I've been thinking about joining the world of bottom feeders and have been keeping an eye on this thread for a week or 2..
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...order-3-7v-5v-vv-box-mods-bottom-feeders.html
It seems like a 50/50 shot that I'd like it and honestly with the amount of PV's on order it might get lost in the mix.. What do you like about it so much? What are the benifits ? Seems messy..

The VMOD is not messy at all. 900 mah battery, the absolute purest flavor of any of my devices. No leaks. No dry hits. Can take 15 vapes in a row with no recovery time (other than a squonk every few drags). Gargantuan vapor production with the 1.8 ohm. Fits nicely in the pocket. Purely mechanical. There really is no downside to these things!

I did have one failure of the tank after two months, a hair-line crack in it. Replacement tanks are $2.99 for two of them if I recall. The kit comes with two of them.

By far the VMOD is my best device!

Me too. It's kinda nice to have some class in my life. But on the other hand, you have to admit it would be kinda nice if they let loose once in awhile like the shower thing. Come on Strat..admit it... :)

You got me, Bronze. We did have the ...... in the shower discussion a couple weeks back. I am trying to get her to let loose and live a little on the wild side but she completely resists the idea. She is wild and crazy in a lot of other areas so I am starting to think this is an evolved instinct thing.

I feel so lost lol I read all of the talk about carto's....I use stardust on a twist, never used anything else...am I missing out on something? I know I have to avoid certain flavors because of cracking...I was thinking of checking into this option but would have no clue where to begin.

Wanda, next to my VMOD, the next best thing in flavor and vapor production is the Smoktech DCT. I am a fan!

I haven't used my Novas in a while. Too much fooling around, muted flave, occasional burnt taste. DCTs do me right but they're not great for travel and I don't want to commit a full tank a lot of the time. Good flavor and vapor, though. The Kanger T3 has beat the Novas in my quest for portability and consistency. I have three and they're ready to go. The heads are easy to clean with a vodka soak. No dry burn necessary. Straight up Smok LR cartos are great. Good vapor, portable, easy to fill and top off. Cheap to replace, and I only have to commit to a small amount if I so desire. So its T3s and blank LR cartos for me.
5 T3s and 10 heads on the way most likely by the end of the week.. If I like em on first shot I'm gonna jump in another coop and double my order... I wanted t3s with LR heads but they just don't have em right now.. I soak everything in vodka regardless.. Since I quit drinking when I quit smoking(5months this weekend) I have about 3 bottles for ecig use only..

At work I need durable, so I use a REOSmini with LR 1.5 atty. Gotta be careful though, a dry hit is not only brutal it can fry an atty. At home I'm really liking these eGo Twists with T3 clearos. Easy to fill, use and rewick, and the Twist lets me tune in the flavor. :2c:
Again I'm tempted by bottom feeding, but Not sure it's for me.. I've never been a dripper and it's the same thing to me other then squeezing.. Something to think about... I'm gonna have to pick up a spinner or something for my t3s..

ANything fitting in a pocket is a win win.. No leaks in pocket? gonna have to bookmark the vmod and mull it over!

With the talk of Novas, DCT's, etc. I did recently discover a downside of carto tanks. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced it.

On my California trip, I leave Idaho at 4500 foot elevation, drive across Nevada at 5000-6000 foot elevation, drive over Donners pass, up to 7700 foot elevation and then drop down to sea level in California.

I noticed all of my carto tanks leaked. My Novas/Stardust did not, or only a little smidge. I realized that the rapid pressure change when going up in elevation causes a differential pressure. The pressure inside the carto tank is equivalent to 4500 feet and when going up to higher elevation, the pressure outside the tank is higher than inside the tank, forcing the liquid into the carto and then leaking out once saturated. It happened going from Idaho to the peak of Donner Summit and then back from sea level to the top of Donner pass.

The Novas/Stardusts leaked a little bit but it appears the pressure equalizes much quicker due to design. I also noticed the DCTs that I was actively vaping did not leak, as I provided a pressure adjustment by vaporizing liquid in the carto and drawing liquid in reducing the internal tank pressure.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Nice order.
Now has anyone explained how to steep the tobacco flavors yet?
If you do not really like how the taste when you get them you will need to take the cap and nipple off and let them sit for 2 days.
This will allow the alcohol that is used in extracting the tobacco flavors from the tobacco to evaporate.
Then put the caps and nipples back on and shake the bottles every so often, most of us let them steep for a week or 2 shaking the bottles a couple times a day.
Just keep trying them as the flavors will change over time.

Thanks Z for that information, will do. I do get impatient when it come to e juice, steeping for a few days sound good.

I liked the shower post too Pap. I think we should conduct a vote. Should the men become like the women, or should the women become like the men? I know what my vote would be. :D

Me too!!! Except . . . I don't want my wife ...... in the shower. Hmmm, tough choice now that I think about it. :)

Ah...you must mean this....

HOW TO SHOWER LIKE A WOMAN

take off clothes and place them sectioned in a laundry basket according to colour.
walk to bathroom wearing dressing gown
if you see husband along the way cover up any exposed areas
look at your physique in the mirror, make mental note to do more leg lifts in the morning
get in the shower
use face cloth, arm cloth, leg cloth, long loofah and pumice stone
wash your hair once with sage and cucumber shampoo with 43 added vitamins
condition your hair with grapefruit and mint-enhanced conditioner
wash your face with crushed apricot facial scrub for ten minutes until red
wash the rest of your body with gingernut and jaffa cake body wash
shave armpits and legs
turn off shower
sponge off all wet surfaces in the shower
spray mould spots with tile cleaner
dry with towel the size of a small country
wrap hair in super absorbent towel
return to bedroom wearing long dressing gown and towel on head
if you see husband along the way cover up any exposed areas
spend 40 minutes drying hair with hand held jet engine

HOW TO SHOWER LIKE A MAN

take clothes off while sitting on the edge of the bed and leave them in a pile
walk naked to the bathroom
if you see wife along the way, shake your manhood and make a "woo-hoo" sound
admire your physique in the mirror and the size of your manhood. Scratch backside
get in shower
wash your face
wash your armpits
blow your nose in your hands and let the water rinse them off
spend majority of time washing privates and surrounding area
wash your hair with stuff from the bottle nearest to hand
make a shampoo mohawk
pee like a racehorse
rinse and get out of the shower
fail to notice water on the floor because the curtain was hanging out of the bath
admire size of manhood in mirror again
leave shower curtain open, wet mat on floor, light and fan on
return to bedroom with towel around waist
if you pass wife, pull off towel and make a "woo-hoo" sound
throw wet towel on bed
run fingers through hair twice to dry it
THE END

April, this was Hula's shower post. Priceless.

Where can I find it? I will check it out....I want something that allows me to use those avoided flavors like cinnamon

The cinammon in Cinful Pear and Cinful Apple do not hurt my Nova tanks. I can't say about any other vendors cinammon juices since I have never tried others.

Sounds great! I was looking at the VMOD XL, is that a newer model? I notice they mention you can use other cartos with it because it has a special gizmo for it. Know anything about the XL?

Bappo has one. I prefer the 2.0 because it is much smaller. I think Bappo mentioned he prefered the 2.0 as well, but you would have to ask him.
