Oh, and what is "OP?" In John's response via Jen Jen, he said "12 posts with the OP..." I know it's got to be ridiculously simple but I'm at a loss lol.

Hi there everyone,
I just joined this forum but I am not an e-smoker/vap'r (what is it called?). I am considering it and I've read through some of the threads and looked at some of the pictures. I would like some advice and I'm thankful that the people here seem really sincere and helpful. I don't trust asking salespeople or companies that sell the products. Users are always the best place to start in my opinion. I had no idea there were so many suppliers or variations of e-cigarettes. Now I'm nervous to purchase them. There is a lot of good advice on this forum...but a lot of it goes over my head because I'm so new to the subject.
Okay, to the point. My situation is this. I love the act of smoking. I am addicted to it as well. If I don't smoke, it feels like my skin is going to peel off on its own. A few months back, I tried the nicotine gum and it worked well for me - except I missed the act of smoking and the gum is expensive for me. Not that cigarettes aren't. I live in Michigan where the cost of cigarettes is astronomical - the cheapest pack I can find in my brand (Marlboro Menthol Milds) is $5.94. Typically, the average price of my brand is around $6.35/pack. However, I am poor - poverty stricken really. Coming up with $6 or so for a pack of cigarettes is much easier for me than coming up with $60 for a box of gum...............
Thanks!

Hey Pandora, and welcome! I also have PCOS, and have been an e-cig owner since Sat. As far as drawbacks from the act of not smoking, I haven't had any, my nic amount was off at first, but got that straighten out by using my moms higher mgs.
I personally went through electronicstix.com -and so has everyone else I know- We have all had great dealings with Jason. I have the Joye 510. It's roughly the diameter of a Camel wide, a little longer though. It hits well, has great battery life, and I have had great sucsess with it. it has drawbacks as well, it looks more like a fancy pen, and is a lil different to hit...I sometimes feel like a crack addict the way I hold it. But all in all, I wouldn't give mine up for nuthin'.
As far as the juice, I get mine from the same place, The menthol taste more like a nice mint- which I don't mind- but the chocolate doesn't remind me of a hershey bar either...but it doesn't taste bad, just different. The 2 flavors a awesome mixed though! Think mint choco chip ice-cream!
But keep doing research and find whats right for you, but I can garantee you won't regret your decision! After startup costs your upkeep will be 1/3 of the cost of ciggs or more!
Good luck!
Rule of Thumb: the more it looks like the real thing, the worse the performance and reliability.
I would suggest only getting manual batteries if you want one that is closer to the consistency and warm feel of the real thing.
Pandora, please check your PM box. One of the vendors here is willing to give you a free start up kit to get you going....
Please post a reply on the New Members forum to let Pandora know that you have bagged her a kit - I cannot post on that forum as a supplier. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/for...help-long.html
If I could post I would say:
12 posts with the OP and several others contributing epics and not a bloody argument in sight! Intellicig will donate a kit for the longest noob post I've seen!!
JenJen will be gathering the address and making sure it gets there.
Cheers
John.

I am definately going to get some of my juices there as well. Thanks John! You are a good guy! What a wonderful gesture. My next order will be from Intellicig!

Just awesome, John. Although your offer wasn't in the open forum format, your offer to the noob serves as a quality piece of advertising given your generosity shown to someone in need.
I offer a tip of the cap to you, Sir -- and, your site will be bookmarked on this end.
Me too. It's rare these days to see someone reach out.
John, do you have a link to intellicigs US site? All I can find is the UK site. I have been hearing about the juices...
Yes, the link please! I will want to order some flavors asap. Thanks

Welcome to the forum bopsmom! Just be sure to order a kit that has two batteries, so you'll always have one to use while the other is charging.
Vaping will be a great help to you. I do still smoke about 2 to 3 real cigs a day...down from 2 to 3 packs!!!!!!!!!
After you've done your research and want to just chat, join the Women's Room (click on the link in my signature...again thanks to MaryKay for helping me get the link in my signature).
I just wanted to say that I started researching e-cigs this morning. I came across this this particular thread and I was grateful that so many of you were so helpful and informative to a newbie(Pandora). I decided after reading that I wanted to join.
I have smoked for so long and have been discouraged so many times that, I think this modification to smoking will be a change for the better. I have a daughter that I would like to see grow up and I want to be able to be active and not held beck because of my bad habit.
Thank you for posting the link to the person who gave the kit to Pandora. Those are the kind of people I would like to do business with.
I am still reading to find out what kit I should start with. I have smoked Marlboro Ultra Lights for years and will be glad to replace them with something better for me.
