Coming off of 2
moments:
1st: Wanted to make an 808 tank for my new puck. Go grab my syringes.....uh.....I put em in a safe place.....where was that "safe place" again? Seriously-30 minutes of freaking out thinking I must have thrown them away by accident before I located the "safe place". Idiot!
2nd: So I finally get started making the new tank. Pulling the rubber tip off the plunger and I start thinking, these things are piling up-there's got to be a use for em in something. Another Doh! moment-why didn't I notice this before?
Don't those look like nice little plugs? Off they come....
And in they go:
So the ones in the photo are from 10ml and 3ml excel syringe plungers. The 10ml one fit tight in the 1/8th hole I had punched for the earring rubber. Obviously the 3ml would need a smaller hole. I have no idea what size though. Now these stick out further than the earring rubbers do. For that reason I prefer the rubbers. But hey, if you don't want to have to buy yet another thing, and you have a workable plunger laying around, why not give it a try. Note that the 20ml excel plungers (at least the ones I have) have a different tip on them that is not suitable.
