How do you ultrasonic?

Hello! New mixer here. After mixing up and steeping a few batches in the ultrasonic, I have a question someone may be able to help with. I am using 10 and 30 mL plastic dropper bottles and they kind of just float around in the ultrasonic. I've tried weighing them down rubber banded to a small hand tool, and placing a mason jar over top of the bottles directly in the middle. I suppose I am just curious as to how you guys steep your bottles as to get the max effect of the ultrasonic. It seems like it gets more of the ultrasonic action weighed down in the center as opposed to free floating, but I could be wrong. Any input welcome, thanks!

Don't know if weighing them down would be more effective, but I just let mine float around. I suppose if you filled them close to the top and / or expelled all the air they might sink, but I doubt if it makes any difference. Expelling the air might be more beneficial just by reducing nicotine oxidation.

I use 1oz glass bottles which sit very nicely and don't float

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I'll just let them float for now until I can purchase some nice, smaller glass bottles. Ordered a couple 250mL glass ambers from MFS, way too big for the 10-30mL batches I'm making now. This DIY juice and head rebuilding hobby is doing wonders for my wallet. Amazing stuff.
