The bitterness of the lime was sort of pleasant in a way. Reminded me of lime-ades from when I was a kid. What really made my mouth pucker is the lemon....I HATE lemon anything except lemon zest cooked into a seafood sauce. As I've been vaping it the flavors have all become LEMON so I put it away with a mind to try it later hoping the lemon fades out...

wow, i get no bitterness at all. Even tried a .8 ohm single coil build on my magma just to see. And nothing. I get tangy at lower watts, and creamy at higher watts. Literally an hour after I had this in my hand, I picked up 2 more bottles from a secret not to be named member. This is going to go fast......... I will say, that I cannot ADV this, but I think it's because I'm not used to max vg, and the fruitiness is too much for me. But it is my mostly all day vape since I got it. This is why I need a savory vape, to balance it out.

Hi Ho Silver! ( Sorry, Had to do it) I consider myself to have a fairly discerning palate as two of my passions happen to be cooking as well as consuming and collecting fine wines. I've given the Sure Bert an ample test run and each time have come up with Bitter, Bitter and more Bitter. But after drizzling just the slightest bit of the Bert over sweeter juices, I have found that I really like it but just can't take it straight at all. This is why I'm waiting for the man himself to check in and see what his thoughts may be.

No matter what the outcome, it's still all good with me. :)

distortoblotto, the results of my first build and what was described by you was also my experience. I did a 1 ohm on my Veritas and moved the wattage all over the place. I put it all away, the citrus kicked my .....

Later I went back and built a 1.2 ohm dual and tossed it on my IPV to get the coils working a little faster. That made a big difference but I started low and worked my way up settling at 20W. The lime is still dominate but I am getting pineapple and creaminess now.

Personally I really like the flavor it leaves on my palate after the exhale, it is Sure Bert. I really works on this build but this liquid is defiantly build specific, well at this young age anyway. I'm sure it will change in a week or so ;)

Thanks Mark! Yep, I'm working on alternative builds myself. I am also digging the flavor but finding that I just need to cut the Bert more than quite a bit with other juices. Not by a little but more like a lot. The stuff that I have is almost like it is super concentrated and is really intense.

Dripping it, it's a little harsh for me. With a 1.2 ohm coil, I went from 7 to 20 watts and it kicked me too. I haven't yet tried mixing it with something or putting it in a tank to mute it a little. Lime is so dominate right now and I couldn't find the cream.

I'm thinking age may be a factor and will hang on to it for a while to see if anything changes.

Meg, you want a seafood vape with lemon zest. You may not know it, but you do. ;)

Agree with all the reviews - the Bert is a wily little fellow. My first reaction was definitely, "whoa!". But there is something about this guy. I am nearly half way through a 15ml bottle. All dripped on a single .8 ohm coil with plenty of airflow. It leaves me with such a cool refreshed taste - I can't seem to put it down. Crazy stuff. I can totally get how this doesn't hit for everyone, but I'm glad I found the Bert.

I certainly have found that cutting it with straight VG made it better for me. I need less than 6mg when I'm really lung hitting, so I cut some in half (50% Bert, 50% VG) and it flavors were a bit muted but not as much as you might imagine. When I do it again I'll probably try 2:1 or even 3:1.

My one negative on the juice is that it spidered a polycarb nano Kayfun tank (on an Orchid clone though). Its so rare that I vape citrus-y juice that I didn't even think of tank cracking.

Kent, you've done it again... Just when I thought Wakonda was all I needed you've released Sure Bert. Nice lime-citrus bite on the intake, with all of the flavors on the exhale. I'm kicking myself for only getting 30ml. PLEASE make this one of the regulars? AMAZING flavor and wonderful clouds that even my wife enjoys the smell of. I'm adding you to my Christmas card list for this one!

After a run-around with USPS, Bert dropped today in my mailbox.

Device: VaporShark rDNA 30
Topper: Big Dripper V1 Dual Coil 0.7 28g
Watts: 25-30 (My sweet spot seems to be 26.0)
Nic: 6mg

This one is spot on. I get more of the citrus/lime combination as I turn the wattage up, but dropping it just a little bit brings in the other flavors and removes some of the tartness of the citrus (which was not overpowering to begin with). It got really smooth for me right around 26.0W. Exhaling through the nose brings out even more flavor from the juice. There is a nice creaminess/velvet type flavor that really blends the fruits together well. Great job Clark and Katy. This one is super-fine and PACKED with flavor. Well done!!!

Ron

There's nothing "subtle" about Sure Bert... nothing subtle about a big'ole waffle cone stuffed full of the real deal, either! Glad you are enjoying it 1FV!~

Tasting notes: This one pains me a bit.

