has anyone ever gotten less excited for a concert because of the thought that youre probally going to have to bring a carto tank :/

Rolling my own wick today and had a thought. I read that a fatter wick stops over wicking but takes longer to heat the coils, what if I wrapped the wick thick from top of insulator into tank and wrapped the reg. size wick to the coil, basically I'd wrap and oxidize the little one first then do a normal size one and oxidize it too then unroll the longer one insert the smaller one and I'd have a fatter wick with less coil resistance. Will this work you think?
Interesting idea. I've heard of folks wrapping a fatter area under the coil to have more wire to heat up and more juice available to it. Please do let us know how it works for you.
i decided to try going from a 5/6 wrap to a 3/4 wrap last night, it seems like it produces more vapor more quickly and the coil heats up a lot quicker too, which i like. my gf prefers more coils so when she did her first wrap i left it like that, but since her bday zap should be coming in the mail tomorrow i figured id put it back the way i like it, and i like it so much better this way.... heres a pic...
Do you roll a dense wick or more like the wicks Zen ships. I've found denser wicks with the same number of wraps take longer to heat up and produce vapor. Seems for me it's not just the number of wraps but also the density of the wick that determines how 'fast' vapor production begins.

jsl1ce, sorry your girlfriend didn't know about my necklace at VaporCon. Poverty is the actual mother of invention. The only way I could afford that trip was to sell some things, so I got creative & made jewelry. It was a one-time only kind of a gig. But it worked!

i roll it as tight as i can w/ as small of a cavity inside that i can, when im done it is usually too big to fit into the insulator so i have to roll it down some more between my fingers to make it fit, it goes into the hole but barely
, then i cut the bottom peice at an angle so that very little of it will touch the base if it slips down. I find that if you do it this way you get very little burnt juice.oh sweet, i have that kit, good to know. i think ill try and get the Gus mod that you mentioned though, is it the telescoping one that I have seen?

my grandma and mom live near the eastern shore and just got their power back recently, they have been w/out power again since another storm came through this morning.

get it in SS, it matches really well with the ZAU, and if you dont like the boat, (i dont, plz dont flame me
) you can get it w/out the boat on it. actually, tiff has one that i love, its looks AMAZING w/ the ZAU, theres a pic of it around here somewhere, if you could get one like that, it matches perfectly.my favorite number is 12, ill be cool w/ 12

Oh, yes, the whole purpose of the Caravela for me is to put the ZAU on top of it.
The only devices I have now are my 3 Zen hybrids (SS Mini, BAM, & cOBalt). Just feels like I ought to have another option besides hybrids. Of course, I know the ProVari has the most fans (& the VV option, which the Caravela does not) & I do like it but.... Well, the Caravela just seems more..., IDK, exotic, I guess. And, actually, I'm really attracted to the Brass. No, I won't be foolish enough to do the polished, but the brushed brass - ahhh! So pretty! And, yeppers, I LIKE the ship.
