I went to school in Golden for four years, dearme is trying to ease your pain, its really a step backwards. I spent hours, days even, climbing and hiking a lot f the state and it is absolutely beautiful -- but dry and treeless and there is a paucity of birds I always found perplexing and sad. Also, you will not believe how much you miss excellent restaurants and culture, especially museums and zoos.........

Hey all just got home from work will catch up on thread after I watch Swamp People.
Good evening my friends!! Well tomorrow is Friday, and Zen did state that the Mini's will be shipped tomorrow, and some of the Standards. I did get a Standard, hoping mine will be in that some batch!!! Anyways, he said next week they would ship, and I will be vaping on a new Zenesis Standard next week some time!!! Can't wait!! Just got a cheap genesis style atomizer, and it is not working out for me!! Maybe I will just take a few Valiums and sleep till I get my best Vape mail I will ever received, or until I get another Zenesis!!
so in the interest of science, I just did a experiement.
I took a new wick and put in in one
I did the jack frost in another
I took zen's wick out of one and re-oxidized it and put it back in.
Here are my results so far.
I do want to say for those who are so inclined, that making your own wick is super easy. The main thing I was unsure of was how long to torch the thing for. Some parts ended up being brown for lack of a better description and some black. I was not sure how far to go. That one I did at 15mm wide.
Here is what I know so far. I do not notice a huge difference between Zens original that was oxidized again and the "jack frost" method. It is hard to say if there is even a huge difference between the ones he sent and the re-oxidized ones.
Here is my conclusion so far. If you want to use the ones that came with the devices and stay in the spirit of what Zen intended by providing a easy to use device that is hassle free, do it. You will not be sorry.
If you are a tinkerer which many of us are, they go ahead and re-oxidize or just make your own. You might like one with a narrower mesh. Even if you like this option, you could take the ones that came with the devices, cut them down and use them. If you want to make your own, then do so. It is kinda fun, but so far as I can tell, not necessary.

Glad to hear people are having success with tierrataz's posted JackFrost method and Lorderos instructions on cleaning/giving your Zenesis a tune up!
I wish I had some mesh so I can give it a try. I'll take a look on fleabay.
It's official, although I've had improvements in vapor and wicking, the flavor is still very muted. I found the last 2ml of bobas in the bottom of my juice bin and loaded her up. Tons of vapor but only the slightest hint of that spicy graham cracker taste. It's the first 100% vg I've tried however. The bounty hunter is better but nothing like what I've experienced with a good atomizer on a provari when you hit the sweet spot. Next on my to do list: Get some 325 mesh and try a wick.
Well it's only end of day 4 with the AYS, my first ever rebuildable, so I'm not discouraged. Just getting started.
Only real discouragement is that my wife hates the Zenesis. She likes to lounge on the sectional sofa with her ipad, and the fact that she can't toss it beside her without worrying about leakage is a deal killer. In fact the other day I had the AYS sitting up in my shorts pocket, sat down for a few mins to look at something she was watching on her ipad, got up, took the AYS out, and the tank was empty... I had a half a tank soaked into my shorts. For now she's sticking with the provari carto/tank because it's worry free.
