in to get a drink and noticed a sign that says "Take out Indian food". I went inside and they actually had a nice little setup. They have sectioned off the restaurant side of the business and it appears to even be decorated. I didn't get too good of a look because the kitchen is closed for 4th of July.

So I asked myself would I eat indian food from a gas station, and I couldn't answer that. Hell if it was a Bacon and Egg sandwhich I would nom nom nom all day long. Just for some reason the thought of buying that type of meal from a gas station sounds questionable LOL

So would you try it?

LOL, Really No cake? Comon you gotta make a 4th of July cake! Oh and My 6 year old Son asked My wife if she was going to make a 5th of July cake. She asked him what was special about the 5th of July to warrant her making another cake, when we would still have some of this left over. He said it's cake, if you make another cake it will make the 5th of July special to me. LOL

Crap! Is it Saturday morning or still Friday night? It's 2AM and I haven't been to sleep yet. Not even about to attempt a 10 page catch up game now.

Hello, Army!!! Happy weekend to you all. :2cool:

Good morning Army,

This is one of those moments where I think to myself "Why didn't I take today off?" Well at least it's Friday!

I have a lot of stuff to get done at work today so I am hoping for a productive and quick day!!!!!!!!

Thinking the same thing.
I will end up walking out by noon, I can almost guarantee:)

I said that as well, and can vouch for an (unproductive) early start on the weekend after a long lunch. ;)

I have already said the same. Nevertheless I need to assemble a proposal for VCU that I gotta present on Monday, and my worthless associate had to be dragged into the office to review it. He should have done this before the holiday, and he could have been off today.

He is already on thin ice with me. It would be better for him if this goes well on Monday morning.

That said, happy Friday. You can all be grateful you do not work for me! I know Picc would not tolerate it.

I accept your challenge. If I had a somewhat meaningful job I'd work night and day to accomplish something.
Before I met my girlfriend I worked 15 hour days just because. If I had coworkers and/or a boss who showed as much dedication as I used to I'd never complain.
These are the things I'm looking for in Texas. At the same time I'll work 3 jobs once I'm there to make a buck....

I concur with Mr. Picc. Had I some challenging, intellectual stimuli, things would have been different. (Not implying your proposal isn't, Edd. Strictly referring to the curriculum my school chose to use.) :)

All morning old man naps are nice but now I won't sleep tonight
Finally DID NOT rain today, Mamaw and I made it out to the garden. Squash rotting on vine for too much water, cucumbers too big (they loose their taste at that size) and beans past ripe. Carrots were easy to pull out though....
As we were out there grunting about our backs and groaning about our knees I said, "I think I need to find another hobby."
"Never happen." Mamaw replied.
"You don't want to give this up ?" I asked.
"Not really." she answered. I guess we both like fresh food to much.

RIght now to get the fresh stuff I have to go to the farmers market, but once we get a house I will have some sort of garden, guaranteed!

Good Morning Army. I don't take expensive Vacation Ventures, four years on a US Navy Ammo Ship and over two million miles in a Big Rig are travel enough for me. That's why it's no big deal for me to take a paid vacation day today, and make this a four-day Holiday :) I do sympathize with those who are working though, Lumber Haulers always work Memorial Day and Good Friday, and sometimes Easter. The Fourth of July is our first break of the year.
Anyways, Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

That's what my parents say all the time. They were in the Navy dragging us around with them all over the world for 22 years. We are now all home bodies. None of us like to travel much after all that traveling we've already done.

Predicted I'd be home by noon when in fact I was home by 1130am :) <--- that smile is false as I am not making enough money to live.
Rent is due and I don't have it. :( My girlfriend isn't gonna be happy...
Sad time are ahead for sure

I sold blood plasma a couple of years ago to get through a rough financial patch...until my protein got low and I was weak and tired all the time and they wouldn't take it from me any more until my protein got higher. You may want to look into it for extra dough...

LOL - no cake here. But I DID celebrate the holiday by imitating a three toed sloth most of the day.

I'm practicing being a better sloth than I already am today myself...I'm still in my PJs and just doing chores and whatnot today on my vacation day. I just made another coil...I'm getting better and better at it!

RIght now to get the fresh stuff I have to go to the farmers market, but once we get a house I will have some sort of garden, guaranteed!

I would love a garden. My neighbor had one until they realized my dear deceased cat used it as a litter box.

I was wondering where Chak has been! And where is Pappy??? Bronze???

Well I am home. I closed the office down early (only 20 minutes, but it gave them a jump on rush hour).

Since the President, both VPs, and Director of Operations, and the wife of one of the VPs, were all not there, I was at the pointy end of the ship. Now that is a situation that thankfully only happens once every few years. So there was much rejoicing in the name of my popular, yet short, reign.

And my young associate was permitted to leave even prior to that. I pulled him into my office for a brief review of what my thoughts are about him (mostly good), and bid him good afternoon at four minutes to 3:00. He literally sat there catching flies for about three or four seconds before he left. He was calling his girlfriend when he was leaving excitedly, and his earpiece volume was much to high and she said, "That :censored: let you leave this early?"

I consider this exact question asked to the young man to be a compliment of great magnitude.

Now, for the Dragon's Fire! It goes great with Crown Black.

Guess you could call me a Navy brat too, however, my dad wasn't in long enough to do any travelling.

I sold blood plasma a couple of years ago to get through a rough financial patch...until my protein got low and I was weak and tired all the time and they wouldn't take it from me any more until my protein got higher. You may want to look into it for extra dough...

Then after high school I enlisted and did 4 years - ended up in LA, Cali. Slept under an overpass and sold plasma till some friends at Denny's, Van Nuys brought me into their apartment and I got a job at that same Denny's we hung out at. In fact it was the same Denny's I met my wife at. The rest is history... :D

Hi Army. I've been busier than a one-legged man in an ...-kicking contest. Still am. Just want to drop in and say hello and hope y'all are enjoying your holiday weekend.

Say Fran, you say you're new to the area. I'm assuming you heard what C.A.R.Y. stands for by now????

I know that N.A.V.Y. stands for Never Again Volunteer Yourself Again, but you got me on C.A.R.Y., Bronze?

Figured he'd have a blast up there with you. Such a cool dog! Got me wanting one now... :D

I like your stories Chak. You have a colorful and interesting past. You are a hoot! ;) I met some homeless guys like you at the plasma center, along with all walks of life to the college students to the Moms and Dads to the business suit types to the couples needing extra money. It was a very interesting and eye opening experience for me and I enjoyed talking to those folks and watching movies as they pumped plasma. My son had a Christmas that year without me going into debt...that's all that matters to me. :) Gotta do whatcha gotta do ya know? I quit smoking for 7.5 months during that time.......my longest quit until vaping.
