So I want to reflect on a few things here, and maybe vent just a little...

Lately I've been taking heat for some things that I feel are out of line, and I want to set the record straight.

1) Communications...

On a slow day, I get 250 PMs and 150-200 emails asking "How do I buy"... or "Put me on the list"... Sometimes they say "I'm on the list".

People need to realize that I can't answer just shy of 500 PMs and emails per day.

I will rephrase that... NOBODY can answer that many communications per day.

When the lists were open, I responded to as many as I could, but I couldn't do all of them...

I told people in the thread I couldn't... and I put a message on the FRONT PAGE OF THE SITE that I would not be answering PMS... when lists closed, I posted it here and on the site.

Well, the lists closed and the PMs and eMails kept pouring in. I responded to as many as I could... but that was probably 15% of the requests.

Personally, I feel I communicated pretty well what was happening.

Fast forward to today... At Vapor Wall, I was pretty viciously attacked about it. And for the last few days I've been under scrutiny in PMs about it.

I guess what I want to say is I'm sorry. I thought that by posting my wishes to not be PMed about lists because they were closed, along with the BOLD statement on the FRONT PAGE of the site would have been enough to clue people in that simply sending me an email requesting to be on a list that was already closed would have been enough to curtail them from doing it.

I'm not sure what more I could have done. But whatever I missed, I apologize for not doing it.

I know it is disappointing to think you were on a list for months only to find out you were not... But I didn't give you any reason to think you were on the list. In fact, I clearly told people when the lists were closing, in advance of them closing, and I closed them in public... it wasn't a secret that they were closed.

But people are angry... really really angry.

But let me ask you all something...

Do you know how many people tried to bribe me to ship their March PV in February?

Do you know how many times people tried to sneak onto the lists by sending me copies of PM's that never existed in the first place?

Do you know how many women offered me certain favors if I would bring a PV to VapeBash or the upcoming VapeStock... circumventing the list?

I have seen the lowest form of human behavior... over a PV.

People have BEGGED and PLEADED.

Then the whole serial number fiasco came up as well.

Now I'm going to tell some of you how I feel about you... and this applies to very few people... and most certainly not the regulars in this thread.

I'll start by saying 95% of the vapers I have met are amongst the nicest, kindest, thoughtful people I have ever met. Every regular in this thread I consider to be a friend... a DEAR friend at that. I would bend over BACKWARDS for any one of you.

But 5% of the vapers I have encountered are VILE and DISGUSTING people that I have grown to despise. They are selfish, cruel and despicable.

These 5% represent the lowest level of society, and they behave in a manor that is so reprehensible that I wish I could block their IP addresses from my site, never to hear from them again.

They behave in a fashion that make animals appear to be civilized. They are Angry, Broken people.

And yet I feel compassion for them. I wish I could help them see that they are seething with anger, and that they should learn how to purge themselves of that poison. That they should open their eyes and have a hard look at how others see them.

When a comedian gets on stage and he thinks he's funny... it doesn't matter... if the audience doesn't think he's funny, he's not funny. His perception of his comedic value is meaningless if the audience doesn't feel the same way.

I think I communicated well... most people got it, understood it, and rolled with it. But it doesn't matter what I think!

A portion of the audience didn't see the bold notice on the front of the site. They didn't see my plea to NOT send me requests via PM or any other method. They didn't SEE that the lists were closed ON EVERY PRODUCT PAGE OF THE SITE.

To these folks, I have failed and they wish to punish me.

If it makes them feel better, I can take it, I guess.

But I would much rather say, have a good life... I hope you get your demons under control, and I wish you the very best. I have a lot of PVs to sell soon, but I can't be all things for all people... best case scenario, I'll try my best to get this right.

This is why I did away with "verbal commitment" lists and changed to open purchasing for the stock stuff, and pre-paid or deposit lists for the special stuff. This way there is no question... if ya paid your admission price, you get to see the show. If ya didn't, sorry, you missed out.

