Hmm, don't have a Dremel. Dremel what?

And there is such a tiny little space on the deck, underneath the top cap, to grab onto.. seriously how is anybody suppose to grip there to unscrew the cap? I have to grip with my nails and it's still nearly impossible. Not liking the screw-once cap

Regretting this buy
You dremel the sides of the insulator to give you more space to fit your coils in there. I can take a pic of what it looks like when i get home later if you'd like to see? Sometimes i have a problem getting the screw on drip well off but what i do is put it on my ohm meter and screw it on tight then i screw the drip well off. Plus i noticed the harder you try to get it off the harder it is, ive even had to use needle nose pliers before, those grips or nubs on the side to help you get it off really dont do it any justice.

I just got my Hobo V2 - Mine is the sub-ohm edition from VaporDNA.com

I do complex builds all the time, normally doing 3 to 6 coil builds in my Stillare V3, or my Onslaught RDA, so building on a device like the HOBO is a breeze.

I did a very simple, .4ohm build, 8 wraps around a .3mm drill bit using 26g G-Plat, organic Koh Gen Do cotton pads. Wicking is phenomenal, the build deck is great, I love the grub screws, everything about this RDA i freaking love. One one gripe with the Cartel Stillare V3 was that its shallow juice well and the position of the airholes gives you a leaky RDA frequently.

I was hoping to get away from that with the HOBO, deep juice wells and awesome air flow is what I look for in an RDA.

I know my build is perfect, I use ceramic tweezers, my coils are about as neat as you can get them. I also have them set up as Vertical coils, so the wicks drink up the juice quickly. However, two builds in - I get the same exact plastic taste. I can't figure out what it is. I may go back and read all 39 pages to this thread and try to figure it out. Like one of the posters on ECF said, I think mine has something to do with the plastic insulator... it's a very odd shape, and almost looks like its crooked - ill post pics

Youtube search "hobo v2 build" - that exact search phrase, you'll see a 10+ minute video:

He gives a good tip, screw the cap in jusssst until it's slightly tight. You don't want to screw it in super tight, the O-rings will keep the juice from leaking out. Try just barely screwing it on tight, I leave mine semi-loose actually, that way it's super easy to pull off and unscrew.

A deep juice well is crucial when running resistances in the .11 - .3 range - you fly through juice... im digging the fact I don't have to drip 10 drips on every hit like I used to.

Im the one who brought up that plastic taste lol but ive since then figured it out. After talking to Hoberto i realized there were actually metal shavings shoved up inside of my stainless steel block. Which was weird cause i always break my stuff down and toss it into a ultrasonic cleaner. The other thing was i noticed the bottom of my drip tip had touched the coils and i mostly only use delrin drip tips, so between all that thats where my personal plastic taste was coming from.

Ok so here is the pic for those interested. The far left insulator is the v2 its round, the middle is the v2.1 and it comes shaved like this, and the right is the one i dremeled/shaved myself just to see how it would come out, i went in a tad too far but hey it still works lol. Hope this helps!

Hmm I also forgot to rinse the thing off before use, so maybe that could have to do with the taste. Really think the coils were too close to that high insulator though, I'll try shaving it down some and moving them further/closer to the airholes next time.
.... Haven't really messed with it since I put together my Billow tank though - my 1st RTA and the thing is amazing!

Edit: really hope I didn't mess up my Hobo though when I tried to yank off the top cap (that was screwed down), or burn the insulator. Somebody just enlightened me in my Hobo thread, that the top-cap does come off of screw-on part.
I can finally use the airflow if I can get that cap off!! lol

I want the billow myself but was too late to the party and they sold out lol.

It's the best tank I ever used. I vape it when I'm out and about and usually drip at home. It won't replace my rda's but it's awesome for what it is. The flavor can be some what muted, cloud production very good and it seems to be virtually leak proof. I hope you like it.

I haven't tried the billow, as I've got the fogger and orchid, and frankly, am over dual coil builds in a tank. So I picked up the Eleaf Lemo. running a single twisted 28ga 3/32 coil at 1.0ohm on my ipv2, and it's the best vape I've gotten from a tank. No leaks, Easy to fill, super easy to build, and has really nice airflow.
