The silo looks good too , dna 75c , just needs the bicarb cleaning for a smooth finish looked at thoese too ,
Even had a look at alpine tech 75c boxes for dual 20700 ,build with the right sanyos could have 8-9000mah life from it ,

Yeah I had all of mine bead blasted, just got done making for my gf a dna75c silo with a 20700 battery sled, those batts are awesome... they're pretty much indestructible too, & extremely accurate in TC, due to the quality of the parts/thick guage wiring.

Hey @Bently73 (Sorry for reply to other reply but had trouble finding original)

I've been wanting me so e VG gear for awhile now too, can you not just order from Germany? 80 euros and usually in stock

InTaste

I've been wanting the wooden version ever since I saw it

Still haven't gotten one yet but the 2.5, 3, and v4 mini tanks also all look like they would be excellent tanks and a lot less expensive than other tanks of that caliber...

Ive got a V4 mini it is a great tank , they just brought out the medium V4 which has same size chamber and deck ,but is on a 32mm base it holds 7-10ml for the VG 2 mod 32mm dual 26650s stacked or single ,
Germany wont ship them to the UK i have contacted them at various shops along with shops in Austria and Switzerland response has been same sadly cannot ship to the UK,
even though we are supposed to be part of the EU one rule for them another for Us.

They are nice good quality tanks, they come up a lot on German ebay , but sane thing wont ship UK.

The new Merkava arrived. Its a v5!
First impressions:
1. Still some machine oil, at least the taste is there even after i cleaned it but no biggie.
2. the machining is very good indeed. The chimney thread is a bit crunchy but the threading is quite fine and im sure it will wear in.
3. looks cute in it's natural xvostick environment!
4. The deck is really cool but forgot to take a pic...will do it next time!
5. the af reducers are really good. The 1.4mm is a tight draw even for me so might try the 1.7 mm next time. Have a 27g NiFe48 in there and its a wee bit warm but nice nonetheless!
6. Gap between the top cap and the tank is a bit OCD-inducing but I'll live with it.
7. The bayonet top fill is genius!

So far (ie about 20 minutes) i really like it. I liked the v1 but they have solved all of the issues with that and this is now a very, very good RTA!!!! Well done Chels and the crew!!!!

Hi TheotherSteveS, after using a few days Merkava v5, you can make a brief summary?

Gotcha, does anybody know if the ultem tanks are "tpd compliant" like the plastic ones
They're not. The PC tank it comes with is exactly the same size as the glass and Ultem tanks, just thicker to make it only hold 2mL. I don't think anybody plans to use it like that, it's just to let the tank slide through the TPD regs. I just got another Skyline (this time they were in stock for over 48hours before selling out, OMFG!!!)

I honestly do not understand their software very much. I did actually get notifications this time, not sure whether or not they arrived before or after the tanks had sold out; but I've had 2 polished Ultem tanks in my cart since they were available a long time ago. Then when I tried to order them months ago, they wouldn't let me, and just turned them Bright Red within my shopping cart and said SOLD OUT... but, kept them wedged in my cart, wherein I could not remove them.

So, ordering another Skyline, I just added it to my cart, expected everything to get sold out before I even pulled the trigger and completed my order, so I didn't look at what else was in my cart; it all went through, and my 2nd Skyline just arrived ... along with 2 polished Ultem tanks, which have been "sold out" ever since I tried added them months ago; were sold out when the latest batch of Skyline's dropped about a week ago, and still show as sold out on the site, and are impossible to add to the cart. Yet.. they shipped me 2 of the unavailable/sold out tanks. Go figure.

Not complaining :) Just sayin', their website/cart/actual inventory, isn't quite an exact match which stays in sync quite yet.

So is the one you ordered the new shorter version with the integrated ultem drip tip that connects directly to the bell cap? Would love to see photos.

I... have absolutely no idea. This may be because I'm drinking, or it could also be because I replied to a Skyline post from about 2 pages ago, and we're talking about completely different attys. On the third hand, it's also entirely possible that a shorter version with an integrated Ultem driptip and bell cap is coming for the Skyline, and nobody even notified me [gasp]. Obviously, I need it right away, if not sooner, if it exists ... if it doesn't exist, it should, because it'd be an accessory with hiGh MarGinS and Limited Availability, and they could SELL IT TO US, and we'd buy it, because we're addicts, and it's shiny, so they should Hurry uP!

