The primer isn't going to hurt you. Usually it isn't even noticeable (at one time, it tasted pretty bad... in the last 3 months, all my new atomizers have been fine. It is only PG). Don't try to "burn" it off... you can ruin your atomizer. Just drip your liquid on the atomizer bridge on a new atty...

Your nicotine level may be too high (is your passthrough a PS 5v? If so, you'll find you get lots more nicotine, and I had to cut my level down with mine). Also, you may be vaping a bit too much with the new PV (new toy syndrome)?

You can cut down your liquid nicotine level with Vegetable Glycerin purchased at Walmart or a pharmacy or buy zero nic liquid (such as TastyVapor's Doubler) to lower the level without losing any flavor.

Vaping in general takes time to get used to. It is easier to get too much nic in the beginning than from smoking, and the whole nic-on-demand thing is hard to control in the beginning, as Hellen said. Just finding your correct nic level takes time, and this level can change depending on your needs throughout the day. Sometimes I want higher nic with only a few hits. Sometimes I want to vape more with lower nic. If I can't vape at all, however, and there are certainly situations like that, I find I can go longer without anything than when I was smoking full time. Then it was 2 hours max before I would get serious cravings. Now it can be 3 hours or more.

I can't comment on the 5V thing, however. Haven't tried that yet. 3.7V is fine for me at present.

Be patient, don't overdo it, and enjoy!

I started vaping Tuesday night and really got the shakes (totally felt like I was back in the 80's lol) and was really thirsty.
But by the next day I had no problem- still drinking a lot but not like I thought I would.

I have to say for me it has just felt natural from the minute I held my 510 it was just comfortable.

I blew the atty out took a puff and holy crap! My lungs were on FIRE. 50 min. later and they still hurt. Waiting for the batts to fully charge (I cheated 3 drags) and am hoping it was the primer or you guys are nuts ,this is terrible and I just wasted $200.

Given I've only been vaping since Tuesday, I'd say I'm gettin' pretty good at it, actually. :)

Here's one, huge difference between old-fashioned analogs and my eGo: Whenever I smoked Marlboro Light 100s Menthols, I always did so in the shower (meaning, we have a ventilation fan above our tub, and I religiously forced myself to stand there and blow the smoke into it). I simply no longer hafta do that, anymore.

After reading forums and searching the internet obsessively before my order I opted to get unflavored concentrate 54mg/ml juice plus some menthol flavor since I previously smoked menthol.

I made small 1.5ml batches of 11mg/ml, 18mg/ml, and finally 24mg/ml. What I found that is for me just under 24 mg/ml is right for my tastes. Used the online calculator to mix roughly 21-22 mg/ml which is my happy place. Also reduced menthol flavor via the concentrate by one drop.

For a beginner I think the ability to experiment and increase or decrease concentrations on the fly is great to avoid buyers remorse in the premade cart strengths.

Now that I have found my proper level I went ahead and ordered a much larger quantity of 60 mg/ml unflavored concentrate and more PG and flavors to try out. Also picked up a bottle of VG to perhaps mix in a little to see how it affects vapor production. I think it works out to roughly 50 cents per ml at my concentration taking into account the Nic juice, PG, and flavoring which is not bad.

Yeah, I may have boo booed. My first order, which isn't here yet, consists of the PV and 5 24mg cartomizers plus 3 different flavorings of 24mg e-juice. I've been smoking a pack a day of full flavor analogs and sometimes a pipe, which I inhale, so I figured I needed the higher mg count. If it's too much, I can always buy some doubler and reduce the stength, or inhale a bit lighter. Time will tell.

Several things:
Don't smoke it like you smoked a cig - you must take slightly longer slower drags.
The nic in the juice you have may be TOO HIGH - what strength did you get?
Drip a few (no more than 3) drops of juice directly on the bridge so if it WAS primer that should get rid of it.
Give it a few days to get used to things - I love my PV now and 'real cigs' just can't compare to these lovely new flavors.
