I'm disappointed to hear there's another delay, but..... once I get past my lust for instant gratification, new-toyitis, whatever, I realize I'd rather wait a few more weeks for a quality product than get something sub-par now.

And yeah, a minor aesthetic flaw may seem trivial, OTH I've seen the original LT dinged in at least one review because the logo started wearing off after extensive handling. So I can understand where Joe & Co are coming from with wanting to get every detail right.

Gives me time to think about which color I really want for now . Up in the air on the gun metal as every PV I owned has been silver ,gray or chrome, thinking the black will look quite nice . Hoping the logo on these new ones wont wear off as fast , bugged me about the original, as .... as it is.

Yeah, the market for Lavatubes and their clones has gotten extremely competitive in the past few months, so releasing a sub-par product (whether it's got aesthetic or functional problems) would probably be a bad business move at this point.

(Sorry, that comment was directed more at what was being said a few posts back about the LT 2's finish -- I got a mid-post writing phone call).

Joe, do you have any plans to release a rebuildable atomizer at some point? Sorry if this has been asked before.

Not at this time. We have talked about it but still on the fence about it. If we do it will still be down the road a bit. We need to get all this Lavatube stuff worked out first before we can move on to anything else.

so, how bad of a problem is the paint issue... because if you haven't sent them back or refused the shipment you could probably sell the ones with the issue for a bit less if they are going to send another shipment of fixed ones...

But then, any new information you can give would be sort of amazing...

I don't know if this has been asked or answered, but do you have any plans for a stainless steel version of the LT2?

I asked that same question and was answered with a yes, but I'm sure it will be awhile. They're also working on making a top adapter that will give it a center spring post like in the current chrome LT. But that's probably way of in the distance.

Nice. Thanks for the info. I have the stainless steel LT and I really like the feel of it (it's the one with the built in ego adapter), so am really glad to hear this. The Volcano LT2 in stainless steel would be very, very nice. Stainless steel in inferno red would be even nicer (if that's possible) :2cool:

They posted a little bit ago on the site that they were already sent back to be fixed.

Just curious if they were still manufacturing more of the gun metal when Joe had to make the change or if they had moved on to producing the colors which were supposedly a couple of weeks behind. I mean I suppose the colors might come first now. But Joe will probably not release them out of the planned order.

As frustrating as this is for those of us waiting to buy one, Joe I can't believe you didn't have a nervous breakdown when you found the flaw. Hang in there guy. I, for one, will wait until you are happy with your product. I am sure most of us will; except for the few who just need to replace their failing devices sooner. Thanks, in advance, for keeping us updated on your progress and we all hope all goes smoothly forward.

there was a second wave of black and grays being made when we got the first batch, so those will be corrected and shipped here very soon. Then the others will make it back there and get fixed and then the colors will still launch about 3-4 weeks after the first set.

Oh we all had a stress filled day and night.

Oh man... more waiting.

Thinking aloud only: why can't they fix the connection while they are at it to a sealed 510/eGo? It seems such a shame after all the other adaptations/design work for there to be such a minimal connection. Yes, yes I know there's going to be an adapter (sold seperately). But it seems like an afterthought you know?

My husband and I are juggling between two mods atm and won't decide until the LT2.0 gets reviewed. So I guess, we will just keep waiting.
