I didn't sell my only device in anticipation of the V2 release because I know that vendors' projected release dates tend to be, uhh, approximate at best. Especially since I tend to vape at lower voltages, I'm more than willing to wait until the voltage issue is fixed. My hat's off to Joe for dealing with this issue head on!

My only question is why wasn't this picked up until now? I mean, they had a round of testing, then the paint issue, then more testing, then delivery, and it only becomes an issue now?

There's been a lot of hubbub about pulse-width modulation lately and the larger issue with PWM inconsistency has really only come to light within the past few weeks. This is a problem that many manufacturers have been forced to deal with recently.

I can't believe this device keeps being delayed, delayed and delayed some more! This thing was suppose to be released all the way back in late July and here we are in October now and still another delay has popped up after the paint issue? I think people have a right to be annoyed with this, this is just flat out absurd now! Sorry for the rant but this whole thing caused me major issues...I sold my other device first week of August so I could use that money to purchase the new LT 2.0 because I only need one device, during the wait I just used my Magma (which is not easy to use once you have used a VV device) then weeks I sat back waiting, waiting and waiting...delay after delay after delay...then you announce "it's a paint issue" and we have to wait more (so I ordered another device because I could not wait any longer) now it's even worse and we have to wait longer.

Not to be rude but it was the fault of Volcano for releasing the release date of this device months ago (and yes it was released by JoeVolcano at one of the vape gatherings live on video), getting everyone all worked up about it and then disappointing everyone. Now they want to know why people are so upset with them and act we the customers, are the problem. We have a right to be, I am furious with this and the problems it has caused me. I made decisions based on the video back in July and now have regretted it ever since, you can't blame your customers for that.

Do you really think Joe did all these delays to screw with you? Obviously, his product is not up to his standards and he is making sure sure he does not release a sub-par product. The fact that he published a release date he was not able to meet is just a fact of life. If he all of a sudden released a product that had no advance notice instead, everyone would be yelling at him for not releasing a date earlier and saying if he had they wouldn't have purchased such and such and would have waited for his product and now they don't have money to buy it. We are all disappointed but if you have been following the general goings-on in the "Mod" world you know that the PWM method of measuring voltage is a new issue that has just come forward. I'm sorry that this had a negative effect on you and your plans (Really, no sarcasm intended) but I don't think you would be happy with a device that isn't as good as it could be.

I think that the hype may have been started a bit early, but I don't think there was ever a solid release date either. I was looking to graduate from my Twists with this device, but I for one would also like a properly functioning device. I bought another APV in the mean time, but when the time comes, I will also buy this one to use at work.

One rule I've learned here at ECF is that it is not official until it is official. Unless you can click "add to cart", Don't go and sell your only PV...

Looking forward to seeing this device as a final product.

As one of the people who got to test this device before release, I am blown away by Volcano's response to our criticism of the premarket version. They listened! Not only that, they are fixing it. Judging from the response of some on here, fixing it at some collateral expense for their company.

How many times have people in this forum and others .....ed about being beta testers for XYZ manufacturer, because the company was in such a hurry to get a product out, that it was full of flaws. In the past, we all rushed out and bought version 1.0 of whatever and then complained that it was wrong. Guys, Volcano is doing it right. They don't want to put a sub par device out there. It was good, but it was wrong. They took it to heart and are making it right.

That is the kind of company that gets my money. A company that cares more about making an excellent product than making a quick buck.

Kudos JoeV and the rest of the Volcano team for caring enough to get it right the first time!

yes this was my experience with the initial lavatube release as i was a beta tester for the original. and there were minor flaws that were easy to fix and were taken care of before the launch. volcano doesnt only want to put out products that meets the needs of vapers but also surpasses the expectations of the most experienced vapers and builds customer loyalty with those devices.

I have gone on to purchase 1 additional original lavatube, 1 chrome, one of the newer chromes that has the ohm checker and 3.5 amp limit and will surely be getting the 2.0 when that is released. since i know it will be a flawless device.

Yes as a few people have already said the power issue with the PWM VV mods has only come to the surface in the past couple weeks. As you can see by the video by Filed of Vapor, the device was spot on for being turned for Vavg. We tried some simple changes on this last batch to correct the issue. But they still did not met what we wanted. So the chip is getting a full once over and the coding fixed so it is turned right to the Vrms.

These delays are killing us as much as they are killing you guys. We want to bring this to market as much if not more than you all want it here, but we will not put out a sub par device and make it better in later revisions. We want it right the first time around.

We are very sorry for the delays, and sorry for the eager release dates we have given in the past. We could have taken the first shipment we had received and made our first predicted release date of back around the end of July. But with the little issues we found and the now new power issues found no one would have been happy with it at all. Neither Volcano, or it's customers. We hope you can see we are doing the best we can and doing this for you the customer, making sure we bring to market the best product that we can.

Hey Joe,

We understand. Anyway, I remember all the release dates being said to be tentative, and I don't believe you ever issued an absolute release date. Well, now that I've been saving up, I could probably get two once they're out, and all the pain of waiting will be washed away :).

I ordered a provari in the meantime. But really wanted the 2.0 :(. If he takes a little longer having the new provari will wear off and it will be lavatube 2.0 time lol. Let us know how everything's going Joe

Same here, I "needed" a new pv and was debating between the 2.0 and a SS vmax, I decided on the 2.0 LT and waited until the first "major" delay...then ordered my vmax.... Looks like ill be "needing" another new pv by the time the new LT is ready :)
