I got mine last night. (Thank you, Wayne )
The draw seems a tad stiff...anyone else notice this? Do I need to have Wayne drill it?

Just received a hornet from the corevape coop. It is a pita to install a coil vs the reomizer since the posts on the hornet are so close together. Took 3 tries to get a coil installed. As stated previously the draw is tighter than the reomizer. I actually prefer the reomizer since the top cap screws on, rather just a push fit with orings.

Got my Hornet yesterday from Corevape and I love it been vapin it all day on my Mini!!!! Draw was tight just like the ERA so I drilled mine out immediately to 1/16"(and since the 1 I got is aluminum it was super easy to drill) wrapped 8 tight coils of 32awg around a toothpick then pulled a double folded piece of what I believe is 1mm silica through it wound up with about 2.6-2.7ohm running 6v its a little hot but LOVING it!!!
Here's a shot of it on 1 of my workhorses :)

Now only problem I have is I need at least 1 more then after my Surface rba gets here I will be fully RBA equipped:vapor:

Finally got the hang of building coils on the hornet (coils must be spaced closer together to account for the posts being closer together) and now the flavor and vapor match the reomizer. Don't mind the tight draw anymore. In fact, I'd prefer a draw that's a middle ground between the hornet and reomizer. Also wanted to mention I was initially using cotton gauze for wick and it was burning up after a few days of use. Switched to CVS rolled cotton and the wick shows no signs of scorching after 2 days of use.

I'm building first coil for hornet in few minutes. If it draws like ERA, its big brother, then it may be a little tight for some. It is perfect for me. ERA is tighter than A7, Reomizer, and Vision Eternity. All three of those are too loose to me but not for other people.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

So it seems that someone posted how to "un-torch" one of the ERA's, I got another Hornet today for Christmas so now I have 2 but neither look so good on my tumbled mini. I would like to take it back to its SS grandeur. So if someone can post how to do that I would appreciate it greatly!

OR you could just send it to me:laugh:

Got back from the in-laws...during my drive I had all kinds of great ideas. One of them was to use Scotch-Brite on my Hornet finish to see if the torching would come off. Once I was unpacked, I went to town on it. Low and behold, it wasn't 5 minutes and I have a brand new looking silver Hornet cap!!! It worked and looks awesome!!! No need for a trade now. This will work on all torched S.S. caps. If you ever want to torch it again, you can hold it over the blue flame of your kitchen stove until the cap is glowing orange and then let it cool down naturally. This is what I did on my ERA cap and it looks awesome on my Black/Gold Mini V.2 18490 Reo!
