IDK, I use simple SS316L or NiFE coils, which are usually at .8-1.4Ω. I'm pretty careless with wicks, cut 'em to around the edge of the atty, and then push what's left in front of the coil instead of trimming 'em. It all Just Works for me.
With the Skyline, it all Just Works for me with a 2.5mm ID coil and nothing else. 3 Won't Go and makes the atty become VeRy AnGrY and start doing terrible, annoying things.
Build Quality: Skyline is amazing, Kayfun 5 comes next, Hussar is the lowest.
Flavor: Hussar still wins, Skyline is a bit better than Kayfun 5 but it's not life-changing. It's also smaller.
Design (related to flavor): no matter which AirDisk I'm using, there is not enough space on the build deck for all the airflow to go up over the coil. There is always extra space on either side, where the air is not directly hitting the coil. IDK if this is a design choice, or an error that will get corrected/fine-tuned in later Skyline builds; but it may contribute to the Skyline's 2nd best flavor experience (in my opinion, all opinions are of course highly subjective).
If Hussar improved their game, had higher quality build, and most of all, got some customer service which isn't terrible, they'd be awesome. I have spent somewhere north of $700 buying authentic Hussar attys, all the extras, and that's not counting the Steam Tuners add ons. I am experiencing leakage/seeping from one of them, apparently this is an O ring fix. I sent email, which took -- literally -- 3 months to answer, indicating they can't sell me any O rings but will ship me an extra pack for free. I got the same message when I had to login to Facebook and file the same problem with Hussar, and was assured of exactly the same thing. Half a year later, I have yet to receive the O rings or any other response. In my personal experience I would rate Hussar as the best flavor atty on the market right now, with the absolute worst customer service of any company selling HE attys. Saying their customer service is terrible, is being kind. Maybe I expect too much asking to purchase replacement parts for an incredibly over-priced atty, but, "Sorry, your $200 atomizer is now useless because we can't be bothered to sell you .50 cents worth of replacement parts for $8" isn't an acceptable answer. I will stop ranting now, but my experience with Hussar customer service has been incredibly awful. I guess I should buy a clone or three and see if any of their O rings fit the authentic. Same with tanks, one of my Ultem tanks is getting worn, the "teeth" at the bottom where it slots in, are worn down. Can I buy a replacement tank? No, of course not, that'd be crazy, just throw it in the trash and go buy another $200 atty seems to be the message from them. Another item to go buy clones of on FT to see if they fit the authentic.
All of the above is incredibly annoying. At this stage of my life I have far more money then time, which is how it always seems to work. I have the money to buy whatever shiny things I want, but I lack the time to chase people around, and this experience of basically NO customer service, has made me go from loving Hussar, to being in the psychological position of wanting to send them a bill for how many hours of my time they've wasted with this nonsense.
Dear Hussar: I've purchased multiple very expensive attys from you. I'd like to purchase some spare parts so that they continue working. Your complete lack of any useful response has turned me from being a huge fan of your products, into a person who still thinks your products are great and have tremendous potential, but are backed by an inept, disorganized, relatively awful company.
Hussar, it's a great atty, until you need a spare/replacement anything... then it's something you can throw in the trash, or go cannibalize $20 clones for parts.
Pardon me, I was just clearing my throat and all that came out. Maybe it has something to do with having just cleaned and rebuilt all my Hussars, where 1 is basically now useless unless I use the Steam Tuner aftermarket tanks.
