@theo, when looking at the air discs on their site, I thought the 1.5 x 1 would be my range, then seen your post above in which that's the one you have. So a fairly tight draw but possible to also do restrictive lung inhales? I believe the tightest tank I have is the byka , which I bought the smaller chimney and I believe the tightest deck option. I keep the AF all the way open and it's ok for me, but perhaps the tightest tank I vape. Do you also have that configuration on the byka? Just curious how the sky with your disc compares

The 1x1.5 is an authentic M2L draw, real old skool! I just tried a D2L nearly popped an artery so you might want o get one of the others instead or as well as. the 3x1.0 is ok for very restricted d2l - think pico on 2 holes...

Very well put buddy :)

Excuse me whilst I copy and paste that into my video notes [emoji23]

haha!! Glad some of the crap I post is useful :)

Another thing that had just occurred to me is that I can see people hovering over the order page at ESG adding and subtracting these things as their mind changes. It might be that too much choice is a bad thing here given the relatively small differences between the options. I mean you have all 10 of the little buggers - what on earth are you going to do with them all?!?!

....and just for kicks here are the total AF sizes for each one. The slots are approximate as I havent accounted for the rounded ends but there is some redundancy on the sizes as you can see although slots and holes with the same total area might vape a bit differently (but i doubt anyone could tell the difference..). Yeah I'm sad I know...

Ok, found a bit of time to plug in the new skyline deck :)
Obviously it is very similar to the old one. The wick well around the coil is a bit roomier and the juice channels are now v-shaped so you have a bit more JF at fully open for example - good for bigger builds. I slapped in the 1x1.5mm adaptor thingy and thta is what will remain there. It is pretty much a perfect draw for me now. I put in a 8/7 27g NiFe48 build around 2.5mm microcoil, around 0.3Ω and wicked her up. The vapour production has improved a lot, partly due to better juice flow and partly dude to the fact that my last build must have been a bit off lol! Overall really good and has taken it up half a notch further for me so happy i went for it. Whether it is worth it for most people I'm not sure really but it is an improvement for sure! The little ledge of PEEK poking out front in the second image is what the removal tool grabs onto!!

ps. if @Mark Todd is going to review all 10 inserts he will have his work cut out. No way of removing with coil in place lol!

I think I'll leave the vid channel stuff to the experts - my reviews would go for around 5 seconds "this is crap" or "this is good"

Thanks for the comment on my husky, his name is Ronin :)

I'm with you on that one. That style of review would certainly be unusual (but probably as informative as most of the reviews on YT)

He is awesome and a great name for him. Husky my favourite breed but i bet they need a lot of looking after in terms of exercise etc! worth it though i bet!

Thanks mate :) They are certainly not a dog for everyone - I sled race in winter with him and swim with him in the summer so he is happy which makes things very easy :) But yeah, you need to put a lot of work in when they are young to make life good. They are way too smart to be totally obedient - you have to work wit them as a partnership rather than a dictatorship :)

I'd love to try sledding. It's on the bucket list but not a popular travel option in north london...Give him a good pat from me!!

And that is why you should do reviews, you don't take it seriously, the #1 rule in my book [emoji3]

Skydeck arrived today - yeehar :)

    Short review - Buy it - it's great !

    Longer review...

I am very impressed, makes an awesome RTA even better. The new larger well and juice holes really make a difference. Prior to the new deck I always had the JFC fully open, now I can adjust to suit my juice and build, rather than an 'on or off' which it basically was before (for me)

With the air discs being Peek - I would err on the side of caution and have at least 2mm between the bottom of your coil and the disc. I have seen a Peek AF melt on a different atty when it was too close to a bigger build.

I started with the original MTL deck - which I was finding a bit restrictive for how I prefer to vape these days. I tried my first Airdisc which is the biggest of the 4 I purchased (1.5 x 4mm slot) This is good but possibly a little too open for me. I will look forward to stepping down with my next build.

Having the wire hole heights different on the posts is very clever and makes inserting the coil even easier - assuming you wrap you coil in direction that makes the leg correspond to the wire holes :) to take advantage of this feature.

    So, all-in-all I am very impressed !

The Hussar still has the edge in flavour intensity for me, but man, the new Skyline is a silky smooth and flavourful vape.

PS. If someone is a real DLer you could probably try a big build with no air disc inserted ??
