About longer tanks.

I used a cut cylinder from a 2 ml syringe to make my carto longer. Some issues here to be mentioned. One is I had to heat the 2ml syringe piece in order to put it over the carto - worked very well. Second - the upper plunger won't fit, it needs to have a bit wider hole than the one made with carto punch because the 2ml syringe tube is wider than carto. My plungers are soft and I just roughly widened the hole a bit with model knife and they still fit well without leaking.
Drip tips with brand new o-rings didn't fit on top but those that a lil worn off did :)

Important note: I am using syringes different than shown above, I don't live in the US. Still I wanted to share :p you can figure it out with your own supplies if you go that way.

I wasn't able to find any 20ml syringes but I had 2 B&D 10ml syringes and used them to make the smaller version for a CE2 Fluxomizer with the better tubes. I have all the tools to do it. I used a 10mm deep socket inside the syringe body and used a tubing cutter to size. Drilled the Fluxomizer with two 3/16" holes. Used a 808 carto to punch the holes through the seals. Took me 5 minutes to make the whole set up. I use Vortex 2 mouthpieces on my Fluxomizers so I don't have to carry a bent paper clip. Pop off the mouthpiece, fill through the top, cap & go. I had some oil from the tube cutter get on the syringe while cutting it and the lettering was pretty much removed while cutting the tube. Rubbed the rest off with my fingers. I so want my ProVari to come in right now.

Update: After a little further examination, the swell at the ends of the Fluxomizer tubes (threaded & mouthpiece ends) adds more grip force for the syringe seals since they are being squeezed towards the center of the Fluxomizer body when fully assembled. Also, I used to get some over wicking if they are left horizontal for too long. I had this problem with the CE2 since the juice tends to get wicked if you don't keep it vertical. I haven't noticed this for the last few draws I've taken. This is an excellent mod! I can pull out the innards clean & dry burn, flush the body out and be ready to go in no time. I'm gonna to give my buddy at the pharmacy a call and see if he has some 20ml syringes I can get.

Ok, I made another tank and I used a cart that has a bottom horizontal coil. I put the bottom rubber and cart on the tank and when I filled it, it just drained out the hole in the bottom of the cart. I put the smallest of a slit in the cart and I cant figure out what went wrong. I tried another one and the same thing happened. The slits were not deep. When I use Boges, Im good and dry. ????? Anyone have an experience with these?

this sounds interesting.

Sure, please find some lame hurry pictures below :)

Nailses take on the easy syringe tank mod

1. 5 ml syringe with rubber plunger tips and 2 ml syringe:

2. Syringes - cut not very good with a model knife, rubbers and a naked Boge LR carto:

3. Punched rubber tips, I am using a carto with sharpened edge, punches with only one stroke:

4. Widened the upper rubber hole, not very clear but I put the picture anyway :p

5. The smaller syringe tube must be cleaned of the graduation marks or they will dissolve into your first tank contents adding a secret ingredient to it. This one I wrapped in a tissue soaked with some bad juice and left some hours, then gently scratched the marks off.
In the meantime I decided to shorten the rubber tips a bit. Now they look worse :)

6. Carto is punched and smaller syringe cylinder fit on it.
My carto won't do it just so. I am heating shortly the end of the cylinder with a lighter and stuck the carto in fast. If you overheat the cylinder the plastic will darken and/or melt.

7. Thanks to Spazmelda for the fill hole idea!

8. Fitting bottom rubber. My rubber tips are soft and deform a little when fit inside:

9. Fitting upper rubber.
Added a tiny bolt for the fill hole:

10. Cutting the excess piece of the small cylinder. It may be done earlier of course:

11. A drip tip, Inawera's Tobacco C and the tank is perched on the closest Ego battery. Some other pups for company too. This little tank holds about 2.5 ml of liquid.

Cheers!

Afterthoughts.
1. The small syringe tube accumulates some condensation. This has not been a problem for me so far but worth considering.
2. It sits a little ugly on an Ego battery but my performance of the mod is ugly as well :p
3. The small syringes turned out slightly different in diameter. On the first one I had to use a drip tip with a worn off o-ring, a new one wouldn't fit. This last one is a little wider and same drip tip sits lose.

Did you fill them while the tank while it was on it's side? I'm using horizontal coils and sometimes they are leaking right at first. It seems like they have to have enough time for the filler to get saturated or they will leak. You might also try trimming the sleeve part off of a '.... plug' condom, and just stick the plug part in the hole while you fill. Fill, leave the carto on it's side for a while checking to see that the juice is actually wicking into the filler. Then let it sit and soak for a while (10 minutes or more) before removing the plug. Maybe that would help. I don't know...

Im filling it with the top rubber piece off and sitting on a table. I will try the "but plug" thing with your other sugestions and let you know. Thanks

I added a little bling to mine. It's just a Swarovski crystal. Probably not a look a man would enjoy, but I like it. :)...

Nice! Blingy! Like blingies :)
Was thinking along making the tube fancier. I like the tech look the graduation marks and the screw give to the tanks but I want them all different.

Thumbs up, gman1000, the multiple holes and explanations :toast:
