You win Bridget! Diesel it is :D

Figured I could let my gf name him since she really wanted a Husky but got me my Rott anyway. She really wants me to name him Diesel. I've been calling him that for the last few hours and he's starting to respond to it now.

He's starting to understand "sit" already too :) he doesn't understand "No Bite" though lol my hands are tore up

He keeps trying to sleep under my car lol

Now that's the diplomatic thing to do - your life will be happy if you keep the gf/mrs happy.

Diesel, is a cool name too, maybe not as poetic as Splat, but it's a manly name for a manly dog. :D

Hello Army. Been running hard lately, from Sunday afternoon to Thursday lunchtime I saw the house for maybe eight hours Tuesday night (most of which I slept). Then, as I return yesterday I'm told "Not much to do tomorrow." So I told the boss man, "Friday is my birthday, how about I just take a vacation day ?" So I'm 54 today and have the day off ! Walk out to my neglected vegetable garden, the weeds are as tall as the onions, beans and pepper plants. Damn. Receive a dozen or so 'Happy Birthday' on Facebook, and found a post dated 6/16/2012 stating that I would try to quit smoking again, this time using an e-cigarette. Oh, the heady days of Janty eGo ! Mamaw and I went to dinner tonight, nothing special just a local diner-type called the Knife and Fork. On the way I mentioned Sunday I'll be one year without a cigarette "thanks to these", motioning towards my REOSmini. Life is busy, but Life is Good!
Nice pup Slim ! Until he pees in the carpet, chews on your cell-phone, starts digging in the laundry basket for your woman's private apparel (boy, do women get PO'd over THAT) and so on and so forth. They're still lovable though...
Congrats RJ on the newest member of the family. I hope Mom and Baby are both doing fine.
Yes, General, I'm still alive ! I did warn y'all I get busy this time of year.
And, just in case no one told you, I hope you all have had a Safe and Blessed Day, and a Great Weekend :)

*cckkkrxxrrc*
Breaker, breaker 19, The Eagle has landed, repeat, the - Eagle - has - landed. He's safe back in the nest. All is well, over. *cckkkrxxrrc*

Wow, this is a pretty close grouping with all us old farts - yer just 8 1/2 months behind me Paw. Happy B-day and Congrats on one year smoke free!!!

What do they call you Pap? Pappypaw?

I imagine they can call him just about anything they want, just don't call him late for dinner!!!

Good Morning Army. Looks like a fine day for yard work in the Piedmont of the Carolinas. I hope Dale and Bronze made it through Thursday night's storms all right, I live just south of where those storms crossed. missed me by about 6 miles.
Anyways, it's Saturday ! Have a Safe and Blessed Day Today :)

Results of Tornado Summer Pride, he's pretty proud. Somehow I thought this was still just baby fat until last night!

Good morning, Army:)!

Sure, I'm a day late, but I say you celebrate both your birthday and your ONE YEAR smoke free ALL weekend:toast:!!
Very cool that your athleticism has rubbed off on your boy, Bridget:2cool:!
Great that you're feeling better, Frantic!
Like Bronze said, Robin, please don't think I'm comparing the two, but I'm just LOVING the new baby and new pup pics in this thread!! Counting down to Iowa Gal's new grandbaby and Dusty's Bella;)!
Dominic and Vincenzo are gonna be the best of friends, and Diesel understanding "sit" this early is so impressive, Slim;):.
Kicking myself for missing a song reference, but I'd never heard any song about roller skating in a buffalo herd, 73:laugh:!
What a great first HHV order, Fox! I know you'll enjoy, and welcome:).
Sure hope the weekend's weather's not too rough for you dale, or anyone else in the Army!

Spectacular Saturday vapes to all:vapor:!

Good morning Army!! Got about another 2 hours of sleep last night, it's soooooo hard to leave him in his crate while he's crying! Been setting my alarm for every 3 hrs to take him outside. Work next week is gonna be miserable lol

We gave all our dogs & cats pretty much full access to the house. The only exception was sleeping on the beds and furniture - the beds mainly because of allergies we all shared. However, they all had to be well trained and that was our duty as kids/owners of them. Dad's orders!!!

He's going to get full access to the house as soon as he's potty trained. I can't wait until I don't have to use that crate anymore.

No way is he going to be allowed on the bed either, he's gonna be too damn big lol

Got a little vapemail today :D

An AGA-T2, an RSST, a glass tubes for my elegance and Bella tanks and 100ml of Bobas (I'm going to give it another try, this time with an extra flavor shot. Last time I could barely taste it) even if its good I know it won't compare to my steeped Legend :)

Diesel hopes everyone is having a great weekend

Slim a couple of things to try...if you can get your hands on an old wind up clock and put next to his kennel or leave a radio on through the night (seems to soothe them) Also..if won't hurt him to cry a little and if you let him out every time he's going to keep it up:laugh: When my little girl first came home I moved the kennel to the other side of the house to keep myself from taking her out. Like you..I was getting up every three hours for a potty break.

Thanks Iowa, I actually meant to pick up an old style alarm clock yesterday. Ill def get one today.

I haven't taken him out of his crate when he cries but last night I did bring my pillow out to the living room and slept in front of him. It calmed him down quite a bit. I probably shouldn't have done that but I couldn't help myself lol

Another fantastic pic, Slim!! Plus, I love getting another glimpse of your great ink! Great tips about soothing sound in the crate from Iowa Gal. We got a special dog stuffed animal that mimicked the sound of a heart beat (what soothes them when they're with their litter). Really helped with two of our dogs; the third decided it had to be destroyed! You're getting pup prep for little ones to come with the sleep bit! Chak, google is good to me:); glad you had a lovely Saturday!

I don't blame you and that is better than taking him out. My little girl is about 2 1/2 now...she has full run of the house but still goes to the kennel at bedtime. She loves her kennel and I will find her napping there throughout the day..especially if we have a lot of people around and she just wants her own space. Now she's a smaller dog so the kennel is like an apartment for her..used a much smaller kennel when potty training.
