Just a quick hello..have to attend to bills tonight.
Robin hope your mouth is feeling better...I hate dental work.
Z I do understand surgery sucks, but once through recovery you'll be so glad you did it and no more pain.
Everyone have a great evening..

Thanks! It will get there, probably about the time for the next visit

That can happen if you vape like you're smoking like a cigarette instead of a pipe-type experience. Everyone has their own technique of course. When you inhale, take 1 or 2 or 3 slow inhales, hold in mouth for flavor, exhale through nose or mouth. Tilt your PV and roll it round so the juice is coating the wicks at all times. Another possibility is that the viscosity of liquid may be making the absorption of liquid to wick slower. What is your VG to PG ratio? Also - especially the CE4s have a little silicon "hat" on the wick part of the atty. You may need to cut very small V shapes into it as the silicone hat can block the liquid from getting in. Some suggest removing the hat altogether but that can make the clearos leaky. It's worth checking that out before chucking it out I guess.... Just some thoughts of mine and if none apply, apologies....
Gummy,

I will preface this with I have problems with most wick devices. I have 2 fake vivi novas, had a few stardust with those little wicks, and 2 of the real stardust (I think they are Ce4's but I really don't pay that much attention). I also have several of the mop heads.

I clearly must be doing something wrong, because almost all of them, I get that burnt taste quickly. The mop heads have not solved that problem. They are equally problematic for me. I have tried numerous adjustments, cleaned, soaked, changed the heads, even the new ones, after around the 15th time I use it (and I mean inhale, not 15th fill). Gross disgusting burnt taste.

Like I said, this seems to be "my" problem with ineptness, not the product. They are very easy to clean and fill.

I have one SplitFire that is my absolute favorite. I have not in over a week gotten that nasty taste. It is the second nicest thing that hits my lips ;)

I know others here have better luck with them, so my guess is that you will be happy with them.

On another note.. can't wait to hear how you like your order!

Thanks sunny.
I did like the splitfire but be really careful when you screw them on, the theards really are not cut right unless they fixed that.
I looked at all 3 that I have using a magnifying glass and they look like crap.

I'll grab a magnifying glass to see what you are talking about because mine screws in very smoothly. Tell me what I'm looking for

Thanks Hula. Right now I'm beyond frustrated with them. I won't toss yet.

OK so I need a cig and a really strong drink right now.
My knee is shot big time and doc said I probably need a new one.
I kind of thought that it would turn out to be this bad with the way it feels and how long it's been a problem.
Shoot my left knee is not much better then the right one but at least the left one is not giving out on me.

So I go to the surgeon on Dec 17 to see what he has to say but it's not looking good right now.
I really do not want to go threw this but I may not have a choice.

Still have to go to work here in a bit, just waiting on the prescription to get filled.

Man stop all that noise. You need a drink and a vape. A cig would just make you think "why the hell did I just so that"
Be strong. You'll get thru it. My pops just had his knee done and he's already back to work. He had it done a month ago. Soooo no real worries. Just think u get a few day to lay around and be pampered as well. You can do it. The last smoke I had I was kicking myself for smoking it when I had all this vape gear around. Hang in there we are rooting for you. ;)

What about you Chak? You ever do one before? Last time we waited till about three before. Robin ran for cover. She's still in her fox hole.
No I've never done one but, I was on the road and wouldn't have been able to concentrate on getting the post in at the right time. Geez, look, it's already up to 16029!!!!

Edit: Thanks for the offer though. Anyways, Z_Ghost needed something to cheer him up. Get yer shades on Bronze!

Congrats Z_Ghost

I went back (I usually catch all the posts) and didn't see it. Oh well. Sounds like y'all have it under control.

It's just a few above.

Anyway... I think my threads are fine. I ran a cotton ball over them and nothing snagged. They are perfectly smooth. View attachment 154739

So maybe they fixed them? It's still my favorite.

Got it. That was Z who started that thread thing (I think). Anyhow, I posted this a few days ago and I'll post it again in the event anyone missed it. As you know, most all of these gizmos are made in China. The fact of the matter is, their quality control is somewhere between crap and non-existent. I have yet to receive a gizmo that had clean threads. They all suck. And all it does is gradually wreck the threads on your mod. As one who has made a career in machining, metal fab, and manufacturing I am appalled that this country cannot compete with these total amateurs. Don't get me started. Anyhow, if you were wise (which I finally became), you would clean those threads as soon as you take them out of the package. All you need is a cheapy die (7mm x 0.5mm). It's easy to use and in the vast majority of cases you do not need a wrench or die holder tool. You can simply hand turn them onto the threads. Just start them slowly and be sure you are square to the device. And yes, for those of you who think you are mechanical idiots, even you can do this. It makes sub-standard threads into perfect threads. Here's a link for a 7mm x 0.5mm die. It's possible you can find one at Lowes and/or Home Depot too but not sure if they carry metric dies.

Something else that comes to my mind is what the ohm rating of your atty's are and if you're using them on a Twist. With low resistance atty's (1.5ohm - 2.4ohm) you don't want to crank the voltage too high. Start at the lowest setting and bring it up one increment at a time. When the taste seems right to you stop at that voltage and vape for a good half hour or so. You can then adjust a little higher or lower until you find the "sweet spot" for your particular setup and juice.
