If you take something with a good thread and try to match them they do not lock up at all. Besides being sloppy as hell. They are not close enough to the right pitch. Stretched maybe? I can barely catch a thread on three of mine. If these were mine...I would have ..... canned them before anyone could see them.
If I was manufacturing this product I would be ...
Hopefully Chris will forward these shots to the factory.

I'm using the 1.8 Ω head on mine. It works fine, and Got Vapes has them in stock. At least they did 5 minutes ago!

Badkolo...will you be forwarding these pics to the factory so hopefully the can make an attempt to better themselves. I love these SplitFires but the way mine are screwing on it's only a matter of time before I have to crimp a 510 extender onto each them permanently to be able to continue using them.

NICE pics Wally !!..Who/where did you get that "American made" 510 ? (I thought they were all chinese)..And is it indeed, 7mm X .5mm? I'm thinking of going to sears and getting a decent thread chasing set..

Got it from the same place I bought my ProVari. I am assuming it's manufactured at the same shop the ProVari's are machined at. It's definitely 7mm but I'm not sure of the pitch. Gonna pick me up a metric gauge soon.
I have four of these things, one of them has the threading issue and one has larger wick holes than the rest.
For the record though, the other two work great.

Yeah, I am not knocking them I have 4 with a 5th on the way. 3 of my four barely hang onto the batteries but I still love em. I use them for at least 80% of my daily vaping.
