The downtown homeless people here must be getting desperate. I was once approached for a cig, but the guy just pointed my mod, said everyone's on those now and asked if I had any change.

The only time I saw someone vaping in his car was even before I discovered vaping. I thought it was a cigarette in a metal tube. Talk about ignorant!

Only if you're a cute girl.... ;)

Traffic is thick as VG in Bay Area. See much vape traffic. Can always tell a vape cloud from a smoke cloud: Color is white, not blue-gray, and the cloud dissipates more quickly. Outside or in a car with an open window, always seems like my exhales are of less volume. But I think it's just because of what I said, the vape cloud evaporates so quickly outside. Kinda fun nodding to other vapers on the road. Even funnier with cops.

Yah, its a nice feeling to see everyone around vaping now. Almost every single time I leave my house there's at least one person with an ecig... heck, I haven't seen an analog in 2 weeks. Smelled em on people, but not very many these days.

Around here you can tell someone's vaping in their car because suddenly their car is FILLED with vapor for a few seconds. Safe? probably not... Pretty cool looking? ohh yah.

My zippo is one of the things I do not leave home without. How else can I look like the dice man without my zippo. Lol. Had a man come up to me and ask questions about how I was doing not smoking and to try it had a cover in my pocket. Since I started vaping I have had two people start cause of my success.

One started vaping to cut down witch is alright also.

I let friends try my stuff all the time. There's one guy at work that always swaps mods with me when we're both vaping outside so we can check out each other's setups and juices. But strangers? Never! That's disgusting!
A few years ago I was at a local amusement park during their annual Halloween event and while standing in line a random guy taps me on the shoulder and say "Dude, you should let me take a few tokes off that thing." while pointing at my ecig. I really didn't know how to respond so I just said "I'll pass." and turned around then proceeded to laugh about it with my wife and friends for the rest of the night. That was the first and only time I've been asked by a random stranger.

I was standing outside work vaping on my break, and a coworker walks up and asks for a light. I said "I don't smoke, I'm vaping." She asked again if she could use my lighter. I had to explain to her that I don't need a flame and that I don't have lighters. She then asked for a cigarette. I about died laughing on my way back to the office... I guess this whole concept is still completely foreign to some people.

Just one of the things I like about vaping: Not having to hand out cigs. Most street folks will see an exhale from a distance, approach, and by the time they're close enough to see what's in my hand, they are too confused and bewildered to bum a smoke. One guy did just walk up to me in the park one day, point to my mod, and grunt as if he wanted a hit. "No, sorry. It's a vaporizer containing an antibiotic meant to clear up my herpes." He didn't ask twice.

Best vape story ever.

Lol that's pretty funny that someone random like that would ask you for a drag off your e cig not even knowing what it is. Just the fact that you didn't know the person is kinda weird. I've had people at my work ask me to use my mods that I bring with me to work. And I've been offered to use the mods of employees at the local B&M.

Everyone ends up trying everyone else's mod at my local shops. When it's about trying some new build, tank, mod or juice that is. No one shares drip tips, though... that would be plain disgusting.

I actually have a few of those silicone condoms in my handbag in a zip lock. The few times someone asks to try my rig I bring one out, put it on and let them, then toss it back in the bag (but not in zip lock) drop it in my vodka cleaning jar for a while and then back it goes into the bag. I figure if someone is curious enough to ask, why not? Maybe I'll make a convert out of them, especially since we have zero vape stores here.

As for zippos...*SIGH*. My hub collects two things. Zippos and high top sneakers. In his defense, he does use the zippos, changes them out every day or so and yes, he wears all those damn shoes. I keep thinking one day he'll outgrow the desire for all high tops all the time, while he is younger than I am he is far from being a youngster. Yet another, *SIGH*

I always liked being able to hand out cigarettes. There were a few times in my life that I've been on the other side of things, and I like to pay it forward.

I've let friends and family try my device when I'm at home. I just like to wash the drip tip for them before, and after.

I think I'm going to start keeping vape condoms in case anyone asks to try my devices when I'm out. It hasn't happened so far.

I have a friend at work who hits my mod from time to time. She is smoker and will typically cough and gag on the exhale (shes also very over dramatic). She'll say 'can I run off with your thing?' and Ill give it to her. Its fun trying to predict when I will here a massive chest cough from the three rooms over. It probably doesnt help that I run a .2ohm build in my rda lol. I coughed the same way after I hit one for the first time, when my lungs were all filled with tar.

I have been carrying those lil tip condoms around since I started vaping, and when I'd put one on..after a request (I get the "can I try that" all the time..I've got that "look" I guess") but then it was received poorly so I just take my tip off...

at the vape shop they're all cool with that..they put their tip on it and vape away.

when they ask I do a riff on the "Can I try yoooooo juice" from PBusardo's youtubes and get giggles.

I see more out and about too and we do the "vaper's salute" with out mods too. *lol*

I wonder just how "safe" those condom tips ARE though ???Does anyone know for sure ?

Our vape whops use them non stop to give people tastes of new juices etc and i took mine home with me last time i tried some juice.Ive been looking at it closely...and..well, obviously ,it has a hole at th e tip close to the hole in the tip (logical..) ...BUT couldnt a micro drop of saliva or some "invisible" microbes/viruses etc pass through there into the tip and "contaminate" it with anything from hepatitis to herpes to the flu or whatever ????

I wouldnt mind "sharing" equipment ( with a silicon cover) with friends or collegues but sharing with strangers makes me a bit nervous even WITH a condom-tip....Im even wondering if I should maybe give up on going to try new juices & stuff at my local vape store,it would be a real bummer because I really appreciate it and it would be tough to have to just buy liquids & equip without getting to try it out first ( would end up being very expensive too, with alot of "mistakes") but when i start thinking just how many people have been "trying" those tips/tanks.......:( !!!
(i dont think they clean & change them everyday, i think it just stays there until all the juice is gone(?)).

Of course in the old days at college etc we would all pass along & share cigs, drinks, everything, without ever thinking twice about it but nowadays....???(and you dont have to be a homeless junkie shooting up in some back alley or hanging with sleazy sexworkers to have hepatitis these days, alot of very "normal" looking professional people end up catchin g it, same goes with ehrpes etc, and usually people dont advertise this, not even to friends).

What do you guys think ? Anyone ever see/hear of any official scientific study on this (safety of those silicon tips and "sharing" ecigs ) ?

Well I tried a ton of different juices on all kinds of mods yesterday at a vape summit. Most of the time I just used my drip tip, but once or twice I used the silicone covers. I haven't seen any studies on them, but if I die soon I will post back here with the results.

And even tasting at a store is no guarantee... if the store is busy and filled with a lot of vapor, it's very hard to taste anything properly. I've come home with at least 2 total surprises -- Pipe Sauce's Long Bottom Leaf, really good surprise... Halo Voodoo... ugh... why in the HELL did I buy that??? Maybe because the store was so filled with vapor, I couldn't really taste it, but it stood out from the others.
