Yeah, that would be great news, however, nope. What did happen was this. When I first ordered the Provari (Oct. 6) I couldn't use my Thai address, because it wasn't on their list, so I typed in my address in the States thinking I'd have it delivered to my daughter. Ao couple days later I get a letter from ProVape saying they needed more information on my debit card account, i.e. name of the bank & phone #, first 6 digits on the card, blah, blah… Sent that back to them and they in turn said they wouldn't accept the card - but they would accept a money order or Western Union. At this point, $$ from my account was put on pre-authenication hold for the amount of the order and was showing as a withdraw from my account.
I told them I might try WU, but to myself, I didn't want to use either money order or WU as I had problems using them before in Thailand. (Oct. 11) (They don't like sending their money overseas for some reason.) I also asked if the funds had been returned to my account. They said yes and also agreed to ship directly to me in Bangkok, but would have to adjust the shipping.
Anyway, I finally got a friend of mine to use his American credit card to finalise the order, shipping address to me and billing address was his home address in US. Provape sent notice that it was shipped on Oct. 18, but I still hadn't received a refund! More emails to Provape, yes it was returned. Last week I called the head office and told them the story - they asked a few questions and said they'd investigate and get back to me within seven work days. Now, I'm starting to sweat it out! It's over 3 weeks now and nothing showing in the bank!
I'm thinking, "DAYUM!!! I paid twice for that fricking mod AND battery charger!!!"
The rep from ProVape had been real nice dealing with in all our emails back and forth; she said she'd keep the help ticket open till we found out what was going on and gave advice on what to send the bank as documentation etc.
Yesterday was day seven and still nothing… last night I spent most of the evening making copies and PDFs of our emails and invoices that they sent me getting it ready to send to the bank. Then I remembered talking with a salesman a bit back who said it took only a couple days for returns if it's a credit card, but for debit cards it could be 15 days. Checking the calendar yesterday was the 15th day since the order was finalized. I figured I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and wait another day or two.
This afternoon I stopped at the mall to get my hair cut and as I'm walking to the salon, the cell phone rings - it's the bank and the lady says the funds have been returned. I spun round walked back to the car and got my bankbook, went to the bank branch at the mall and update it. Sure enough there it was! I tell ya, it was like a crap load of bricks was lifted of my shoulders.
Great time for a beer!
(Sorry this took so long, now I haven't time to catch up on all the pages that have sprung up. maybe I'll catch up tomorrow.)
Good Night Army! Have a safe and blessed day.
