I think I shall call my BAM Buffy cause she packs a powerful punch even though she's a light weight. Not sure about my zini yet.
I call my Standard "Lionel" cause it's beautiful like the sword of omens (thundercats reference) and hits like a train
Funny thing i already had a new coil wrapped of the 30Ga. when i read Mike's post. So i figured, what the heck might as well try it now.. Now that its wicking i have to say it seems like 5 wraps is a lil warmer then three wraps of the 32Ga. Don't care for it too much, i like the cooler vape.. Also there no chain vaping with this.. Im running the 400 mesh with 80/20 juice, tilting it and all and the wick has a hard time keeping up with the coil.. Flavor is meh! Throat hit is crazy.... Vapor is nice.. Blowing through the juice!
Voltron is a Standard with the same battery life, but being made of Titanium he will be much faster because he is lighter and more nimble.
Besides He's frackin Voltron! He is made of several Lions. Lionel is just some cat from a weird moon and he will go down in the 1st round while he is grooming himself.
Edit: Okay, so Thundera is a planet. I think Lunataks and Mumm-Ra were from a moon.
Interesting Fun Fact: It's Lion-O, for "O" you just got pwned by Voltron.
I always thought it was Lionel too, but Wikipedia says otherwise.
The switch looks kind of simple, doesn't it?
But in reality, it's amazingly complex!
One thing that most people don't think about is that most switches have springs in them, and that spring carries the current from the switch contact to the body of the PV.
Well, those springs really sink a lot of current and rob the PV of power!
With the magnetic switch, there's no spring, so has anybody wondered how the current conducts to ground?
The Switch button has a slight amount of "play" in it... so when you push the button it tips a little to the side, and when the side of the button scrapes along the side of the switch housing/battery cover... it makes electrical contact across a pretty wide area conducting WAY more current than a spring ever could.
So long story short, the scraping is normal and entirely necessary!
People have asked why I don't use a flat top screw on the switch... and the reason is that a flat top can prevent the switch button from rocking to the side, and prevents it from firing.
A lot of thought went into something that looks really simple.
And some do make a little more noise than others... perfectly normal
That would have to be Chuck Norris for the guys and Ripley for the ladies! IMHO of course.I'll think of the most badass name there is and I will defeat you all! Just give me time!
I'll behave, no need to have any forum administrations intervene here.
But in all honesty and strictly theoretically, why won't genesis mods work at 6v? I agree that 3.7v is definitely adequate to power our mesh wick atomizers, but I just haven't come up with any sort of a logical explanation as to why a 10 wrap 32g coil around a genesis atty will pop at 6v, but the same coil will hold up fine when wrapped around a silica wick. Does the oxidization just not hold up?
Hey guys, besides the size, whats the difference between the different gauge Kanthal? I have 30 and 32.. Im figuring the thicker the wire the more power can travel through it.. Also the thicker the wire, the more area cover on the wick, correct? Is this a bad thing? Will it take the thicker wire longer to heat up?
Zen, why was 32Ga. your choice for the Zenesis? Is it just a good medium?
The 30ga wire will have a lower resistance per inch so to achieve the same resistance more wire is needed. You will end up running 6 or 7 coil wraps to ge the same resistance as 4 wraps with 32 ga wire so it will be slightly more difficult to wrap the coils so closely. Because of this lower resistance, the coil will get hotter faster and so will actually increase performance, but be careful. Thicker wire with less resistance if wrapped without enough coils will show the battery a very high load (approaching hostile) and if you are not using a very high quality battery as recommended by Zen~ you could create a dangerous situation for yourself.
Don't get me wrong, there is nothing bad about 30ga kanthal wire, you just need to realize that it does produce a much lower resistance coil than 32ga wire so you need to make sure that you have enough coils to stay in the safe range. Also when needing to wrap many coils it is much harder to wrap them properly because the greater potential for shorts due to the greater number of coils around the wick.
Sorry if I am all over the place on this, I tend over explain things sometimes
**** Edit ****
And it looks like I was late to the party too, lol, should have read more before posting this![]()
haha thats fine, yea i don't care for the 30 too much
Dang landlord, Is that the wire I sentcha?

More water? She started a pot if beans for tomorrow and low-and-behold lookie what the beans are telling me to buy.....
