How long did it take you to get into mods (and what was your first)?

Got my first volcano magna about a month ago and 100% analog free 6 days now so im really new as well and learning lots and loving it! I learned the volcano magna is a 510 so I just ordered
2 Boge 2.5ohm 510 Attys and 2 280 mah 510 batteries w/ some drip tips, empty cartridges, and a bunch of liquid.
Im looking forward to trying larger ohm attys and bigger batteries in the future once i can afford it.
i like some big hits seems i can burn up an atomizer quick Lol

Used 510's for 'bout a month, then started building 3.7v box mods, then a direct PT, then acrylic tube 3.7v, ... Constantly charging standard 510 batteries gets old real fast. Plus, I like to tinker. And, as a bonus, the 3.7 900 mAh batteries are about $5.00 each. Dual charger $10.00. That's a charger and 2 batteries for the price of 2 510 batteries. Just new batteries after that. :)

I started vaping around November 3rd, and on Monday I bought an Indulgence It should be here any day now =)
I've been looking at the ProVari that thing looks $$ but also I think that the Omega is awesome! I gotta really good deal on my Indulgence so I'm excited to see how it's going to work for me, I'm tempted to get the USB PT for it and the 6v sleeve already and i don't even have this thing yet lol..

About 30 minutes after my second mall type e-cig took a crap which was the day after my first one took a crap. Radio shack 4 AA box, 3 ni-mh cells and the little atomizer of the super mini and it puts out a ton of vapor. 3.6V and 2450 mAh. Can find batteries and chargers anywhere and they are cheap. In a bind, regular AAs work fine, too. It's half the thickness of a puck and the TH will make you cough. I'm kinda surprised more don't do this. Of course, IDK how it will do with a larger atomizer and the ones I have are proprietary and spendy.

it took me a month or so to switch from a Volcano Magma to a Chuck. i got tired of the button on it after another month or so and bought a Silver Bullet and Double Barrel cap. i'm happy with this setup now but am thinking about getting a bottom feed in the next month or two.

i sold my Chuck to my roommate and he's pretty much quit smoking now that he's got it (he's only dripped with it). he tried with a regular 510/carts and it just wasn't doing it for him.

I used the basic 510 kit for maybe 3-4 weeks and realized that if I didn't get something with a longer battery life I would either go insane or go back to smoking. Bought a 3.7v box mod from classifieds. Two weeks later bought a Saber from Classifieds that I still use daily. Bought and sold several other mods, then got a Buzz. :) Love my Buzz.
I use an Ego at work every day as well.

Good luck!

started with a 510 last Nov...then last Dec ordered a super T S6.. during the wait time I got an eGo...which I still use occasionally...
but was so happy with the S6 when I got it that I've been saving for a super T 18650 precise...
built a box mod as a back up and now a 18650 bottom tube feeder but I expect that the precise will still be my primary...

I paid for a juicebox mod during my first week as a non-smoker. That took 6-8 weeks to be delivered. By then, I'd found other (non-mod) upgrades to my 510. After I got the juicebox, I fiddled with it for a couple weeks ... no joy. It's for sale now in the classifieds.

I then bought a Silver Screwdriver. Not bad. but, meh.

I bought a Black Silver Bullet a few months ago. It uses the same 18650 battery as the juicebox.
Now I was seeing what a big battery mod could do.

Right now, I'm waiting delivery on my Precise 18650 ... anticipating delivery near Christmas. Can't wait! :)

I started in early September with a eGo model. Kept up on the normal 510 w/ Cart for a week then moved up to the 510 Mega. After a couple weeks of that I tried out the eGo Mega Cartomizer. It worked good but was annoying to fill with a syringe. Moved to a eGo Mega Low Resist atomizer and large Cartridge.

That seemed to work very well for awhile until I learned about juice fed box mods. After lots of research I happened upon the Reo Grand. I saved up and waited to pounce on the website as soon as they went on sale, and sold out in a few minutes but I did get one. Couple weeks later it shipped and I have been loving it. No more napkins, carts, blue foam, juice on hands, etc. I just swap a 6ml bottle and 1 18650 battery a day and I'm good to go.

The only problem with it is when people see and use it, they want one.

Edit: Forgot to answer the question hehe. I guess it would be 1 1/2 - 2 mths going from eGo to Reo

I'm using Riva/eGo batts right now and I love them, but I've been looking at the GLV's and Precise mods. I'd love to get my hands on a GGTS, but that will have to wait for a while. I'll be getting a 5V 510 PT sometime this week. I'd just like to get moved up to the real 3.7 or 5V mods and not break the bank doing it.

This is funny I just got my first kit less than a week ago, and my computer area is already a jumble of wires, batteries, and all sorts of spare parts. I haven't bought a mod, (yet) but it took me less than a day to start tinkering. The great thing is I'm just a couple of parts short of my first mod, just need a few cheap radio shack supplies and I'll be cooking :) (with out duct tape lol)

As I'm a welder by trade and a tinkerer by design, buying somebody else's rig just seems overpriced, and sort of like cheating, lol.

Forgot to mention I bought a V2 kit first (like a jack@%%), but I hadn't done a lot of research at that point, as I'm a busy fella'.

Exactly 3 weeks after I turned to e cig side of the world.

Thanks to all the cool people who helped me make my first mod purchase. THE OMEGA BABY!! OHHHHH YEAHHHHHHHHH.

I find myself cleaning off the nickle plated finish hourly though... i'm a weirdo..

I was listening to an old vapor cast episode lastnight while drinking a vodka/redbull and playing call of duty (it was the episode they were all drooling over the specs of the pulse by cisco)

I thought about waiting for a VV PV but i'm so scared that those things haven't been perfected and when i switch from 3.7 to 6.0 with a button push it's going to explode in my face.

Could you do a review on this when you get it? i'd really like to see it's performance for a NON reviewing reviewer (huh?)
