Really glad I picked up a bottle of this...
I have traditionally hated roses. I worked in a flower shop in highschool, and did my fair share of wrapping up a dozen roses. It is just so cliche, and plus those em-effers hurt! (every rose has it's thorn) But then I worked in a restaurant and was introduced to the culinary application of roses. Now, if you haven't tried a chocolate cake with chocolate-rose icing, you are missing out. Turns out roses are delicious! I love them in tea and gin drinks and chocolate... and so this was really a no-brainer for me. I totally get the gradma's bathroom thing, but I really think it's all about association (as I'm sure has been said many times before).
Anyway, I really liked it FOOB with all the rosey-ness in full force, but after a few days, it's getting even better. Rose is definitely mellowing out, and more balanced.
I would make the humble request that Nicoticket continue experimenting with florals, even if only occasionally.
Also, I just dripped some on top of strawnilla, and Y U M!

You are 100% correct on the associations piece!! So glad you enjoyed it! I don't have the "grandma's bathroom" association - we have a local food joint McFoster's Natural Kind that uses florals in food alot - I get that association. You haven't eaten a salad until it's garnished with flowers. :)

I have a question in regards to Roundhouse. When I ordered it I assumed that it was made the same day because the born on date on the bottle has the same date as my order date. NT's website though states Roundhouse was mixed in June and released in July. How do I know if I have a fresh batch or a part of the June batch?

I believe they are all the same batch. Dates on bottles are poured dates.

I'm asking because I'm curious about learning which juices are already steeped before they ship and which aren't. I was trying to figure out if I can expect much change with my bottle of Roundhouse flavor wise. Looks like it's from June so it's very well steeped I would say. I'm not getting much cherry from it but that could just be me, my taste buds and sense of smell have times where they go haywire.

Penny, it is that way with all the juices. If it doesn't have a made date on the website you can ask Clark by giving him your order number...and the CRT may change as it's now in a smaller bottle rather than their big batch bottle. I found the cherry comes out a few days to a week after using the bottle for a bit. :)

Thank you Jason, that is what I'm looking forward to!

The date on the bottle is the date the liquid was dispensed from the bulk liquid, not the date it was mixed...

With the SRs, you can reference the mix date on the website.

With the core offerings, there's no date posted on the website, BUT - as a general rule all the liquid is pre-steeped a minimum of 2-4 weeks.

All this will change after we transition to the new process, the dates on the bottles will be the mix date (or, at a bare minimum, an expiration date that is 1 year from the mix date)
