Good evening everyone...have I told you 100 times or more how wonderful my grandchildren are? It's been a weekend of just hiding out with the family and let me tell you those little ones have helped us all in our healing process. Everyone finally actually got a good night's sleep last night and I took a three hour nap today. I think after getting some rest I'll be ready to face the world tomorrow. I have almost depleted my 18mg Huntsman..better get some more. I still need to try my Caramel Cap..maybe I'll get a fresh EVOD loaded to try in the morning. It's cooled off here as well, I love fall just don't like what follows

My year round 5/8's is killing me after 25 years of it (which is really longer than 8 hours a day since I wake up at 6 am and get home at 5:30 pm). I think about retirement every.single.day. Working for the man is getting old. I shouldn't feel so bad...my brother is currently working 7/12's with an extremely long daily drive.That is 7 days a week for 12 hours a day.
And I thought my 12/14hrs. 5 days a week was bad.

I really enjoy the youth in my son...he's a lot of fun. We laugh a lot. I'm so glad you are getting some rest and spending some time with the kids. Their energy and smiles are infectious.

I do 3/12's.... Pretty sweet actually . Even with the weekends and holidays. I'm home more than I'm at work.

4/8's here, but doing 2 5hr Fridays a month until Spring. Have been helping a friend move all afternoon, after doing regular Sunday stuff (laundry, cleaning, run) here. I'm worn out! She's moving from a 2000 sq ft home to a 5000 sq ft. It's monstrous. Way more cleaning than I'd ever want to do. But it's beautiful and will be great for them, as they love to entertain.

I'm not sure I could handle 12 hours straight with those people! 8-o There has been talk of 4/10's and that seems doable. I could handle that. Maybe. 
Coils are made and tanks are filled and now I'm having a beer waiting on one more load to finish and put one more in then a shower...and I'm calling my day done. Heck...I may get to bed early tonight!

No doubt! Moving is tough. I mentioned my coworker building a home and they are the builders doing any work themselves that they can...it's over...get this...10,000 sq ft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Up at 6 AM? If I'm not out of the house before 6 it's an hour or more stuck in traffic, otherwise, it takes me 30 minutes to get to school! funny thing is, we're only clocked in from 8 - 5 PM. So, I usually take an hour nap in the car after I get to school.

I love it when the kids are here, especially when my SIL brings her daughter out too. There's always something to do. And guess who's the designated driver is?

I know! I was like WTH? Been building it for over 8 years! Complete with a huge storm room that will withstand an F5 tornado. I mean wow.

I have to wait on my son to get on the bus at 7:05...but luckily traffic is not too bad here unless there is a wreck. I changed my hours this summer to earlier but had to change them back because of the bus dealio. I'm telling you...my world will change when he starts driving. It will be a huge milestone for me.
Iowa.. I'm glad you got some rest and spent time with your grand kids. I'm sure it helped.