As most of you know, I love all things Nicoticket. This one has me a bit floored but its not all bad. I decided to load this one in the HM to play with the wattage and see where I might go with the build. I was quite excited to taste this as I've always had a thing for anything related to ice cream or sherbet. So I opened the first bottle and gave it the sniff test. Oh my! The aroma was amazing, a lovely tropical fruity bouquet with plenty of citrus. So I proceeded to dive in and load up. I started off at 9 watts figuring to bump up from there and proceeded to take a long and slow lung hit. I wasn't ready for what had just transpired. The citrus was there all right but the flavor was overwhelmingly bitter. so much so that it about knocked me out of my chair. I found myself immediately reaching for the water canteen that I always keep on the desk. Somewhat confused I thought "wait this can't be right" and hit it again. Played with the wattage up and down, Same results. Hmm, are my taste buds heading south? So after scratching my head a bit, I thought maybe it was just a bad bottle and decided to crack open the second bottle. It was a bit sweeter but close to the same. I had read the others reviews and thought to myself "where's the creaminess" the others were talking about? It's almost as if I had just taken a couple of chunks of grapefruit and lime rind and decided to chew on them. Not being one to give up all that easy, I started looking for alternatives. I do have some other juices that I dip into from time to time and one of them is Alpha Sweet Tooth which I use when a juice just has to be sweetened up a bit. ( I've never had to use it for anything Nicoticket but I can tell you this, Its the bomb mixed with Strawberry Symphony in a dripper!) So. I then proceeded to flush and re-wick. This time I loaded up with Sweet Tooth And the drizzled the Sure Bert over the top of it. Oh my! There it was in all of its glory. A very nice sherbet with all different blends of citrus fruit flavor. I have since then drizzled it over Frenilla, Hummingbird, and Cheese Cake all with delicious results.

I have really struggled with posting this review and in fact was thinking about placing my first person to person call to Clark on Monday before doing so just to see what his thoughts may be but, I ultimately decided to share this with the family to see if anyone has had similar results. As Clark has always stated, "Taste is subjective" and in this case that certainly rings true. I am also wondering if maybe this was just a mistaken mix?

In closing, I would just like to say to Clark that, You know I have nothing but love for you and Katy & Crew and I hope that this doesn't offend you and any way however, at this point it is what it is.

Still loyal to a fault my brother! distorto out.......:)

Great write-up distorto! They can't *all* be home-runs for everyone - I actually like reading (and working through) some of the more discerning reviews just to see what people get. It's a super intense flavor - it might be sensory overload for you (first thoughts?)

DB, love the honest review. I think Clark and crew expect nothing less from the fam. Clark himself has never been shy about hating on the cookie, and it's one of my favorites when mixed with PBC so go figure. I can definitely relate to the, "what the heck just happened here" reaction to Bert. That lime kicked in for me and really knocked my socks off. After vaping and vaping and vaping some more I had to eventually admit I really liked having my socks knocked off. lol

Got Cookie - UGH - but the majority of people who try it, love it... just not my gig. LMAO

It's not a bad mixer with CLS/CB/Frenilla though, for me.

Very much pending feedback, but, there are more hits than misses. Bottles are still comparatively young though - as a general rule we'll circle the wagons after 6-8 weeks and see what the consensus is. As a group really need to give the bottles some time to steep out, especially for the folks who are getting really sharp citrus tones. Since it's MAXVG, it will probably be closer to 8 weeks since MAXVG vapes have a tendency to take longer to balance. I know where it lands, and we enjoy the hell out of it... BUT - no matter how good we think our palates are, it's people like you that will drive decisions (as it should be!). As the PBC Union - I was ready to 86 PBC, they kinda inspired me back to the board on it though.

I wouldn't so much say it missed as I have 100ml and am willing to trade it to someone who missed it. It's a good juice, but Refresh still gets my vote.

Cool. I am counting hits and misses for the new flavors - keeping an informal tally of sorts - always curious.

Hi Ho Silver! ( Sorry, Had to do it) I consider myself to have a fairly discerning palate as two of my passions happen to be cooking as well as consuming and collecting fine wines. LOL I hope that hi ho silver thing doesn't catch on! It seems as if we share many passions/hobbies. I also consider myself a connoisseur of fine foods. I've traveled around the world and have had eaten at the best restaurants (as well as many mom/pop hole in the wall shops which I consider to be my fav category). I have also passed my advanced somm exam about a decade or so ago. It's very interesting, because I have noticed very subtle changes to my taste buds. Nothing drastic. I seem to be much more sensitive to salt, oils, and spices. I wonder if I don't notice the bitterness because I am using it in a tank? Or maybe my buds have not recovered from the analogs? Or maybe I should try and drip it (but dripping 12 is too high for me).

distortoblotto, I see that your location says SF? I would be curious to know what some of your favorite restaurants are. I lived in the bay area for a decade or so. And I will say, the food up there is much better than the food down here in LA

Okay, I'm no world traveller nor have I taken any prestigious test but I do love my food from the snobbiest to the most down home. Good food, good beer, good wine, I love it all. That said I AM rather picky. I will tell you if I don't like something.

Sooooo the million dollar question then does Spooky like Sure Bert? I'm on a REO with an RM2 built to about 1.2 ohms, fresh battery. Right now I wouldn't say like because I'm getting a ton of lime peel, tons of lime peel. I do admire the intensity of the flavor, that's for sure. Pretty astounding if you've ever bit into lime peel (say perhaps you have a fondness of heavily limed vodka tonics) I can almost feel the zest between my teeth. I let it warm up a bit and tried it again and all bitter, all the time. Whew, intense. Gave it a little more time and wait, there's something else there, maybe some orange. Wait that IS sherbet! Okay, it's going to be something I'm probably not going to hit heavy FOOB but that's okay, what was revealed right there at the end makes me think I can hang on to this one for a while (maybe a long while). The promise in those couple of hits was enough to put it in the steep box rather than in the trade box.

Interesting though, I had this same intense reaction to The Switch with LOTS of bitter. Is it me or is something else different?

Come on Pumpkin Cheesecake! LOL
