i want to share something i have noticed about my zenesis. i cant wait for my z-atty pro and for when i can get a kick.... i notice my zenesis performs best at 4 wraps when at 3.7-3.9 volts. when at the end of my battery life this thing is awesome. at 4.2 volts i get quite a bit of dry hits(im a chain vaper)at 3.7-3.9(3.7 especialy) it is pure awesomeness. if nothing else the kick adds battery regulation and for what i feel, the ultimate in zenesis vaping. i know you may not feel the same zen, but i can see what such a device yields for some of us. yea sucks for battery life, but im carrying everything around me all the time so why not have an extra battery with me?

This is where the adjustability of the Genisis atomizer comes in. Make a new coil with 5 wraps instead of 4 :).

So the battery life is short? Are you using the 2000mah?Do you get a good tank vape wise on one battery?

Would it make that much of a difference with 5 wraps then 4 as far as battery life and warmth of vapor

I'd like to respectfully disagree. While I know Zen doesn't fully endorse the kick, it is a wonderful tool to maintain regulation. You don't have to fiddle with the setup (regardless of gen-style, atty, carto, etc.) once you've figured your sweet spot. You get a consistent vape from fresh battery to needing recharge.

If given a resistance value, the kick can be adjusted to maintain a power level throughout the life of his battery and possibly help to alleviate the undesirable effects experienced from a new battery.

Just my $.02.

I changed out my wick to 325 yesterday, it was a bit of a pain but it will fit with some patience and a little swearing.
So far so good. The wobbly switch is slightly annoying since I have to press it straight down or else it wont even move. Also my juice was too thick for the 400 mesh so I tried to put in the 325, even after tightening it up like I was rolling up some sensi it still wouldnt go in. I had to cut a little bit off to make it fit in the hole. 3 wraps burns the juice too quickly, or perhaps its the wick I need to tweak on. Either way I am happy. Now that I have one, it seems too long for the pocket outings (id rather keep a spare 18350 on hand), anyone interested in trading for a mini?

As far as the best PV for the money, id have to agree.

0045 FTW

I was going to try this, but decided to try the idiot version with tape and a syringe, tape over and punch a hole with the syringe. Works great.
Hello Zenfidels, here is that modification that Zen~ mentioned recently. I did this because I personally prefer a stiffer draw and have read that there are others who also prefer this so I wrote up how I tightened the draw on my Zenisis in case anyone else wants to do the same. He went over alot of what this does and the possible risks in his post so I'll just get right to it then :)

You need a dremel with a grinding cutoff wheel, an 18 ga needle, a VERY TINY drop of super glue, a fine pointed prescision file and a standard Zenisis cap.

What you need to do is use the dremel to cut a 1/8" piece off the needle. Use the file to make sure the ends of the piece you just cut are clear and to hold this tiny piece of needle securely.

Test fit the needle piece to the Zenesis cap. It should fit right in the hole with almost no play, but not snug. If it fits as mentioned, you're ready to set it in place.

Take the tiniest drop of superglue and put it on the outside of the needle you just cut off, being careful not to get any on the file.

Put the glue covered needle into the air inlet on the Zenisis cap till it is flush with the outside of the cap and hold it there for 5-10 seconds. The glue should set almost immediately.

Now pull the file back out of the glued together parts and put the cap back on the Zenisis.

Give your Zenisis a test vape. If you did everything right it will now have a tighter yet comfortable draw and should create a nice vaccum in the vapor chamber that will prevent dry and harsh hits.

If you decide to try this, please be careful not to damage the finish on your Zenesis by using too much glue. Remember, less is more in this situation.

Good luck and happy modding.

I'd like to try a kick because the regulation sounds nice, but I've gotten along nicely so far without the need for it. Wattage regulation does sound like a nice luxury though :)

Just not as pretty ;)

I like that mine does not look any different. I know there is the possibility of making a mess, but I was really very careful with it :).

It is, quite frankly, THE BOMB :)
Most any tube mod can now operate like a Darwin.

I've been using it with my GGTS and one of the Precise Pluses. It works great and I personally enjoy the consistency. It was one of the reasons that most of my PV's were taking a back seat to the ProVari. I liked a fresh battery but found I kept looking for it once the battery started to fall off from the new charge.

Do I think the Kick is a game changer? Meh. Not really.

Do I enjoy the consistency I get from it? Very much so.

YMMV. :D

Five wraps will give you a cooler vape and maybe not burn as easily.

Slightly cooler... Then move the hole away from the wick a little bit and she heats right back up.

Benefit of 5 wraps is longer battery life.

If you're scorching juice at 4.2v definately give 5 wraps a try. I find the sweet spot at 4.1 v- 3.6..... I change the battery when it gets below the sweet spot.

Well I have been using AVE Gorilla Juice now in my Mini for 2 solid days and had the hybrid PV for over a week now. Yesterday I bumped my wick with the top cap removing it or something, caused a fold in it and it stopped wicking well. So I rebuilt. The one thing I find by thinning the pre-built wicks, is it takes the stiffness out of the wick. It is what it is, but it does work, and I find the oxidation is done very well as I can get a coil going in minutes with them. With AVE 100% VG, I am having ZERO wicking issues, using 325 and 4 wraps of 32g kanthal. Flavor, vapor, are out of this world, and TH is doing good. I do not draw hard on it all, sort of fire it and take a very light draw until I am done firing and then inhale it. Works great for me! Different style then I usually use for other PVs, but I really like it and it cuts down on liquid and condensate in the top cap.

BUT, I have never been a fan of the bottom button TBH. However, I finally have figured a way for my mini to fire every time and very reliably with no "finicky" firing, and I am liking it more and more. Of course this is with a clean switch screw and battery terminals.

1. I found with certain batteries I could rock the switch by basically grabbing the PV and wrapping my pinky around the edge of the switch, then rocking it by pushing on the switch edge. But that only worked with a batt that fit perfect.

2. Then there was firing using my piNcky or ring finger as a rest for the switch, and pushing up with that finger or pushing down from the top of the PV. Fairly reliable, but a little finicky in firing... I occasionally would have misfires and would have to readjust where I was pressing. Plus, I find it tiring to my fingers (this coming from a banjo player!).

3. FINALLY found what works for me 100% of the time, but it is hard to describe (so I added pictures)... Hold the PV in my fist with the first three fingers, so the my pinky is free. Then wrap that pinky digit around the base/switch so that it between the middle and outer joints. The switch sits against the palm side of my finger, and my finger is basically putting pressure against the outer edges of the switch. Squeeze it. It fires 100%.

Any other ideas???

So moving the air hole away from the wick heats up the vape? I moved to 3 wraps because I like the warmer vape. I have been using vv for about a year now and like most vapes 4.5-5v.

Don't get them off the classies, they are going for double the price there. One person even admitted that they bought five of them so they could sell four on the classies for more money.
