Steep time. From the mail box to the device.

Atty: Magma.... duals built to 0.8 ohms ( fresh Cotton Bacon wick)

Device: Hana V3

Tasting notes: This one pains me a bit.

As most of you know, I love all things Nicoticket. This one has me a bit floored but its not all bad. I decided to load this one in the HM to play with the wattage and see where I might go with the build. I was quite excited to taste this as I've always had a thing for anything related to ice cream or sherbet. So I opened the first bottle and gave it the sniff test. Oh my! The aroma was amazing, a lovely tropical fruity bouquet with plenty of citrus. So I proceeded to dive in and load up. I started off at 9 watts figuring to bump up from there and proceeded to take a long and slow lung hit. I wasn't ready for what had just transpired. The citrus was there all right but the flavor was overwhelmingly bitter. so much so that it about knocked me out of my chair. I found myself immediately reaching for the water canteen that I always keep on the desk. Somewhat confused I thought "wait this can't be right" and hit it again. Played with the wattage up and down, Same results. Hmm, are my taste buds heading south? So after scratching my head a bit, I thought maybe it was just a bad bottle and decided to crack open the second bottle. It was a bit sweeter but close to the same. I had read the others reviews and thought to myself "where's the creaminess" the others were talking about? It's almost as if I had just taken a couple of chunks of grapefruit and lime rind and decided to chew on them. Not being one to give up all that easy, I started looking for alternatives. I do have some other juices that I dip into from time to time and one of them is Alpha Sweet Tooth which I use when a juice just has to be sweetened up a bit. ( I've never had to use it for anything Nicoticket but I can tell you this, Its the bomb mixed with Strawberry Symphony in a dripper!) So. I then proceeded to flush and re-wick. This time I loaded up with Sweet Tooth And the drizzled the Sure Bert over the top of it. Oh my! There it was in all of its glory. A very nice sherbet with all different blends of citrus fruit flavor. I have since then drizzled it over Frenilla, Hummingbird, and Cheese Cake all with delicious results.

I have really struggled with posting this review and in fact was thinking about placing my first person to person call to Clark on Monday before doing so just to see what his thoughts may be but, I ultimately decided to share this with the family to see if anyone has had similar results. As Clark has always stated, "Taste is subjective" and in this case that certainly rings true. I am also wondering if maybe this was just a mistaken mix?

In closing, I would just like to say to Clark that, You know I have nothing but love for you and Katy & Crew and I hope that this doesn't offend you and any way however, at this point it is what it is.

Still loyal to a fault my brother! distorto out.......:)

Good write up Distorto.

I'd be curious of your results once oxidized and steeped...

Cool. I am counting hits and misses for the new flavors - keeping an informal tally of sorts - always curious.

Consider me a hit. I had to hide my bottle so that it would last long enough to steep, and in order to wait for it to come back. I need to start buying 30ml sample sizes... the 15ml "wallet saver" option just isn't working.

After it's long journey, the initial introduction I got was the lovely smell of rainbow sherbet as I opened the package around an hour ago! :)

First thing I did was what I always do: try a drop on the back of my hand! Oh boy, did my tongue protest!
Intensely bitter and sharp - like I imagine pure concentrated extract of lemon, lime & grapefruit peel would taste, but I did get a hint of something like an intense lemon oil.
I gratefully ate my cherry Zotz! :thumb:

Then into a mini PT2 with Spinner ll.
First couple of seconds I know it's fruit: lime then lemon citrus uppermost, but perhaps with pineapple hiding underneath. The second it hits the back of my mouth it's pretty bitter - almost acrid rather than tart, again with that concentrated citrus extract, but as it begins to get into my nose, it's a bitter citrus pepper!
On the final stage of exhale, there's a light sweetness there, and on my mouth afterwards, I can taste a light creamy fruit flavour that most definitely has a variety of fruits incorporated.

I moved the tank to an MVP2 and tried it all the way up through the levels from the 7.5 it was set at to 11. For me it got worse. Put it down to 6.5W and it got considerably smoother: more fruit & creaminess, less bitterness.
I feel the urge to put something like CB in it, but not sure that it would eliminate the bitter taste - perhaps I'll just continue trying it as it is with the MVP and at varying levels, and see how it goes in the coming couple of weeks.
I do have a sweet cream flavouring that could perhaps make a difference for the time being - don't know, and perhaps I'd prefer to see how it goes by itself.

If it continues to level out (and I suspect it will do) it'll be extremely nice!

