Thanx for the link! Sending them a quote request...
OK, I'm sure we could get a bunch of people to chip in moneys if the minimum requirement was too high. I know I would.
Please let us know what they say.

One ring is all you really need to seal. You only need the second ring to keep it in alignment.
Was hoping this could be a group effort! I'll keep ya'll posted as to their response.

One ring to bind them all.

I too would be interested, + the tip protectors.
Yes, I requested a quote for the tip protectors also. Those look about right for fill plugs... if they're not too long and hit the carto. The 3ml plunger almost touches mine.
You could probably trim them, couldn't you?
Never mind. I was thinking of the wrong thing. Trimming them wouldn't work unless they were solid.
You could always put a dab of silicone in the hole to seal it.
I watched that video for the first time lol. It was so self explanatory, I never really watched any videos, except for how to tint the tanks. Seems that we've evolved quite a bit since that video was made. With the finding of the saddle valve to punch holes, carto cuts are no longer needed to get juice in. Since somebody started using filler holes, we don't need to use syringes to fill them. And one thing I've noticed, but haven't seen it mentioned, is that with a long enough drip tip, you can make the tank as long as the carto. I use the cheapo plastic tip that came with my C.C.V. boge carto order and it's plenty long enough. So I don't have to leave any extra carto sticking out the top end to keep my mouth from hitting the tank. Also gives me more volume inside the tank. Just some things in the video that could be updated if anybody were interested. I've mentioned to others that I was going to make this video or that, but I haven't gotten around to it just yet. Maybe somebody with a better camera personality can do better than I would![]()
For all that you might as well use a white carto plug thingamabob.
It would be great to have a new 'how to' with all that has been learned (with credit to the OP). 100 pages is a lot to read through!
Funny ya mention that. This 'project' has really taken off with so many valuable suggestions. I thought it be great to condense the actual building inputs into a 'how to' without the 'clutter'. That's not saying any input is without value... but it is quite lengthy with the comments, as opposed to 'da proven steps'.
The thread move, that disappeared for a couple of days, did put me in a slight panic, due to my interest and success. I'd be glad to try and condense the pertinent data, only if no one would feel sighted if I miss a few. This IS too much fun to discourage folk because of the thread's length.
Whatcha ya'll think...?
What kind of belt hole puncher are you using? The one I have is like a large pair of pliers and has a wheel with 6 different sized punches on it, It works great for a small hole in the tank and I put a piece of masking tape on the flat anvil part and it seems to cut out a little more complete, I use the smallest hole size. What do you use for a stopper??I put a small fill hole in my tank (make it with a belt hole puncher), and I do usually fill with a blunt end needle. I've found that I can fill it from the top though, by doing the following:
Take a bottom '.... plug' condom and trim it down so there are no sides, just the bottom and the plug.
Stick the plug in the bottom hole of the carto and stand the tank up on the battery end.
Remove the small 'fill hole' plug (I make my fill hole right at the top of the tank for this reason).
Take the cap or drip tip off of your carto/tank and drip juice into the filler.
With the bottom battery hole stopped, and the fill hole open, liquid should soak through the filler, out the holes/slots in the carto, and into the tank. If you don't some sort of way for air to leave the tank (small fill hole) the liquid won't go into the tank it will just sit in the filler.
Once the tank is full, put the fill hole stopper in (very important to do this first or you will have massive leakage). Let it sit for a few, then remove the bottom '.... plug' and let your tank drip into another bottle or hold it over a sink or tissue. A few drops should drip out and then the pressure or vacuum (or whatever) should kick in, and it will stop dripping. Blow the rest out and clean off the battery end before you put it on your batt.
This probably doesn't help anyone but me, since everyone else seems to be using a larger fill hole, but I thought I'd post it anyway![]()
Go for it, I think that would be nice to have a updated thread, don't forget to give the OP his credit due. I also was in a panic when the thread disappeared I sent my4jewels a PM but she was away from home and not on a computer. If you do this are you thinking of starting a new post??Funny ya mention that. This 'project' has really taken off with so many valuable suggestions.
