Its quite a bit different. AF control is new with custom AFC rings, 3mm air-hole (!) under coil, new top cap(s) with top-fill. Deck is same (except for increased air) but overall an evolution rather than a revolution and more suited to D2L it seems from Mark's review...

Yeah bang on Steve but you can still MTL with it if you want.
There is so much vape gear I want but can't afford.....

Great review Mark I was super surprised at the amount of vapor you were getting from that bugger and doubly suprised to see you using a Clapton coil haha(in your defense it was around a 1 ohm coil) your slowly being corrupted into a restricted lung vapor

I kid I kid but this is another to the vaping bucket list

I am super enjoying the Vapor Giant Mini V4 with nano tank and MTL kit I have heard hardly anyone talking about it but the flavor is great, the construction is great and I haven't been able to put the damn thing down. I have been vaping a Butterscotch vanilla custard with a touch of ry4 and my god it is tasty

The VG v4 is one I need to try, the vape quality from all the VG tanks has always been superb.

Also need to get the latest Taifun as well, the GT2 was amazing.

Must admit, never tried a VG of any version. They seem really well built and the price is pretty modest compared to many 'high-end' tanks!

If you liked the GT2, you will really like the GT3. Again, it is more open than the 2 but they also have a PTFE insert to cut down the size of the hole from 3.5 to 2mm!! I stuck the steam tuners drop kit on mine and it works beautifully with the juice-flow control, no need for the pronged DT (you know, like the Rose 3!!).

I actually got a few of the EVL Reaper SS Rose v3 drip tips, vaping @ 10-20watts most of the time, SS is fine for me, and in my subjective opinion looks a lot nicer than <insert new/old miracle plastic here>.

@TheotherSteveS, @Yonjuro, or Mark, lemme ask this- If I'm already rotating K5s, Hussars, Rose v3, Skyline, and mini V3s for MTL... why do I want a GT3? Yes, I know, because it's sh1nY!, but other then that, does it produce some unique alchemy which will make me incredibly happy for 5 minutes before tossing it back on a shelf? I guess what I'm asking is, out of all the attys you have, does your brain ever interrupt you and go like, "Hey! Load up the GT3!!!! You urgently need that right now!" My brain is kinda going, well, just get another Skyline when they're available and don't worry about it.

Of course this is probably mediated by April 15th gun pointed at head day and hemorrhaging money to our glorious government and all its good works. Otherwise I would've already clicked [x] add to cart!

I'm just praying for a bellcap or similar for the Skyline, that may satisfy my "OMG IT'S SHINY I WANT" thing that is going on just now ;)
that would be very nice. A Chris Mun-style jobbie probs won't happen as it would need to have it's own chimney/JF setup since this is one piece on the skyline. Its the sort of thing steam tuners might do though!! Fingers crossed!! If I come across anything good, I'll send you one :)

The price point was one of the reasons I picked it up. I saw that I could grab the VG V4 with Nano tank kit and MTL kit for $150 US which is still a big investment for me but compared to say the Hussar with mini tank/MTL kit and radiator cap (or whatever the name of the cap that takes 510 drip tips and doesn't look weird) would be about $300

Good evening ladies and gentlemen,

I have been flowing this thread for some time and I see there are some respectable people debating that I want to pay my respect.

My intention was just to read, but today, after a really long time, I sat with my friends and smoked a real cigar with some nice wine and cognac and it got me thinking. I believe with Rose V3 and Taifun GT3 sitting on Therion 166, it does not get much better. But compared to the real thing, well, while I am writing this, I am still smoking the cigar and drinking chardonnay, and it feels so damn good, it makes me want to share this feeling.

And it makes me wonder. I spent so much on best the market can offer, but when I close my eyes and fill my lounges, it is not same feeling.

Do not get me wrong. I adore vaping and although I take a smoke at wife's real cigarettes, just to remind me how bad they are, I would never go back. But at that special occasions, I believe majority of distinguished gentleman and madams would pick the real thing close their eyes and enjoy the feeling.

Greetings from Ankara/Turkey

I think a lot of us have moved on from trying to replicate the smoking of combustable tobacco. A lot of us would be unable to pick up a cig, cigar or pipe and comfortably smoke it without very quickly becoming a slave to the addiction - again.

So, on one hand I get what you are saying - that there is no real comparison either in taste or feeling, but this is not an issue for most of us these days.

It is a hobby to a lot of us now, we can fiddle with our builds, wires, wicking, juices etc to obtain the best combination for our individual taste. The combinations are endless.

We can replace our addiction from the 'combustable' with the equally powerful addiction of 'Shinyitis' :D I think most of us know that we are going to get a similar vape across a wide offering of devices these days.

I don't have the time or space (or money) for a hundred different attys and mods, so these days I focus of what would be considered more 'high-end' - my reason for this is simple - I enjoy it. I enjoy researching, and watching out for reviews and sometimes having to F5 to get an atty or mod I want. It has effectively replaced my previous love of collecting high end and custom briar pipes and thankfully the endless empty packets of cigs.

So, basically what I am getting at, is that vaping to many, is more than just emulating smoking. If you can have the occasional cigar and not be a slave to it, then props to you :) However, I would imagine that to most of us here, any combustable is not a good idea.

LOL, it's like running into an AA meeting and telling everyone how great a drink is [emoji23]

... and there I was trying to be subtle  and Mark comes in with a succinct yet sledgehammer-like comment  that sums it up in far fewer words than I used :p

I own the Rose 3 the Kv5 and the GT3 among others. The value of the GT3 is the amazing ability to dial in the airflow like no other rta I have. It is the most versatile of all my atomizers. You can easily customizr the airflow to your personal taste. It is also velvety smooth like the Kv5 but with more choices. As a single coil rta it is one of my top two.
