I just saw a post by someone who said Blu is working for him, and why all the Blu hate....... blah, blah, blah.

I do not have a problem with anyone using cig-a-likes. I'm no vape snob. If it works, good for you. There are many many brands and vendors who can sell you a cig-a-like though.

But here's a reason that none of us should be doing business with Blu:

THEY ARE IN BED WITH BIG tobacco, ARE ACTIVELY LOBBYING CONGRESS, THE FDA AND OTHER REGULATORY BODIES TO SHUT DOWN OUR SMALLER VENDORS.

The little guys are what built, innovated, improved and created vaping and this entire community and sub culture. Guys tinkering in garages and juice vendors experimenting on kitchen tables.

Big tobacco and make no mistake Blu is big tobacco, are trying to end all that. Co-opt it for their own profit.

Vape quality is going to suffer, prices will rise.

Do not do business with Blu.

Can you show links/sources to strengthen that claim? Nail this home.
I tried blu disposables when I was first dabbling in vapor, and trying to replace cigarettes. They had the flashiest packaging, and cool little designs subtly printed on the black cigalike. It was the WORST I tried by far anyway. The tobacco flavor was like burnt popcorn.

I agree somewhat.

However, there is a difference between understanding where Blu comes from, what and who it is behind them, etc. and just enjoying Blu ecigs.

personally, I havent tried the gas station cigs....and I've heard nothing but mostly bad things about them. However, if it keeps someone off cigs, and that is their PREFERENCE......they I'm all for it.

I mostly agree with your thread though

Agreed.

Here's an article:

Marlboro maker Altria to jump into e-cigarettes - CBS News
Reynolds American Inc., owner of the second-biggest U.S. cigarette maker, has begun limited distribution of its first electronic cigarette under the Vuse brand and Lorillard Inc., the nation's third-biggest tobacco company, acquired e-cigarette maker Blu Ecigs in April 2012.

There should be a sticky list of the big T's e-companies to stay away from.

The e-liquid we use now is not good enough for Big Tobacco. It's not addictive enough to hook consumers in for the long run. Thus I'm sure their in-house chemists are busy trying to get their secret sauce into the mix and finding ways to do it discreetly. The FDA is no angel either.

I think we need a list of ecig vendors that do business as one name but are really controlled by bit tobacco. Johnson Creek makes Blu's juice, I don't do business with them either. Not knowingly anyway.

read what Blu is saying in their own memo..."90% of e-cigarette brands are exact replicas of each other – made in China, and rebranded by different importers. The liquid inhalant is made in mass quantities with no regulations or consistency from batch to batch. These companies are not concerned with consumer safety; they see only the money-making potential in this time of import freedom and little to no restrictions on the category. Thankfully, these 90% will disappear in the coming months"

How do they know this? Could it be they've lobbied, i.e., bribed FDA officials?

umm I refuse to hate..

However, I refuse to smoke something that calls itself tobacco, yet tastes like coffee.

I will not waste my money on them, they are nasty. That isn't hating, it's my opinion, and my money! :vapor:

If it is making you happy.. well then, just get more, I am sure with me not smoking them, it's all the more for you!! :p

Oh for sure they've owned the FDA decades ago. Please don't ask me for proof. They're selling a highly addictive drug that kills millions and the ones that are addicted are setup to be the bad ones.