What I was talking about, is this thing:

Hey guys, a while back in this thread I mentioned that the Delrin Hellfire Phantom was my unicorn mod and I was fortunate enough recently to finally get one. Also I have just recently gotten the Skyline RTA and despite it's ease of use I've found a way to over complicate things when building it. Can't seem to get any flavor out of it. Can I see pics of your builds guys and wicking tips perhaps? Thank you !!

Word, I had issues with the system as well, finally ended up.gettimg mine second hand but I'm glad I did, got some extras with it & was able to haggle him way down bc there was a clone coming out at the time.

You're not alone, I've had mine for around 2 weeks, tried numerous builds and all of the air disks, just can't seem to get it to vape like my hussar... It also gunks up very fast and burns juice, and then seeps that burnt juice back into the tank... I had my best luck with a 2.5mm SS430 clapton with the wicks trimmed like hell to fit, but that only lasted a couple hours and then I got brown seepage back into the tank and flavor curdled shortly after that... My gf loves it though, she likes the idea of the air disks, says it's so quality & easy to use she doesn't care about the (lack of) flavor, lol. So I handed it off to her and went back to my hussar for adv, which I think I preferred all along, that thing just works for me, maybe it doesn't tick all my boxes in the way it's designed but it vapes great, lasts a long time in between builds, and the flavor never curdles on me bc the jfc on it just doesn't let it burn juice like that.

I think the best way to work the jfc on the skyline is to set it to like <420F'ish, and choke the wicks so they're slightly starved... That temp should keep the wicks from burning and anyway that's the only way I've been able to avoid the seepage.

Yes I noticed the same thing with the discoloration seeping into the tank. I finally got it to wick right but I can't get any flavor from it. People say that it rivals the hussar but I haven't gotten it anywhere close to that kind of flavor. I will be very dissapointed if the flavor isn't at least better than the kayfun5 , which in my opinion is just okay. I will continue to mess around with it for now. Thank you Kiba

IDK, I use simple SS316L or NiFE coils, which are usually at .8-1.4Ω. I'm pretty careless with wicks, cut 'em to around the edge of the atty, and then push what's left in front of the coil instead of trimming 'em. It all Just Works for me.

With the Skyline, it all Just Works for me with a 2.5mm ID coil and nothing else. 3 Won't Go and makes the atty become VeRy AnGrY and start doing terrible, annoying things.

Build Quality: Skyline is amazing, Kayfun 5 comes next, Hussar is the lowest.
Flavor: Hussar still wins, Skyline is a bit better than Kayfun 5 but it's not life-changing. It's also smaller.

Design (related to flavor): no matter which AirDisk I'm using, there is not enough space on the build deck for all the airflow to go up over the coil. There is always extra space on either side, where the air is not directly hitting the coil. IDK if this is a design choice, or an error that will get corrected/fine-tuned in later Skyline builds; but it may contribute to the Skyline's 2nd best flavor experience (in my opinion, all opinions are of course highly subjective).

...

If Hussar improved their game, had higher quality build, and most of all, got some customer service which isn't terrible, they'd be awesome. I have spent somewhere north of $700 buying authentic Hussar attys, all the extras, and that's not counting the Steam Tuners add ons. I am experiencing leakage/seeping from one of them, apparently this is an O ring fix. I sent email, which took -- literally -- 3 months to answer, indicating they can't sell me any O rings but will ship me an extra pack for free. I got the same message when I had to login to Facebook and file the same problem with Hussar, and was assured of exactly the same thing. Half a year later, I have yet to receive the O rings or any other response. In my personal experience I would rate Hussar as the best flavor atty on the market right now, with the absolute worst customer service of any company selling HE attys. Saying their customer service is terrible, is being kind. Maybe I expect too much asking to purchase replacement parts for an incredibly over-priced atty, but, "Sorry, your $200 atomizer is now useless because we can't be bothered to sell you .50 cents worth of replacement parts for $8" isn't an acceptable answer. I will stop ranting now, but my experience with Hussar customer service has been incredibly awful. I guess I should buy a clone or three and see if any of their O rings fit the authentic. Same with tanks, one of my Ultem tanks is getting worn, the "teeth" at the bottom where it slots in, are worn down. Can I buy a replacement tank? No, of course not, that'd be crazy, just throw it in the trash and go buy another $200 atty seems to be the message from them. Another item to go buy clones of on FT to see if they fit the authentic.

