My sidewinder fires with the insert in place,but don't with a kick in it.It might be my batts,some are well used,some are fairly new(all AW IMR's,got a few more charging right now).I'm weeding out the old ones,it seems even with a full charge,they don't have enough oomph under load to fire the kick or provari mini with a ZAP.
Or could it be that the kick compartment is anodised and the kick is not making a good ground?I have read that anodised aluminum is not the best conducter.

Lookin forward to a clear tank,I know plenty of experienced vapers say"you don't need to see the juice,you'll learn the signs".I still like to see the juice,instant juice level indicator.

I do believe that you need to take a brush tip on a dremel to the inside of the kick chamber, the ground screw should definitely not be touching any anodized surface.

Gruss make sure your positive post is not loose. Unfettered had a zap that would not fire but I didn't get to see what mike did to fix it. I think it has something to do with the center pin.

He tightened up the center post for me.

i think i may try to get one of those 3rd level Cobalts that Zen took home (apparently)...id scuff mine up anyways so i dont mind if it comes pre-scuffed

im guessing electronicstix will get the leftovers after Zen takes a few days to relax

My problem is I'm to much of a Ti purist.. The Inconel weighs in at about 50% more than the Ti.. Agree it is one slick looking APV, love the AYS tank on a mini idea..

Only the battery tube is Inconel. I don't know what Zen's logic was on this one, but no way was I gonna question it, or his choice of materials. He is an artist and this is one man who knows what he's doing whether I understand it or not.

Hey everyone! I got in a few hours ago with Mookie and Pais. I had an awesome time and it was really great to see everyone, spending time with old friends and new ones. I won't bother with a "by name" list but there are no exceptions. I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet everyone I did.

For those with sidewinders, if you can't get the kick working, just be patient. Mike said it will work with a kick but didn't say it would be today. But this thing rocks with the kick installed.

My CC was used for attempted fraudulent charges today, but thankfully I have fraud protection and they contacted me to confirm the activity, which was not mine. I think I got scanned while at the con personally, but that is only speculation, it was also used at the kitchen64 across the street... I know a lot of the Zenfidels were there, so watch your accounts!

On a brighter note - Pirate Booty just got kicked into high gear on the Cobalt!!!
