I just found this and I can't believe it. Is this for real??? BFC Cartomizer Standard - $5.00 : DFWvapor.com, The Best US E-Liquid Made! It says 6 dollars to ship also...[/QUOTE

I don't know 'ricks'. What's too good to be true usually isn't. It doesn't say 'tank' in the advert, just cartomizer. Could that be 5 bucks just for a carto with the end flange on it? Me wonders - the advert also says 'use it, love it, dispose of it.' tanks aren't disposable, cartos yes, tanks no.

IMHO, that's not gonna happen from one of the big companies. It'd put them out of business. They depend on things being disposable, so we have to keep buying more.
Maybe someday someone will invent the permanent carto, where you don't have to change them for 6 months at a time :) Ya think????

I got my Smoktech tank a couple days ago. I cut it down because I don't care for dual coils. It works as well as any others. To be perfectly honest, all of the tank mods work just as well for vaping. Some are prettier.

There are a couple of reasons I'm not crazy about this tank. This one's really tight doing a "hot switch" of cartos, almost impossibly tight. And I'm not crazy about refilling it either. My liquinators have spoiled me. I think that I will stick with them unless I have a juice that may crack a tank, then use my syringe tanks for those juices. I also have an 8" length of polycarbonate tubing, so, if I do crack a tank, I'll just cut a new one.

What are the dimensions of the tubing you have? and where did you get it?

Yes to Ebay for better price - just came back from Ebay, found the same offer you did and bought one.

Ebay - Self Tapping Saddle Valve

The saddle tap came in and I gave it a try. Pretty convenient to use and does a nice job.

For ~$6, including shipping this is what you get.

The spacer is just the right size for a standard size carto.

To use it, I first align the point of the the spike just to the opening of the hole it goes through. This gives me a consistent starting point for turning the screw.

Then I place the spacer and carto into place and tighten the nut on the bottom of the device until the carto is snug to the rubber washer around the point of the spike. If its not snug enough it will slip when turning the screw. For my tank aligning the end of the carto threaded end with the end of the spacer / tap punches the hole in just the right spot.

3 1/2 turns creates a normal size hole

2 1/2 turns creates a smaller hole (which I tend to like better)

The end result a nicely punched hole at the correct position.

Just for information, I got 6 days out of my single coil carto in the syringe tank. I ran about 20 and maybe 25 through it. THEN the draw tightened and started getting a burned taste and not much vapor. That's 6 day of all day vaping, every day on the same cartomizer. I am happy with this because it had great amounts of vapor the whole 6 days. Out of the tank I would be lucky to get 2 to 3 days. Lets see $2.00 divided by 6=.33cents a day, pretty cheap. I have had some last longer like maybe 7 to 10 days. Love the tanks

I love that about the tanks as well. My DCC's usually last anywhere from 5 - 10 days depending on the juice I use, and with one juice I'm still going strong after 2 weeks in a single coil. Loving these things!

Kinda quiet in here lately, not much new going on in the tank world I guess. After trying the syringe tanks, ghetto tanks(6ml bottle), and Chibi tanks, I have settled on the Ghetto for my Resurrector cartos, and the Chibi for the shorty cartos. For the ST, and Boge cartos, I use one hole, punched out to the largest dia. that the saddle valve will make. I have not had one flood yet, and they wick just fine, and I use a 70/30 mix. I use a syringe to fill both types of tanks. With the Chibi I insert the syringe carefully between the tank and the rubber seals, and fill slowly, to allow the air to be displaced so as to not flood the carto.
Happy tanks everyone, and have a fantastik Thanksgiving, and shopping, if your so inclined. :):)
