If it doesn't say joyetech then it isn't - but there are a lot of Egos that aren't joyetech Egos. I can see a charger in the box - appears to be a usb charger.
Is this the one you ordered: EGO-C 900mah
It isn't advertised as joyetech. It also says it includes a usb charging cable - which you appear to have.
They also sell a Joyetech Ego kit on their site that costs a bit more.

Yes, thats the one. Maybe I am paranoid but I dont want to be shafted by getting a used one.
I see that it does not advertise the 240v charger, so that seems sound.
Do you think the one I bought is a good model, or should I return it for a real joytech system??????

Hi Steve. You could try "thermometer" shaking the juice in the cartridges down to the end where the cartridge connector is. Sometimes during storage the juice settles unevenly in the cartridge. As for turning the batt on and off clicking 5 times should take no longer than 2.5 secs. "Most" batteries come at least 50% charged.

I would highly doubt you have a used one. They have probably primed the wicks out of the packets so you can start using them. They make need a bit of breaking in even so.
The instruction manual is probably a generic one - like the ones that come with computers sometimes and cover more than one model or package deal. A 'mains adapter' is probably a wall charger. Not essential - but you can buy usb wall chargers if you want one. Generally you'd need at least 1.5 A output.
Yes, I'd keep it and use it. It looks fine to me. Plenty of people use Egos that aren't Joyetech and they work fine.

If I were you it's well worth the offer from Chrissie to meet up with her. Would clear up much of the confusion and be worth 50 posts here requesting help IMO.

Steve where abouts in Cornwall are you? More than happy to meet up with you if you are anywhere near me & get you up & running. I'm just a mile from the Eden Project.

Hiya mate. I am right at the west end in Newlyn.
I would have defiantly taken you up on your generous offer but not really practical given the distance.
I had a go with the battery as it came from the factory and I got a couple decent drags and that was it. After that I just got a funny taste and no vapor.
I have the other one charging now so we will see later.
Cheers, Steve

It couldn't be the battery as the button would flash repeatedly if there was not enough charge. Do you have extra juice to refill the cartridges?

That is a bit of a distance away :(

I've never used the ego-C atomisers & tanks, but this video might help you -

eGo-C Unboxing, Assembly and Cleaning - YouTube

Silly question maybe, but you have filled the tanks with e-liquid? And you do need to make sure the tank is pierced.

That was the problem Chrissie. I had not pierced the thing.
It is toking like a goodun now, although it is also giving a pretty strong head rush!!!!! which I quite like. I am sure that will wear off though.

Well done  If you find the nic level is too strong you could always buy some 24 in the same flavor and mix equal quantities to end up with 30 mg. I began on 36 mg. Good job and so glad you got it sorted out.
Cheers and Happy Vaping :vapor:

My heads are lasting about 4 weeks before I have to change them. I also wash them...with light juice once per week and with dark juice every 3 days and they come out like new. Just some future food for thought. Cheers.[/QUOTE said:
Hi Vapoor, noe I am on my way please could you explain or link me to this cleaning method?
4 weeks sounds ideal for each head to me.. I would be well happy with 2 weeks I think.
Thanks all

Yes I will explain while you :vapor: in contentment. The Vivi Nova comes in 2 sizes- 2.0 and 3.5 ml. They 2.0 looks far better on the eGo. The Vivi is a plastic tank with a head inside. The head consists of a coil+ wick. Over time the coil gets "gunked up" with residue. To clean unscrew bottom of tank, remove head and wash in hot water or soak overnight. Next paper towel dry the wick and tank and "dry burn" the coil until it glows red/ orange. When finished reinstall head, fill with juice and vape. I'll be back with a vid.

He explains rebuilding also but not needed.

Back in a minute with dry burn vid.