There's nothing more I can say or do that will help.

If you think you were on a list, and you have proof of it... You get what has been promised... if you didn't get on a list, the same outcome applies... I promised you nothing and nothing is what you shall receive.

I just want to make some great PVs and sell them to nice people that will appreciate them, without 5% of the people behaving like spoiled children.

Is that too much to ask?

I've been searching for the right way to say this lately, and I can't think of a better way to put this. With that said, it's easy to focus on the negative side of the equation, but I feel overall that the vaping community has a higher ratio of good to bad than any other community I've been a part of. I *wish* that only 5% of people at my work were selfish, shiftless people trying to take advantage of the rest of the employees and company. On top of that, not only is the ratio of good to bad extremely weighted in favor of the good, but there are some people in that 95% that are far and away some of the nicest, most helpful, generous people that I've ever met.

Again, and I'm probably more guilty of this than most, so I'm typing this out for my own benefit - try to focus on the overwhelming amount of good in the community than the 5% - even though it seems like that 5% is doing everything in their power to overwhelm the 95% with sheer determination and volume.

I think that's more than fair, Mike.

That guy over there was pretty viscous and came off looking like an .... You're absolutely right, other than the remaining listers, you owe nobody nothin.

I wanted a Zenesis really bad when I first saw your video. But, I waited patiently by stalking the classies, this thread, and your site. I paid my dues. I didn't act like a child. And now I'm proud to own the two PVs that satisfy me enough to quit buying a bunch of crap.

Take it easy, have a drink, and get some well deserved rest.

Peace to all Zenfidels! :D

I agree completely, and I'm not intentionally dwelling on the negative... of late... the negative has been feeding on me... testing my resolve and pushing me to my limits..

there are FAR more good than bad people in vaping... but bad are SO awful that it really casts a shadow over things at times.

Send them my way Zen, I'll put the right on top of my list!;)

In all sincerity, there's always a portion of any community that are complete douchebags. I'm sorry that you had so suffer yet another attack. Tell them they are now on Scottinboca's Official Ship List. (I think you know what I mean by ship)

Zen,

I think, no I know, that you are a lot more diplomatic that I could be under those circumstances.

Glad that you got it down in black and white, and HOPEFULLY the 5% will read the post.

Do I want a Zenesis Standard? You bet I do. Have I ever mentioned it in this thread? No. Why? Because I can read, and know what "SOLD OUT" means, and also read the fine print that says the product will be in stock on May 7th.

So I patiently wait, set the alarm for 00:01 AM on the 7th, and pray that I'm fortunate enough to obtain a dream.

You have too much on your plate to even think about the 5%. They are lost. Your presence and assistance on this thread (as evidenced by the recent assistance to the member who stated his unit would not fir) is clear evidence of your dedication to a superior product that you believe in.

Now put the 5% out of your mind, and make our dreams come true.

Thank you very much for your efforts, and in my opinion that was a very mild vent.

... internet haters. I am sorry you never learned how to read. Zen is a craftsman NOT a Mcdonalds. Crying does not get you a new cheeseburger.

Zen, thank you for all you have done and are doing. My standard has joined the shortlist of items purchased sight unseen that exceeded all expectations. It has vastly improved my vaping pleasure. It is terrible you are getting messages from people who can't read, but can type.

Jeebus, sorry you're having such a hard time with the dippos. I worked in sales for years and the entitlement some people display in every facet of their life is truly staggering. I was always amazed at the sheer effort that must be necessary in order for a dippo to be a successful dippo. All the best to you and your obvious headaches that will arise with this next release. Speaking of which, is there really no way in which I can...I kid, I kid. Peace brother :rickroll: have a vape on me.

Believe me Zen, I truly wish I was joking :(
Customs can be contacted at information@customs.gov.au or on +61 2 9313 3010 from outside Aus 24/7.
I want to buy a mini when they come up on the website next week, is there any chance you can send it express this time? I'm more than happy to pay extra :)
