If I thought that there was even a remote possibilty that I could go zero nic right now and still stay tobacco free I would be giving it one heck of a shot! The entire industry is just scary in so many ways.
Someone bought 48 mg, it was too strong, they sent it back for exchange, and got 48 mg and 36 mg, which were tested by me as too strong. Same lot.

This is just almost beyond comprehension. So they never took it seriously from the beginning and sent the same nic back out that the problem was reported with. WOW
It appears they just don't care. If they did they would have taken this more serious back then and now.
Right and I tend to believe that it is all about fast money for many of them. Not all but many.
Thank you Kurt for your excellent work. I have only been into diy for about a month, I bought a diy kit here on the classifieds and it came with a bottle of box elder. I have been reading this thread daily and when I saw the lot numbers posted today I decided I should check my bottle. Here is what the label states:
120 ML LevoNic
Nicotine Liquid
48 MG/ML 4.8% W/V
id 120 048VG
Diluted with 100% Vegetable Glycerin Lot 257 Exp. 05/27/12
So is this from the affected lot(s)? I have mixed 20 or so 3ml batches down to 10 or 12 mg/ml and it has not made me sick, it does not taste different/stronger than vendor made 12mg I have. I have an emergency bottle of 24mg boba's in case I really have a nic fit and when I vape an atty of that it gives me a head rush. This is not doing that, but it has me worried I am not at the correct mg/ml. I am trying to cut nic down gradually, so do not want it to be higher by mixing error due to mislabeling. It has the slightest smell to it, kind of musty but not as strong as fishy and it has the slightest tint to it when decanted into a clear plastic bottle, not real dark/tan but just slightly off of clear.
What should I do in this situation? Thanks in advance and thanks to you all who are helping make vapers safer.
Has anyone here bought bad niquid from Lu, Violet, or Blacksmith Pro? Ummm... didn't think so...![]()
Maybe start another thread to bad mouth 'em?
So do you guys still think that the culprit is just sloppy/incomplete mixing that created hot spots in the batch? Or what else could have caused it? And does he start with 100% nic or 22% (or 27)... I can't figure it out...
Looked hard - no pattern to it. Just seems sloppy work. The worst possible summary - very sad
I started believing that over a year ago and now it's been reinforced. I'm upset that the vendors aren't disclosing who they buy their nic from. If I were them I wouldn't be concerned about someone stealing my source as much as letting my customers know who I buy from and not just that it's not BE. So what if someone goes to their source! Geez, how important is it in the whole scheme of things?! Opportunism in this emerging market!
It sounds like it is fine. I don't think every bottle from this lot is necessarily bad. Lots can be quite large. If you want me to test it, I will need about 20 mL, but if you are not feeling anything different, both too much or too little, my guess is its ok. PM me if you want the test.

I wish they would just issue a statement and tell us what the heck happened.
Is it true that he offered to sell the bad batch for 50% off? I read it somewhere, but I don't believe it.
