I actually just got an 8' piece of this from this company today. It cost a total of $14.43, including shipping. It came UPS in an 8' long box, LOL. This is the standard size tubing for most of the tank mods sold. I got it to have a supply of tank tubes for my liquinators.

These will not fit with the black syringe ends. It is also prone to cracking from certain juices containing certain ingredients in e liquids like cinnamon, sour flavors, etc. I will use my 20ml syringe tank mods for those flavors, and use my liquinators for my other je liquids.

I think I read somewhere that they may have done something to make the new clearo tubes better, not sure because I don't use them.

Also good to know that clearos have the same problem. Definitely going to make sure I hold on to old tubes, just in case I'm ever in doubt about putting something in the tank.

The liquinator tank tube is 5/8"ID and 3/4"OD. The 20ml syringe I have now is slightly larger than 5/8"ID. I have ordered some, and I will measure them when they get here.

They have a bunch of different sizes. The one I linked is the 1/2" inner diameter, which I was thinking would fit the syringe ends, but haven't tried it. Isn't the liquinator tube larger?

I thought the flavors cracking tanks was just a myth, but just found your other thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-juices-flavors-crack-tanks-cesd-clearos.html News to me, and very good to know!

I make one but only use one plunger as a gasket on top at the bottom of the carto I cut off the luerlock (the end the needle attaches too) and ream it out just big enough to slip the bottom of the carto through and superglue it in place. it's very sturdy and I havent had any leaks at all. You just pull the top gasket off to refill. It's a hybrid of a couple of these I've seen posted.

They've changed what they're making them out of, so now they're a thicker plastic that has a frosted look. They're not really "clear"omizers anymore either, though. I can't even see into the black ones without holding it up to the light.

I think the new tubes are made of polyethylene, also labeled LDPE. Polyethylene has this frosty look, and is softer, but is much more chemical resistant. The syringe tanks hold up really well to any type of juice. Also if you make the holes in the rubber stoppers fairly snug, they will squeeze the cartomizer/clearomizer with enough force to prevent any leaking, and they seem to be rather pocket friendly. The rubber stoppers have a little give for those rough occasions, but it isn't wobbly.

Using polycarbonate gives a nice clear look to your tank, but you will need to be careful about your liquids, and you will of course need to have spare plastic tubes. Unfortunately, so far I can only locate the polyethylene materials in a coil or roll, and not in straight tubes. Sometimes makes it rough to make a perfectly straight tube if you have to get it from a roll. That's where using the syringes for the plastic works so well.

I used my dremel with a cutting wheel, you could use a hacksaw I suppose, just clean up the edges with a razor, some sandpaper, or of course I used my nail files from my manicurist days........
:vapor:no, seriously

Now I'm working on a varied edition of shanb's only using 1 plunger end, will post pics later!

I just held the dremel still and rotated the syringe, was a little wonky, but then I set the end of the syringe on top of the wheel to even the majority of it out.

It also helps to give your self a little overage, that way if you have to even it up your not taking additional off

Why is this reminding me of the Christmas tree my dad once tried to even up...........you don't want to know, end result was buying a new tree.....lol

You could cut it with a utility knife. The kind with a real razor, not the snap-off blades... Just press it down onto a cutting board or other hard surface. And of course, the usual fine print of "make sure there are never any body parts on the other side of the blade when applying pressure to a razor". :)

The dremel is like an electric swiss army knife. I don't know what half of the things on are actually supposed to be used for, but dammit I'm going to find something. :)

The video specifically says you need the thicker end pieces. Not to be a downer, but I really don't think you'll have much success with the thinner ones. Even if it "seemed" to work, you'd never really have confidence in it. You can get the 20ml syringes at Tractor Supply Warehouse if you have one near you for $1.29 each.

the 20ml syringes i get on have the thinner end pieces, i made one with them. it held water over night, i just haven't had the guts to fill it with eliquid yet.
still have to dig my dremmel out as well.

any one successfully use the thinner end caps ??

different brand syringes have different plungers. if you have one with the bigger hole use a short piece of 1/4" plastic tubing (you will have to check the size i dont rember what i got) then fit a small ring of this tube inside the larger hole in the plunger will seal it to the carto.
if you hold it so the holes in the carto are at the top (above the juice) while filling it wont force juice into the carto.
i make these with 10 and 20 ml they work great.
you can fill it with any kind of syringe you can get in there - pointed right through the cap or blunt down the edge
or add a fill screw because its just a diy version of a Gummy Tank - feel free to look it up lol
oh if you take it from nice cool ac into hot outside it will usually start gurgling lol