All of the above is incredibly annoying. At this stage of my life I have far more money then time, which is how it always seems to work. I have the money to buy whatever shiny things I want, but I lack the time to chase people around, and this experience of basically NO customer service, has made me go from loving Hussar, to being in the psychological position of wanting to send them a bill for how many hours of my time they've wasted with this nonsense.

Dear Hussar: I've purchased multiple very expensive attys from you. I'd like to purchase some spare parts so that they continue working. Your complete lack of any useful response has turned me from being a huge fan of your products, into a person who still thinks your products are great and have tremendous potential, but are backed by an inept, disorganized, relatively awful company.

Hussar, it's a great atty, until you need a spare/replacement anything... then it's something you can throw in the trash, or go cannibalize $20 clones for parts.

Pardon me, I was just clearing my throat and all that came out. Maybe it has something to do with having just cleaned and rebuilt all my Hussars, where 1 is basically now useless unless I use the Steam Tuner aftermarket tanks.

Picture of Your Setup Part 3!

Man, I am glad to know I am not the only one that feels like this about Hussar. The flavor is good but I rarely use mine due to the fact that it is a PITA and leaks and seeps! By the time I've gone through one tank, also Steam Tuners (cause the original never did, won't, couldn't possibly seal), wiping, mopping and cursing, I need a drink.
I too, blow a lot of cash on the vape experience. Hussar has made me a little more cautious about jumping on the next new High End RTA. The Skyline was on my short list earlier this year. Then they released without notifying as they said they would. I almost jumped on the second release due to the over-whelming number of posts here on how great they vape either MTL or DTL. The comments on the exceptional build quality. Then I look at the Hussar and I pause.
The Calix V3 was a good move for my vaping style if you forgive the sharp edges that are everywhere. I have sliced both thumbs on the deck and the cage. But it doesn't leak, it's easy to build and it is well made.
The By Ka V7 that is upcoming is on my list as the V6 stays in my rotation. The V6 is reliable and has no issues IMHO. I may get burned but I won't be down another 2 bills either.
The Kayfun 5's & 3's that I own and use almost daily aren't sexy but they have good flavor (not the best) they travel well and are serviceable. I rebuild the 5's after 3 months as the tank o-rings on the build deck start to allow juice into the AFC. But I know what to expect and don't mind maintenance. The mini 3's have yet to be rebuilt with no issues.
The Taifun GTIII, the GG Armed and even the rather crude Limelight Tube are all more enjoyable and much better made than the Hussar.
Poor products and poor service is something I am not willing to tolerate.

The burnt juice as you call it it the juice evaporation gets caught on the inner dome of chamber which builds up to a thick dark greasy layer that when juice is evaporated
It leaches back down into the juice coming into to deck juice wells then leaches inyo tank , if you cleaned the inner chamber after a couple of refills it will help stop it ,
Have a look when it happens again , once that layer us cleaned off it stops , until it builds up again ,
If had wider bore and more Airflow it wouldn't build up

Hi TheotherSteveS, after using a few days Merkava v5, you can make a brief summary?
sorry bud, missed that one! I did actually take some pics etc to do a mini review but didnt get around to it.

Overall, i like the thing. I think they have improved it a lot since the v1 i had and sold. The air lock issue around the base of the chim/JF is basically fixed, the deck is much improved and very easy to build and i am getting some good flavour with it. Still having a few issues with turning the JF but lubing the top o-ring in the cap helped a bit. The machining overall is very good as, i think, i said before. For the money its a pretty good deal. Probably prefer the dvarw to be honest but both good tanks and certainly good value for money!!

I stalked Hussar on FB and got him to send me new o-rings after about two weeks. He sent me some 18x1, 19x1 and 7x1 o-rings. The ones the seemed to have fixed the persistent dumping of eliquid was the one that is the outer at the top of the tank. I tried the small one in the chimney with no luck but have had good luck after replacing the ones that seal the tank to the base and top piece.

T for Texas!
sorry bud, missed that one!

I'll be snagging another Dvarw when they put out the .9 air flow and ultem tank.

Yeah and it even climbs up into my drip tip, I know what it is but this doesn't happen like this on any of my other atty's, like ever... It might on the hussar if i let it go in between rebuilds a couple of weeks, vs a day. you might of noticed this tank can build up a lot of pressure it's my guess that juice gets sometimes pushed through too fast and too much, but enough to have excess juice most of the time. I'm not much for fluid engineering but it seems like that is what causing it.
