I'm not quite understanding what you're saying, can't picture it. Is this a fix for the 20ml syringes with the thinner rubber plunger cap.

different brand syringes have different plungers. if you have one with the bigger hole use a short piece of 1/4" plastic tubing (you will have to check the size i dont rember what i got) then fit a small ring of this tube inside the larger hole in the plunger will seal it to the carto.
if you hold it so the holes in the carto are at the top (above the juice) while filling it wont force juice into the carto.
i make these with 10 and 20 ml they work great.
you can fill it with any kind of syringe you can get in there - pointed right through the cap or blunt down the edge
or add a fill screw because its just a diy version of a Gummy tank - feel free to look it up lol
oh if you take it from nice cool ac into hot outside it will usually start gurgling lol

sorry i hadnt seen the vid my browser not working right. no i didnt realize which plungers he had. sme are like that with 2 ridges and some are better with 3 ridges. the brands i have tried the rubbers were all the same thickness but some had 2 ridges like in the vid and others had 3. both should work equily well. the problem i found is that some syringes when you take the rubber off the plunger there is a bigger opening than a carto and they dont come out solid when you make a tank. if you get a piece of tubing 1/4" id by like 3/8 od it will fill in this space and make the tank solid when assembled.
also for cutting the syringe i do this - i drll through the luer lock part with a 11/32 drill bit. i leave the syringe on the bit after it goes through and let it spin. i make sure it is spinning stright and then use the piont of a sharp exacto knife against where you want to cut it. a little practice and you can get nice straight cuts every time.
as a bonus drilling out the luer lock with 11/32 makes it fit exactly on the base of a clear ce2. put piece of the clearo tube in the plunger to hold the ce2 fill cap and dt and your good to go.

One thing I have noticed with these DIY tanks is when you fill them up multiple times with a syringe, you end up with little pieces of the black rubber floating in the tank. Which is not good if they get sucked up in the punched hole in the carto.

I want to try a fill port in one of mine and see how it holds up. Anyone have a suggestion of where to start or how I would go about doing it?

Gummy uses a ss 4/40 machine screw but i dont know if it will work on the thinner syringe tubing. i have not tried that yet but you just drill a little hole and screw in the screw - it will make its own threads in the hole. and ive not noticed any problems from rubber flecks. any should get caught in the filler before they can get to the coils or do any damage

I was wondering if something like this: VIAL STOPPERS SERUM VIAL STOPPERS (scroll down to this picture: VIAL STOPPERS SERUM VIAL STOPPERS). It's a 13 mm vial stopper.

Would work as a stopper for a tank fill hole?

It's got a little ridge underneath the flange, not sure if you can see it in the picture. You could drill a hole in the plastic and use something like that as a stopper. We used to get little vials with this sort of stopper in the lab all the time. I wish I'd pocketed a few.

I'd never tried dual cartos and I'd never tried a tank. I usually use bottom feeders or drip. I needed to provide a trouble free vape for a relative that is staying with us recovering from surgery. So, I decided to try two things at once. I ordered some dual coil cartos and modded then with a 20 ml syringe tank. I used a punch and a hammer to make the holes so no shavings in the carto. I just did this a few hours ago but, so far my tank is working well. Not as good a taste as my bottom feeders but, not bad at all and it's certainly trouble free.

I got a few bottom feeders and a few tube mods, the tube mods didn't get much use after a few bottom feeders, then boom!carto tanks started popping up like dandelions. My P18,prodigy v3.1 and empire get a bunch more use now.carto's don't quite have the flavor of a good atomiser, but its purty close and the convenience and consistancy make up for slightly muted flavor. No bottles to squeeze,no atomiser to flood from overzealous feeding.Tanks have ALMOST converted a 2ohm 510 atomiser fan.

Yeah, I've been all over the board. I have a thread out there somewhere about dumping a ton of money into any and everything that was supposed to be better, but unfortunately was still in the phase where the ego-T was as far from "something looks like a cigarette" as I was willing to go. I figured I pick up one of the cheap 3ml ones and give it a go. I'm now carrying a frown even when using the same carto as is in the tank. It hits great right out of the box and stays that way the whole time. I haven't tried them, but my guess is that I would still prefer this even to the super-mega-doubles-as-a-baseball-bat carts out there that hold roughly the same amount. It's still a matter of diminishing return on the saturation of the filler, which I believe the lack thereof has been what has made me so happy with a tank.

'Course, now that I have this big thing on top of a riva/ego-t (not really that big in the 3ml version), I just pushed myself over the precipice of, "I might as well get a proper tube mod to attach to it." Think I'll be happy with my SB once it arrives, though. :)

Little off topic but, if you want to get some more use from those tube mods with an atomizer, get a DOD from madvapes. It looks funky and it really doesn't auto feed well as advertised but, it's great for no aim dripping. Just give the bottle a little squeeze. Sort of like a much cheaper vapemate.

I already got a solution for that

Made one today....Used Ideal 20ml syringes from Tractor Supply. Worked great at first. Let it sit for about 3 hours and now juice tastes like rubber really bad.
I wonder if it would help any to wash it real good before you use the rubber pieces or will it keep tasting like rubber. Maybe others can answer this question.