...and it does keep drawing me back to taste a bit more, so that's interesting! As I've been writing this it's become smoother again ...perhaps the warmth from the coil is sort of 'steeping out' that harsher aspect and replacing it with a gentle, slightly creamy sweetness - and a hint of coolness? ...starting to make me smile somehow! :2cool:

Think I'll fill the tank up......

I really am not getting the bitterness but there is definitely citrus in this liquid. I really like this liquid and think it will mature well over time. I say this because the flavor profile of the juice really changed when I loaded it up my Pontus. I built a dual coil at one ohm and tossed it on my IStick, cool little PV. I took a couple pulls just to get the tank warm (almost hot) and set it down for a couple hours.

The heat from the tank turned the liquid a nice amber color and boy did the pineapple move to the front. I still get the lime, which I love but it was more subtle and overall the liquid got sweeter and the creaminess really stepped up. So i would say a little heat really changed the flavor profile of this liquid and if this is any indication of where it's going to go it will end up being outstanding.

And for what it's worth I did tne same thing in my Viking and moved to the Pontus just to have more liquid once it heat steeped.

OK, CLS it is! Thanks.

Also, did you try Frenilla in it? ...I could try a small amount of that.

I haven't. Been conserving my frenilla lately till I order more. My current bottle is steeping since May. Thanks for the reminder though, I'll have to tack some on to my next order!

It's surprising how much better mine is just in the 2 hours since it arrived and got put into a tank - and I filled it up jus less than an hour ago. I don't get pepper in my nose now, and it doesn't make my tongue try to run away ...citrus fruit is on top, but definitely a creamy pineapple type taste emerging.

I've had a few yucky dry hits with this mPT2, so will transfer over to a fresh MOW soon. Could taste different again ..things are usually good in those :)

My bottle is one I bought last April/May, and from the UK supplier, so likely very well steeped!
I can only use a little in with other things that are max VG, so it goes a long way for me :)
I do have another small bottle sat ready!

EHPro 3ml tank with a dripper underneath, pump the drip tip to get juice into the dripper. The reviews we mixed but I found one cheap and gave it a try. Works real well for me, similar to the Big Dripper.

This got me intrigued, then I looked at the prices...

Very much pending feedback, but, there are more hits than misses. Bottles are still comparatively young though - as a general rule we'll circle the wagons after 6-8 weeks and see what the consensus is. As a group really need to give the bottles some time to steep out, especially for the folks who are getting really sharp citrus tones. Since it's MAXVG, it will probably be closer to 8 weeks since MAXVG vapes have a tendency to take longer to balance. I know where it lands, and we enjoy the hell out of it... BUT - no matter how good we think our palates are, it's people like you that will drive decisions (as it should be!). As the PBC Union - I was ready to 86 PBC, they kinda inspired me back to the board on it though.

I'll do my best to let it steep for 8, but I'm loving it fresh. I like the citrus kick, and haven't had any displeasure at 6 mg. I should note, that this juice pairs well with a Mountain Dew. :p

I'm 10ml through my 15ml micro sample. I re-wicked tonight and sat there for a minute thinking about what else I could throw on that fresh wick. Then proceeded to soak the fresh wick with Bert. I might like it steeped too, but even with a 50ml on the way I don't think I'm really going to find out. lol.

So I decided to put the bert into my nautilus mini with the 1.6 bvc just to see if it could handle the max vg. And I definitely do get a slight bitterness. It's similar to the bitterness of an orange peel. I should note that it did partially melt my middle tank portion of my kfl. Maybe melt is the wrong word? It fogged it up. Just a warning, as all citrus's can do this. This wouldnt have happened if I hadn't misplaced one of burt tanks.............

Today I am totally SOLD on Bert ...he's my new pal!

First thing I involuntarily picked up this morning, and overnight, what was in the tank had developed some very nice flavours!
I get lots of all manner of citrus on the inhale, getting the peel zest and sherbet as it hit's my throat, and then, on the exhale I find other fruits starting to emerge ...not too sure what apart from there's some pineapple in there, plus a creaminess, and at times ....am I imagining it? ... little gummy bears: orange, yellow & green ones!

Leaves a lovely fruit & creaminess after taste - quite a lovely contrast.
I'm glad I got two bottles, because no way is this first one going in a little dark drawer! I'll keep using it and seeing how it matures, while the other one can sit and 'do it's thing' at leisure :)

I have no idea how it will develop, nor how it will vary with different tanks & power settings, but it'll be interesting to find out.

This one is a bit of an adventure in flavours for now, and it makes me smile - thanks Clark! :)
