The part that amazes me the most is that even if I leave it sitting on its side for days, it doesn't leak. I would have thought that the liquid would pool in the atomizer chamber and flood it, but it's remarkably well-behaved.

Sounds awesome. I would love to actually vape my juice instead of soaking a tissue with all the juice that has leaked. You should see my desk.... it looks like I have the flu constantly with all the tissues laying around. rofl.
I feel your pain. There's a mini Vivi Nova lying in a pool of juice on my desk at this very moment. I'm glad it's a glass top. There's an AGA-T propped up in a coil of Buckyballs too, because they just love to gush everywhere if not kept vertical.
[And if a Fed bureaucracy can ban the sale of frickin' magnets, you'd better believe they can ban e-cigs. Go sign the petition!]
Got it today whooooop whoooooop. Love it so far! Looks and performance are awesome. It changes the taste of my juice slightly but its not a burnt taste and that is all that counts.... I do have one more question though that I am sure one of you can help me with. Is there an adapter piece I can screw between the battery and the tank so it don't look so tacky?
I'm guessing you're using either an eGo or spinner.......think this is what you're looking for, though it's currently out of stock, you can click on the link to be notified whan it becomes available again

I've had a couple of these, and I love them aside from a few issues. As I posted before, my first one had the threads take a dump and will no longer thread onto my Provari. I've also noticed, before that happened, I get a ton of E1 shorts after I replace the head. This is happening on my current one as well, and it takes a combination of unscrewing the plate at the top, or unscrewing the whole thing from my provari a little bit. Would love to not have to worry about this thing rocking back and forth, or leaking from the middle.
The description on these say that the center posts can be screwed in to adjust the height, but that is absolutely not the case. What's the deal GV?
I use the SplitFires 85% of my vaping time.
The only time I ever got E1 on my PV was when the coil was touching the shell it is in. Take a peek at it. If it's close to one of the sides move it over a tad. Even if it does not look like it's touching give it a little nudge back and forth.
The threads...yeah...they suck. I use some sort of adapter or extension on the majority of mine. If the threads are not totally trashed you may be able to get an extension to screw onto it.
Thanks, but I don't see anything like that going onWorth a try, tried pushing the coils away a bit, but no luck for me. Do you think that might still be the case, even when I can avoid the E1 by just unscrewing things a bit? I really like these things, but it's kind of driving me nuts and I'm sure it's taking a massive toll on the threading, which as we already know isn't that sturdy to begin with.
