The Hussar continues to confound me...
I get the flavor that everyone speaks of but, I cannot, for the life of me, get this device built without some bugaboo.

The micro tank seeps at the bottom. VG was carefully applied to all orings. The JFC on the large tank appears closed but will flood the deck and the tank will empty. Moved from a 2.5 coil to 3.0 hoping that the increased cotton would help, it has not. The AFC ring shredded an oring today. Probably my mistake as I was cleaning another failed attempt to enjoy this device.

I'm down with the learning curve on RTA's, in fact, I normally enjoy sorting out the nuances and learning as I knock about a new device, but this thing....one solid build of ten. That was with the seeping micro tank.

The original top cap is quite loose on either tank compared to the radiator top cap I purchased. So I won't even use it as I doubt it would hold vacuum. The threading on the top of the chimney and tank cap on both tanks has felt wonky since day one. Few of the original orings fit well, either too small in diameter or are a bit loose in there respective grooves.

I'll re ring everything soon and give it a couple more attempts before conceding that my example of this rta may never stay dry, which, for me is unacceptable.

Super bummed with this bugger! The flavor is great when I have been able to vape and I'm not chasing juice with a towel. But so is the Origen, and I could have had two of them for the cost of the Hussar.

My GG Armed should arrive soon and my attention will be diverted from the Hussar for a bit. Obviously, I need the diversion.

I recall reading somewhere that Hussar realized an o ring sizing issue with one of the realeases and agreed to send current owners a replacement set.

You may be right but I think this issue was with the initial release of the Skyline! Having said that, there were some QC issues with the early hussars I think also. Certainly worth an enquiry I would have thought.

Thanks, I will try to contact them directly.

I did re-ring today. The original tank still leaks past the JFC. The micro is setup and if I open the JFC and allow the air to escape, close it off immediately, take a few draws and repeat it is keeping the weeping at the base to a minimum.

Thanks also to @theothersteve5 for the input too!

The flavor is extremely good.

Any leaking is unacceptable so contact your vendor and they will put you in direct contact with Hussar to have it resolved. Yep the tank has some quirks but nothing that shouldn't be worked out by your 2nd or 3rd build, so there must be a QC issue with your tank.

I build big and small, loose and tighter cotton and never had an issue. As we discussed earlier, the only time I had a leak or dumped juice was through the AFC when I stuffed up by turning my JF on without the outer top cap in place.

I can understand your frustration for sure. Try and stick with it a little longer and chase up the company and I am sure you will be happy in the end.

Hello, theothersteve. I really like the look of that in your pic so I tried to find it but not much luck. Then I found one from Toronto. I mean I like high-ish end rtas, sort of around the £100 mark but $239.99?!!?
Do you have it on order now?
Did you pay that much?

Congrats mark for your 5yr anniversary off the fags. I stopped Aug 2015 and found your channel not long after. I have really enjoyed watching you waffle about in that man cave you call a shed and have had quite a few good laughs watching you try to remember what you were talking about (all in good fun) and here's to 5 more !!!!!

Congrats @Mark Todd on your anniversary.

I don't really have one because I started vaping about 6 years ago but was never a smoker before that; I hated it in fact.

I remember in the early days vaping outside my student hall, next to all the smokers. I used mostly 306 atomisers back then and vaped only ECOpure Rich, probably the oldest VG-only juice. It was amasing and it had a huge fan base, until they reformulated it :(

Back then most people had no idea what vaping was, even if they someone had heard of it by name. I had to answer the same question numerous times every day.
But I think I am proud of the fact that I got numerous people to convert at that time. Back then it was difficult, not like today when someone is just curious and you send them to a vape shop or give them a few tips. The process back then was very fidgety and the experience for most was midiocre at best.
